Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (December 4-5)

Welcome to the weekend! Well, we're spoilt for choice even more than usual over the next couple of days, with no less than 11 games added to Xbox Game Pass during the week, another three Free Play Days titles up for grabs, the usual selection of Deals with Gold and Spotlight offers, and the two latest Xbox Games With Gold now available to download.

Your backlog just got a whole lot bigger.

Here's what we're diving into this weekend:

To be honest, after a very hectic week for non-Xbox reasons, I don't think I'm going to get to play too much this weekend. If I do manage to fit a few hours in, I'm very eager to finally try TimeSplitters 2 with backwards compatibility β€” I bought it a couple of weeks ago, but was waiting until the aiming issue was fixed to properly tackle it.

I may play the odd game of FIFA, NHL or PES as well (sorry eFootball 2022, you're not doing it for me), and the other possibility is some Judgment, which I'm making very slow progress in, but I'm really enjoying it all the same. The story is great, the gameplay is great, and I love all the various side-activities you can participate in. I hear Lost Judgment is even better in that regard β€” at this rate, I'll probably get to it in 2031!

Have a good weekend, folks.

This weekend I'm pretty busy with guides and a few other things but I absolutely will be making some time for Mortal Shell Enhanced Edition on Game Pass.

I've played a fair bit of this one in its vanilla state when it first released and was really enjoying myself, but I heard they were bringing out this fancy version so decided to stop and wait. I've also foolishly reinstalled Microsoft Flight Simulator so several hours will no doubt be wasted on that at some ungodly hour of the morning.

Have a good weekend, guysssss.

I've been replaying all of the Halo games this year, and over the past week, I was able to finish the fight in Halo 5. It means I'm officially ready for Halo Infinite's campaign when it arrives next week.

In the lead-up to Master Chief's new adventure, I've been enjoying daily sessions of the game's multiplayer. I'm now beyond level 20 in the Battle Pass, and the updates to the progression seem to have helped. As for the rest of it, it's been good fun so far.

Other than Halo Infinite's multiplayer, I'm also revisiting the Xbox back compat program. I recently got my hands on a physical copy of The Orange Box - considered by a certain outlet as "the best deal in video game history". It contains five games in one box, although I'm not expecting to have much luck from Team Fortress 2.

Enjoy your weekend, everyone.
