Sony has exclusivity deals and purchases left and right, even buying EVO solidating the entire fighting genre after solidating the jrpg and action adventure genres, but when Xbox plays by the same rules they get whistled back by the ftc.

The persons at the ftc were probably able to grab a ps5 early and are now afraid they will have nothing to play.

Is this maybe also a reference to the ton of artwork about Animal Crossing x Doom which both came out on the same day?

@NEStalgia it’s true that Nintendo went more mainstream instead of being that weird kid in the corner playing with all bunch of smaller games.

One may like it and some maybe not so much. That’s true.

But after astral chain nintendo first published link’s awakening, luigi’s mansion, ring fit adventure, dragon quest xi s and pokemon sword and shield, before going into hiatus during the pandemic. It was a very strong ending in 2019. And I’m 100% not blaming them for anything not being released in 2020. Was a horrible year for everyone, and 2021 is still horrible in lots of places, even so in Japan.

So it all comes down to expectations.

Nintendo still has a lot of whacky releases though. I mean, Miitopia just released. And game garage builder will release in a week or so. Then there’s stuff such as good job, snipper clips and the stretchers which I all adore. Famicom detective club is also a weird one in a way considering it comes from a major publisher.

Nintendo is holding back a little bit on new big massive releases but there’s loads of experiences for 99% of the people having a switch.

Nintendo has not many development studios themselves, they always outsource a lot. Even Mario Party, the Mario Sports games and stuff such as Fire Emblem and Pokemon are 2nd party.

Also, sony earns way more from 3d party stuff than Nintendo. Look at what their fifa and cod revenue is. Especially from micro transactions.

I’ll get the Xbox series X when Flight Simulator launches! Will be my first Xbox, but with the backwards compatibility I won’t have to miss a thing! I’m especially excited to play the Fable series for the first time.

I also can’t wait to finally see the other side of the argument between Metroid Prime and Halo. I was 100% sure MP was the better game. Without ever playing Halo... Oh, stupid me...

That’s 12500 weeks when taking 40 hours per week. 250 employees that worked full time for a year, without more than two weeks off, just on backwards compatibility. That’s INSANE!

I’d say Xbox series X and PS5 both are a couple of years ahead for current average household setups. Most households do not have 4k. (2/3 in US) Series S is perfect. Especially for that pricepoint.

Isn’t this the case with almost all SE ‘exclusives’ currently?

Dragon Quest XI S was a switch exclusive for around a year. Now it’s on PS4 and soon on Game Pass. Same with FF7R, exclusive for a year. And Octopath Traveler, which came to PC after a year. As examples.

SE has a lot of those exclusives for a year, but no true exclusives anymore.

Can you imagine the massive potential install base all of a sudden for Game Pass? China, Asia, those territories? Without a box and tv, you’re still able to play triple A games wherever you go. Subscribers will increase, and with it, the games.

Microsoft is playing the long run. They know they have to invest now but will ultimately have the best service there is.

I really don’t know why having a subscription model doesn’t make sense. It’s a steady flow of income. It’s the dream of shareholders. Very reliable info.

They don’t want it because the price of the model would be higher than XBox’es price. And that would make m look bad. Maybe that’s it?

As I said on the other website, I have a ton of playstation gaming experience. And their games are turning stale very fast currently. I’m only playing my Playstation for the JRPG’s, eg Persona. The action 3d person shoulder games are all becoming similar imo.

Truly nothing groundbreaking on the PS5 announcement. Final fantasy 16, but also coming to pc. Bunch of games we already had seen. Almost all CGI stuff. One button press and the character does all kind of things for half a minute. No dates for any of the games.

Boring to be honest.

Yes, I am very disappointed. If I had the option to use Xcloud on my phone, getting myself into the Xbox ecosystem when series X/S launches is a no brainer.

Combine that with xcloud and the series s, and you have amazing value for your money. It’s not only about the box, it’s about the complete package. And I’m loving it! This will be my first xbox .

I’ll buy my XBox S together with this game.

This game and gamepass will be a very nice addition to my Switch library!
