Re: Bethesda Says 'Players Are Going To Lose Their Minds' Over Starfield

GodofCapcom

@StonyKL I played 60 hours of Elden Ring (looking at how much there is left, I'm finishing it around the 70 hours mark).

I think Sekiro is better gameplay wise. All ER has new are the mounts and summons which I use frequently. Other than that, it's a new selection of weapons with mostly old ones. It had that fps issue. The graphics aren't impressive and the game recycles enemies, maps a bit much (and recycles enemies from DS). The story is simple, but it's better than the other souls games.

It's an A game. Not an A+.
I think it's slightly better than Horizon 2, but I think Horizon has the cinematic goty template so anything can happen.

I think if Starfield, Hogwarts, or God of War end up with around a 95, it's over for ER. Score doesn't matter much. I've seen games with high scores get snubbed constantly. I know what they'll choose.

Re: Here's How PlayStation's New Services Compare To Xbox Game Pass

GodofCapcom

Being stubborn for day 1 releases?

This Ben guy has had recently the worst takes if I'm being honest.
From GaaS to Harry Potter to this? I hope I am allowed to say that.

Why do xbox gamers want ps plus game pass more than playstation gamers? It's funny to me.

We want traditional gaming. If the service sucks, carry on consuming gaming how it was consumed from ps1-ps4. Nothing wrong with that.

I want Starfield to compete for goty. Not compete for gamepass subs. If that makes sense. So no day 1 is perfect. I wouldn't buy either services. If the games drop in quality, I won't pay for the game. Simple. I won't pay for a service to justify its mediocrity. I'll just expect third party to carry gaming (and half of them don't even produce quality).

Re: Xbox Reportedly Paid '$5-10 Million' For Guardians Of The Galaxy On Game Pass

GodofCapcom

@Bleachedsmiles Exactly. I didn't say you said it was wrong, lol.
Nope. Stop assuming stuff. It was a normal question. Many people think there's always a cocky intention.

You get my point of the 1TB. Stop being technical hehe.

Those casual gamers actually care having the advantage. Don't they play battle royale and want to win? They don't want to be held up. Again. Don't compare movies and gaming because of the interactivity. The interactivity part changes things a lot. It's why some of us prefer games over movies and why it's harder to make games over movies. It's why spend more time on a particular game vs a movie. It's why we pay $70 for a game but not for a movie.

Wasting 20 hours to unlock a character in a game. Example: Siege, and that one costs $60. Imagine if it was "free". It would be 100 hours. I don't enjoy that type of gaming.

Nope. Depends on the money they will make. Like I said above. 20 to 100 hours is a huge difference. It's a made up number but you get the point. Day 1? Only Forza. Simulators that uses most of the assets aren't good examples of high budget games. When you look at gears it did happen from 4 to 5. We'll see, by november 2023 I will have a conclusion.

Re: Jim Ryan Argues Xbox Game Pass Model Would Lead To Weaker PlayStation Games

GodofCapcom

@Royalblues Exactly. At the end of 2023, there should be enough games released and gameplay shown for their upcoming games. By november 2023 I think I can be sure who kept their promise.

To be fair. Phil never makes emphasis on lets make our own games the best they can be. True next gen or something similar that says we're in it to win it.

It's mostly gamepass talk, creators and making games accessible. It just doesn't scream confidence.

I want to hear "fable, hellblade, avowed will be THE games that will be the top of the food chain when it comes to next generation games". I mean look at the AAAA studio that needs help from another studio. It's fine if they take their time, but I want to hear "Starfield will be the biggest Single Player we have released by a milestone".

You get my point lol.

Re: Jim Ryan Argues Xbox Game Pass Model Would Lead To Weaker PlayStation Games

GodofCapcom

@Krzzystuff They already reverted the patch and gave everyone 1 million credits (that's enough for a very high end car).

What turns? PS1-PS2, PS4-PS5 have been great.

Even PS3 in the end had a better variety of games, even though they lost money during that gen.

and I only consider xbox one being the bad gen from xbox. Xbox series is doing better (because of spending power basically).

Re: Xbox Reportedly Paid '$5-10 Million' For Guardians Of The Galaxy On Game Pass

GodofCapcom

@Bleachedsmiles Where did I say that you said it was wrong? lol.

Meh. I won't be gaming via streaming only. Never. You can kiss goodbye hundreds of millions of gamers that care about pin point actions. People who don't stream will always have the advantage. Always. Good for you if you want an inferior way to game.

Please don't put digital and streaming together. Completely separate things. Please don't put gaming and movies/tv together. We consume both things different and it still baffles me comments like yours.

What's so bad about downloads lol? If you have internet to stream, you have enough to download lots of games per day. Storage is fine. Anyone who needs more than 1 TB is lying to himself.

Well whatever dude. If you want to take it with absurd time sinks to get anything, go ahead. Enjoy THAT kind of gaming. Rather pay $70 upfront. I got a life and don't want to be a money whale to fully experience the game. Yes. Gt7 patch was horrible. It would be x10 worse if it was "free" on a service.

Re: Xbox Reportedly Paid '$5-10 Million' For Guardians Of The Galaxy On Game Pass

GodofCapcom

@Bleachedsmiles What was so wrong with buying games? It worked (except for some publishers that basically tried to scam like EA).

