Ubisoft Is Seemingly Preparing 'The Division: Definitive Edition' Ahead Of 10-Year Anniversary

Last month, Ubisoft dropped a surprise 60FPS patch for 2016's The Division on PS5, with the game already being boosted to 60 frames per second on Xbox years ago thanks to FPS Boost. However, it's looking like the French game maker might have even more plans for its almost decade-old co-op shooter, and these plans could be relevant for Xbox fans.

As shared by our friends at Push Square, a leaked advert showing off 'The Division: Definitive Edition' has appeared online; from an attendee at some sort of Japanese gaming event hosted by Ubisoft. We'll share the tweet that shows this off down below:

As you can see, the ad doesn't give us any more details on what this Definitive Edition might entail, but it sure seems real. Is Ubisoft merely referring to this new PS5 patch as the 'definitive' way to play The Division? Does the team have a native current-gen version in the pipeline to follow up said patch? If so, you'd think that it would be on its way pretty soon.

As we mentioned up at the top, The Division is 10 years old in March 2026, so we'll be keeping an eye out for any news on its potential 'Definitive Edition' in the coming weeks.
