@PsBoxSwitchOwner I was excited for this game, but it’s really just more open world slop with MMO fetch styled missions. It’s like a dumbed down version of Dragons Dogma 2 imo.

@FraserG can you ask it to pull information from a specific guide? Like I wouldn’t mind it if I found a guide by google and than used this so I wouldn’t have to keep pulling up my phone.

I think Xbox Helix sounds good. It’s simple, represents what their vision is and already recognizable.

If Gears E-Day delivers I will be happy. I’m also really looking forward to Helix, the marriage of console and PC is something I have been looking forward to.

Reanimal and Toxic Commando are the two games I have bought this year, both are fantastic.

A mixture of Toxic Commando, Diablo 4, Division 2.

Blight is looking pretty solid.

Great news! Been wanting to give this game a go since it launched on PC.

@themightyant the core Forza Horizon experience seems to be there. The compound stuff is exactly what it needs, they create these beautiful worlds to race around in or just drive around in. They have given a taste of owning and living in them, so the compound stuff seems like the correct natural step for the series.

@themightyant I think a lot of the new stuff is in the building your own compound part of the game. I’m sure there will be some new modes and activities as well. But the compound building looks pretty cool

I have Toxic Commando preinstalled and ready to go! Been waiting a long time for it, looks like a great time!

I use Premium. I just don’t play many games on GP anymore and 99% of the day one games don’t interest me. Especially for that atrocious price

Hitting up that new Borderlands 4 content and also Helldiving. I will hit up Resident Evil 9 when it’s on sale.

@Balaam_ I hear this a lot and it’s valid but it’s a different mindset for these kind of games is all. Which isn’t bad it’s kind of refreshing when you approach a game differently. I will use arc raiders as an example, I have lost guns I have absolutely loved but the next round I just find another gun that I will use for a few rounds, lose that one and move onto the next. It’s almost like a breaking mechanic in a SP game, don’t get attached to any equipment and be prepared to pick up another.

Cautiously optimistic. I like what I am hearing so that gives me hope but actions speak louder than words.

Wife and I were going to try this last night but we kept getting sign in errors. I saw people saying the same online, hopefully it’s fixed? Looks like a good time!

Oh maybe get a reveal of the new console this summer. I would be down for that.

If they want to keep the hardware alive they may need to eat losses on having exclusives again. I think that would also mean no more day 1 games on Gamepass as they will need the sales revenue. Games have to be fantastic. But really I think if they can release the next console and have games like Blade, a new Halo and Elder Scrolls 6 as exclusives, people will buy the new console for those games. Build the base back up and get a jump on PS after the news of their next console delay. I think aggressiveness will atleast get something rolling for them on the hardware side.

Might pull me away from Arc Raiders a little this weekend for this. Sounds like a good time.

It’s hard to say what to do with things like Gamepass without the numbers sitting in front of you. I could list a dozen things I would like them to do as an Xbox fan but the question is would all of it be sustainable?

So it is turning out that Sarah Bond was behind a lot of the bad marketing and people did not like working with her.

So if they are doing a 180 on what Xbox is how does that even look now? You have Halo and Fable both releasing day 1 on PS5 this year. Do you pull those plans? Do they go all in on exclusives again? Gamepass Ultimate may be in trouble of no longer existing? 🤔

Any word on the promised Doom The Dark Ages expansions?

@Cakefish you can still use the gameshare option. Just make your Xbox his home Xbox under preferences and he would make his your home Xbox. Than your game libraries will be shared.

@Cakefish the one thing you can do, if you trust the other person you are planning on playing with, is set up the home console as the person that bought the title. My wife and I use that for

@BacklogBrad yea it will be fun to see people try to keep spinning some sort of war out of it when Xbox’s will just fall under PC in the future

Reanimal, High on Life 2, Romeo is a Deadman, Crisol is solid. Will probably play them in that
Order as well

@Fiendish-Beaver I really hope Gears will be ready for PS5 on release as I want it to be available to as many people as possible on release so it’s successful.

Maybe a September release for Gears then. I would be very happy with that.

There is not enough room for two consoles that are almost exactly identical in the console space and still be profitable, especially with how expensive consoles are becoming. Xbox already admitted defeat in the console space, they are moving onto being a 3rd party publisher first and a hardware provider second. This doesn’t mean their hardware will go away but it will be, like somebody up above said more niche. They would burn too much money releasing their games only on their platform. Xbox/PC hybrids consoles will just be lumped in with the PC market but with a Xbox UI upfront and center much like the Steam Machine. They will not need to sell as many this way because their games will be available everywhere. I don’t find this to be doom and gloom because it means I can buy an Xbox and be fine with that, I won’t need to also buy a PS as their games will eventually be on the Xbox/PC hybrid and it will still have the Xbox UI and my game catalog plus more store fronts and probably will ditch the online pay requirement. All of these are pluses to me.

Consumer relations matter? I wonder if they are surprised?

Could see them revealing it at their Showcase or at The Game Awards like they did with the Series X/S. I hope they do, it feels like time for an upgrade.

@bert0503 I am enjoying it as well. The raids are a blast. Hoping they do something with the world though because it needs some livening up but the game will grow, hopefully.

I tried the first game and thought it was pretty mediocre. Never finished it so not surprised by this

@Balaam_ I imagine a lot of it is to keep the frame rate steady with the destruction of the bases. Slow down during those parts for this style of game would be brutal.

@InterceptorAlpha it’s getting review bombed because people have wanted it to fail. If you are into PvP games it is worth a try.

@Fiendish-Beaver I just finished the game. Brutal fun. A sequel is needed, they can call it The Collective. Because I need some answers! Such is our calling.

Gotta go where the largest base is. And that sure isn’t Xbox. The XPCbox will be nice when it comes around. Won’t have to worry about playerbase size anymore.

@Fiendish-Beaver yo just wanted to shoot you a message and say Cronos is fantastic! Can see why it was your GOTY of last year. Very tense game the inventory management is insane 😂
