I don’t know what this game is trying to be?

I got 3 fantastic games on rotation right now:

Far Far West (Steam): love this game. Like Deep Rock Galactic/Helldivers 2 but with Cowboys and magic.

Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred (Xbox): Loved the main story quest line to the expansion now headed into the endgame. I have enjoyed the changes made and the Warlock is a lot of fun to toy around with.

Saros (PS5): HouseMarque are one of my favorite devs, I just started this but oh boy it’s fantastic so far.

Good gaming this weekend and I have zero plans for once besides some yard work! Happy gaming!

@AI-Generation This is how I feel whenever I play games that are not on my PC now, I have all my Diablo stuff on Xbox and it's not play anywhere so my two expansion purchases I can not access on PC so I have been playing the new expansion on my Xbox and Saros isn't coming to PC so I have been playing that on my PS5 since Sony are butts about PC ports now, just imagining how much better it would look and play on my PC 😒

Bethesda have great ideas, world building and storytelling. But they need to leave that engine behind. All the trust they are losing with these crazy bugged games is getting out of hand.

My PC is downloading it now and says it's 146.4 GB not 156?

@Balaam_ I will be buying a Helix for the reasons you stated nobody will be. To be so negative all the time must be very exhausting for you.

Tencent Interactive Entertainment: $27.1 Billion

Microsoft Gaming (Xbox): $23.5 Billion

That was 2025 revenue, 8 Billion difference is a very large gap. And if revenue is even further down already this year that gap is only widening because Sony has had an increase in gaming revenue so far this year.

@Banjo- Xbox does not make as much as Playstation , Xbox I believe is still number 3 behind Playstation and Tencent but also pretty far behind PlayStation.

Make games exclusive to your own platforms. Xbox and Xbox PC. Make people want to invest in them, expand the Xbox PC library to try and match Steam. They have the means to make a large base. Do it.

The Warlock is a lot of fun. Like constantly spawning lil baby demons to throw into a meat grinder lol

I never could get into Greedfall but I did enjoy Steelrising. Was a fun little souls like.

It is fantastic!

Follow through and consistency. Establish what you want the brand to be, no more roller coaster rides for fans.

Luna Abyss looks sick. I know I am going to dump a ton of hrs into Forza Horizon 6. Very solid lineup for the next few weeks.

I am excited for the Halo remake since they did a complete rebuild and added some new story content. Black Flag as well. Remasters are the ones that I am more meh about. But I would love for Gears 2-3 to get a UE5 remakes.

I finished up Resident Evil Requiem last night, what a fantastic game! Currently sits at my GOtY. This weekend I want to get through Replaced. Really enjoying it so far. Hopefully can finish it before Lord of Hatred and Saros drop on the 28th!

The only acquisitions I can think of that would make sense is in the Asian markets where they struggle. Focusing there would probably be smart either through acquiring or getting more third party deals.

@Fiendish-Beaver Oh I agree that Nadella made things worse by stepping in but from the look of it he started stepping in more and more because Spencer's plans were not resonating as well as he had hoped. He certainly made things worse as did Bond.

@Fiendish-Beaver people forget that Spencer used to have a lot of control, but his plans flopped. He was supposed to lead Xbox back to the 360 days from the Xone to the Series X/S but it did even worse under his leadership. So I think Nadella started to control more. Now it’s Asha’s turn to show what she’s got and if her plans also fall flat than I imagine she will follow Spencer.

I like Asha, but I also liked Spencer when he took over and started making big moves. Hopefully this time it pans out for Xbox.

@Coletrain I agree. For example, no way Nadella would be behind taking out Windows Gaming. I think he hired her to fix the brand and gives her a pretty long leash on how to handle it because there is a level of trust there that may have existed with Spencer at some point but eroded over time

First party games exclusive to Xbox platforms should be an option on that poll. Make them exclusive to Xbox hardware and Storefronts. This would mean Nintendo and Playstation would be off limits.

@Balaam_ The key word in there is new generation. I don't want to assume your age but I imagine this isn't directed towards you and more for my teen sons which she is 100 percent correct about.

@themightyant I remember reading about the GDC stuff on here which definitely sounded promising. Hopefully it all pans out I think Helix can help out with incentives to publish on the storefront barring it sells well. Hopefully we see progress on more games coming to the storefront throughout the year. I just got a brand new PC so I am becoming more acclimated to it, but loving the freedom it presents and of course the power to run games at such a higher quality.

@Balaam_ Agreed. I think they are on the right path with the marriage of console and PC and should be focusing on making that marriage stronger. I imagine with all the news of Helix and the PC Xbox Fullscreen rolling out they are getting close to actually unveiling their vision for Helix and PC gaming soon. So fingers crossed!

