@HonestHick we can agree that greedy companies are a massive problem.

The most greedy ones are American though.

And you have a president now who endorses the richest and greediest companies and billionaires. And he has to pay their tax cuts somehow: thus tariffs.

But i think you are not really objective. As someone who sees it happen from a distance, I think I am slightly more objective than you are. It’s just a shame to see what happened to the shining city on a hill idea. (Though america was already way off the last two decades).

@HonestHick ah yes, you are wearing clothes that are manufactured in the USA. U sure that’s the case? Not manufactured somewhere in a sweat shop, and sold in the US? And of course: two guns. Well, if that’s the way you count to five, fine. I’m sure you’d be able to count to ten if you include 5 more of your guns.

As I said, and as you’ve pointed out, all of this transfer to the US for semiconductor factories was happening before tariffs. Remember the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, Chips and Science Act (CSA) and the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA)? Most likely Trump will claim credit for those. Now there are tariffs. Tariffs that are being paid by consumers. For no reason.

Usa had fair trade, because most of the export income was via tech companies, which are not hurt by the tariffs. However, there are alternatives to those as well, and both Europe and Asia are chosing other companies now for, for instance cloud services. And the us had privileges in a lot of countries because of so called ‘soft power’, but all that goodwill is gone now in the whole world. Nobody looks up to the usa anymore. Maybe only mad-max wannabees.

Also, don’t post white house propaganda please. That’s absolutely not trustworthy information. But it cements my idea where yours are coming from. Ah well, as a non-American i will be fine.

@HonestHick wondering where you get your information from.

As if semi conductor factories are build and made operational overnight. If they’re being manufactured now that is absolutely not because of the tariffs but because of Biden’s policy that Trump is now clamoring credit for.

The tariff situation is nothing more than money grabbing to pay for tax cuts for the richest 1%. As is being done.

Also: ‘American products are better’, can you name 5 products that are made solely in the USA?

I don’t see a reason why people would buy into the PS5 closed infrastructure anymore, other than to keep the library they might have built over the years accessible.

Nintendo is more feature rich, xbox is way cheaper and more versatile (via adding xbox play anywhere on pc, mobile), and both will provide more gaming experiences in upcoming years.

Also, i think xbox is making a profit on their services, they don’t have to increase prices on their box.

It’s very new to me that there are so many xbox games in development that we have no idea which 4th studio/game they’ll show in a showcase about 1st party releases this year.

Could be Oblivion, Halo CE, Fable, Everwild, Avowed, the Outer Worlds 2, Clockwork Revolution, Replaced, or even Blade, Contraband, Perfect Dark….

Or 3d party. They promised us Hollow Knight Silksong on gamepass day one years ago.

Microsoft Gaming / Xbox has finally entered wild times so it seems.

@Sol4ris fully agreed

@ryu_niiyama Yes, indeed. I also applaud Nintendo’s philosophy. They are masters at crafting intense games that still look amazing with just bitesized specced hardware (Zelda, Mario, Mario Kart, Luigi’s Mansion, Metroid Prime, Xenoblade chronicles 3). Switch only has 4 GB Ram total. Can’t wait for a little more beefier Nintendo console though. Especially to get rid of the 3d party discussion all the time: ‘but how does it run.’

But yeah, Iwata predicted the current better hardware / lesser software cycle in 2002, hope his spirit will linger on next console generation: https://www.neogaf.com/threads/iwata-predicted-the-current-state-of-xbox-and-playstation%E2%80%A6.1671003/

@Titntin well, you can’t keep on postponing, the developer also needs money.

So I don’t agree with you, I think the game released in this state because of the war and the toll it took, and therefore should be viewed as such when reviewing. (Or as I suggested, don’t give it a number but give that number later on - there’s no way you can compare this development process with other development processes).

But that’s my opinion, of course.

@pjoreilly Imo: you could have chosen to not rate the game considering the horrible times the developers have gone through, even losing colleagues to the war.

Now the number will go into metacritic and it will affect sales forever. Even if the devs fix every issue you have with the game.

Therefore, this rating just feels too brutal to me.