I want to be clear. It's mostly AAA day 1 games I have an issue with. Indies, double A and old AAA games are fine.

We didn't need services and you're not getting the big picture. It may look like a good deal (honeymoon phase), but once they don't reach their goal and can't sustain it, they'll nickle and dime you every day of the year for the AAA games that will cost $100m or more. They'll make grinding worse and prices higher. Give you less content. You'll take it because it's "free" or at no extra cost to play one extra game.

I don't give a damn about MS or Sony's money, but if somehow that affects the quality of the product, that's where I take interest.

We don't want mtx and less content in our games. That's it.

Re: Multiple Unannounced Ubisoft Games Revealed In Huge New Report

GodofCapcom

@Rural-Bandit Idk which is the worst publisher. Them or EA (since AB is not a thing anymore).

At least EA has games like It Takes Two and Knockout city, but Ubisoft just doesn't do anything original or aren't the best at open world games (since they make everything open world for the sake of it).

Sony, Bethesda and now Fromsoftware beat them in almost every category when it comes to that genre. Like how do you lose to Sucker Punch? You've been making AC forever? These guys do their first attempt and beat them

They're the chocolate bars that you can't eat no more because the taste diminishes after eating a bunch.

Re: Xbox Game Studios' Ghostwire Tokyo Is A Mixed Bag On PS5

GodofCapcom

@BAMozzy Starfield is not, since it's on Gamepass. Maybe for you it doesn't change, but I see others that don't care as much since it's "free". Hogwarts has more pressure to be better

In the end I disagree. I don't think Xbox games have to be as good as Sony's or third party publisher since they're basically "free". Look, I have friends on xbox and most think this way. Gamepass is probably the most used "gaming" word by xbox users at this point.

The review score will be the same, I just think people won't care if it's a 90, 80 or 70. They're getting it for "free".

Look, I see that you're not like that, but if the majority decide games should be lower in standard so they can get them on the service, then that's what they will decide. We have no control over the market. If this gen is the last good one, so be it I guess (including spartacus).

Re: Xbox Game Studios' Ghostwire Tokyo Is A Mixed Bag On PS5

GodofCapcom

@BAMozzy I'm answering because I want to respect the time you spent.

Um. Yeah, those $60 games were trash and now they need to make better ones next time. They can't just rely on Gamepass for their shortcomings.

I don't think people have the same standards for Gamepass games vs $60-70 games. That's not what I'm seeing from both push and pure sites and other discussion sites.

"What Game Pass does is enable gamers to play games they wouldn't of bought". I think this should never be the case. Make an enticing enough game for them to buy. It's better for the consumer at the end of the day.

"It still has to be 'good enough' to make people want to try it instead of spending their time in other games."
Not as much. Not even half (if you could measure it).

"If Hogwarts releases the same day as Starfield for example, I also don't have to decide which is best to buy Day 1"
But that's how it should be. It pushes quality. You may spend more, but you get a better product at the end of the day.

Re: Xbox Game Studios' Ghostwire Tokyo Is A Mixed Bag On PS5

GodofCapcom

@BAMozzy

I don't think you get why waiting for a sale and waiting a game to be on a service that you will pay regardless of how good that game is are different scenarios. One pushes the dev and the publisher, the other one barely does.

About the numbers. More incentive to nickel and dime players with MTX? Competing for my time doesn't push the quality. Look at GT7 and making the payouts less rewarding.

Competing for my time and money should be the norm.
I don't think is competing for your money. You're already subbed. It doesn't have to be better. You can download it, play a few minutes and decide to skip it. A lot of subs don't finish most of those "free" games and they're just as happy.

No offense, but you write a lot. My bad if I sound like an arse. In a bad mood.

Re: Xbox Game Studios' Ghostwire Tokyo Is A Mixed Bag On PS5

GodofCapcom

@BAMozzy I disagree. All I see is people are ok with the games they receive as long as they're "free".

People might be lowering the standards year per year basis.

It's better for the game not be bought then. That pushes them to not make an "it's just ok" game game.

Gamepass is an scapegoat/excuse card imo. Looking at the third party "AAA" offerings is telling.
Better to pick the topic again when Redfall, Forza Motorsport and Starfield releases this year.

Re: Gran Turismo 7 Drama Leads To 'Always-Online' Xbox And PlayStation Debate

GodofCapcom

@LtSarge Hundreds of GBs seems like a stretch, especially with SSD reducing file sizes and diminishing returns in graphics. GTA5 is still larger than most AAA games. If you have good internet for cloud gaming, your downloads won't take that long. Especially with pre-downloading.

You might be right... with multiplayer games, but single player gamers don't get finessed like multiplayer dude bros and I think this online-only future won't work for them.

Re: Bizarrely, Some People Think Hogwarts Legacy Might Affect Starfield

GodofCapcom

Oh god why are you quoting that cringe sad fangirl Andrea?

Fall is going to be tough again. Any game will have trouble in that period.

Forspoken, Starfield, Gotham Knights, Hogwarts, maybe Suicide Squad and Callisto Protocol could be around that time and that's not including annual games.

We might get a surprise Re4 remake too.