@Fiendish-Beaver the thing with Asha is she is a platform builder. That is, I believe, why she was put as the lead for Xbox and why she has a much longer leash to do as she wants. Nadella needed somebody that he didn’t need to stand over to push the platform higher and I believe he saw her as that person. She has said Gamepass would be at the top of her list and there has already been changes based on community feedback and from the sounds of these leaked memos she is changing a lot more in the future with customization options. I say let her cook.

I would like to see them put more into the Xbox PC storefront. It’s missing a very, VERY large chunk of PC games and is mostly just there to house PC Gamepass when it could be so much more. Especially when the Helix drops. I feel like it should be a priority before that console drops.

@Fiendish-Beaver I look at how Microsoft used to always just stick to their guns while Spencer was in charge. Now Asha is there and all of a sudden they are listening to the community and actually did a pricing model based on that feedback. That is a pretty major shift. I think a lot of it is that Asha knows how to build platforms with community feedback and Nadella is probably giving her a lot longer leash than he did with Spencer especially as stuff started to sour more and more MS was taking over and micromanaging Xbox.

@kmtrain83 Anybody that is confused by how Gamepass is setup just needs to learn to read before clicking. It can be a hard concept but one I have followed for many years and has not failed me once.

@Fiendish-Beaver Asha is very much the person behind the Gamepass restructuring. She has been spearheading listening to feedback and going over the numbers and it’s paying off. All these decisions made she is the one now that signs off on. I give her a ton of credit for the direction Xbox is moving, she doesn’t just say “we hear your feedback” and do nothing, they are acting on it now and that is something she said she wanted to see more of from Xbox.

This is false. There is content locked on those lower tiers, plus resolution is lower and of course long ad breaks. And like Netflix Premium I think it would too be normal for Gamepass to have more subs on the lower and mid tier as well?

The PC sub is not the same as the Ultimate sub, they are both on PC. The reason console players pay more is because consoles are subsidized through online play. PC is not subsidized and online play is free.

@kmtrain83 Ultimate is still available on PC. PC Game Pass gets you all PC games (including day one), Ultimate is for all cross platform so it adds cloud streaming and console. Like my PC Game Pass does not work on my Xbox if I wanted that I would need Ultimate. So I would be more curious if Premium would be gone because Helix, being a PC would make Premium redundant.

@White_oyster It's cheaper than Netflix Premium plan (Ultimate's equivalent in tier) which is 27 dollars here in the US. It all depends on personal value across all these subs.

@MinervaX76 I think they have a lack of understanding that people value things differently. Like I am 10000000% going to buy Gears E-Day. But I understand that some people are fine with just renting it on Gamefly or playing it on Gamepass. This doesn't anger me it's always been this way and I just value that specific product more than others. And that is fine.

@GeminiX53 Another piece of advice is when you have a debate or any conversation really is to not tell people what they are feeling. People that try to tell others how they are feeling on a subject tend to just interject rhetoric and try to force how they want people to feel onto them.

@GeminiX53 my advice to you would be to work on your delivery. It's hard for people to have a conversation with somebody that comes out of the gate calling people entitled. And remember renting the biggest and newest games has always been an option and a popular one at that and gaming is still here and larger than it ever has been.

@Fiendish-Beaver The best part is it shows they ARE listening and acting. Which is what needs to be seen more for the Xbox brand to heal from all the negativity. It will not happen over night but I think Asha is on a great beginning path here.

@GeminiX53 Subscriptions are just a natural progression of renting. I used to rent games all the time and buy just like I sub to PC Game Pass and buy games from Steam now. It's just more convenient now. No need for the dramatics.

@Elbow Medium was pretty disappointing for me. I was pretty excited for it back when it first released and it was quite the slog, I did not even finish it. I would go Cronos next, its atmosphere, story and graphically a fantastic game. Has a bit of a Dead Space feel with their own flare.

Trepang2 is sooooooo damn good. If you are into FPSs give it a go. Small team but they did a great job with that game.

I would make games exclusive to Xbox and the Xbox PC Storefront. Just keep the first party games exclusive to their own platforms that way you are optimizing profits from those games. The Xbox brand is more than just the Xbox console, it is also in PC gaming. So with holding games from PC would be a big no-no.

@Elbow Have you tried Cronos? I also was not a fan of Bloober games until Silent Hill 2, it is fantastic. Cronos is really good as well. Happy gaming!

Make their games exclusive to Xbox and their PC storefront. Get rid of day 1 Gamepass releases. Go back to hard sales, if that doesn’t work than go full third party I guess. 🤷🏼‍♂️
