@Deshalu because, you know, playstation exclusives and koyima games have to be nominated at virtually every category. Because geoff. And then the rest of the room gets filled with the rest of the nominees.
@TheFatPlumber because EA is (was) also an American company which only works for its profit margins and shareholders. Like almost all larger American companies.
1000x resist has been released elsewhere, right? The add says ‘play it day one on xbox’, so do late releases also count towards the 75+ day one additions to gamepass ultimate?
@ElectricWizard you’re intrinsically paying for their drop into gamepass though. Same with ubisoft+ and EA play. Why does the pool of games have to be so large, such that the subscription fee has to be so high?
@Gabrie you’re probably right, let’s indeed wait for the comparisons. But most people dont do that comparison though. Xbox ally will remain very niche i think
@Gabrie moderate specs, but better performance because it has a very good setup. It has a lot better performance than all steam deck versions according to digital foundry.
And yes, the rog ally will require a lot of tinkering and only a handful of people are willing to do that. Most people are casuals. Which is why I’m craving a new Windows OS for handhelds for years…
My feeling says that the management shifted strategies so fast last and this gen that consumers never were able to settle this generation. Consumers usually make an informed decision when it comes to tech. Consumers were never able to.
@Kaloudz you know every (daily changing) law and right of every child and parent in every country of the world? And are able to create apps that help protect kids against the online world and implement solutions for parents and kids to streamline the experience everywhere?
Please step down earlier. That whole management team has been a disaster this gen....
I had so much faith at the start of this gen, defended the actiblizz merger a lot on pushsquare even (wouldn't recommend doing that to anybody, lol) but how this management has turned stuff into the ground in the last few years because of not being able to stand up against Satya Nadella and tell the shareholders to calm the F down, resulting in complete loss of direction, is beyond me.
Well, i've apparently bought my last xbox. I can't take this team green management and their loss of direction and sense anymore. I've also stepped away from Playstation this gen because of their CFO stating that he's addicted to growth.
What a ***** show this gen has been.... poor developers, run by the greediest managements and shareholders there are. A lot is not enough, it needs to be MORE!
Thankfully there's Nintendo (at least for now) who seems properly run, and finally with a system that can play current gen games.
Yes, Microsoft Gaming’s messaging has been a mess. That has lost them this generation too, after Xbox Ones mess, while they could have easily dwarfed Sony following the actiblizz merger.
They chose to not do that because of quick money instead of a long haul and now everythings an xbox, everyones confused and everyones just choosing the option that just works out of the box: switch 2 or playstation. No fuzz, a working gaming system with just clear proper messaging.
If there’s a team that needs updating at Microsoft Gaming, it’s both the management and pr teams.
Strategy wise, it is a mess at Microsoft Gaming and it will continue to be so for the next few years. Every year there’s a new strategy being followed by the higher ups.
It doesn’t seem to be a good idea to invest in the xbox ecosystem anymore imho. Just gamepass (sometimes).
I’m angry that 1.2 million other players get to play this great racer, while simultaneously paying for the development of the next installment that I get to play on my Xbox 😡
@HonestHick we can agree that greedy companies are a massive problem.
The most greedy ones are American though.
And you have a president now who endorses the richest and greediest companies and billionaires. And he has to pay their tax cuts somehow: thus tariffs.
But i think you are not really objective. As someone who sees it happen from a distance, I think I am slightly more objective than you are. It’s just a shame to see what happened to the shining city on a hill idea. (Though america was already way off the last two decades).
@HonestHick ah yes, you are wearing clothes that are manufactured in the USA. U sure that’s the case? Not manufactured somewhere in a sweat shop, and sold in the US? And of course: two guns. Well, if that’s the way you count to five, fine. I’m sure you’d be able to count to ten if you include 5 more of your guns.
As I said, and as you’ve pointed out, all of this transfer to the US for semiconductor factories was happening before tariffs. Remember the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, Chips and Science Act (CSA) and the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA)? Most likely Trump will claim credit for those. Now there are tariffs. Tariffs that are being paid by consumers. For no reason.
Usa had fair trade, because most of the export income was via tech companies, which are not hurt by the tariffs. However, there are alternatives to those as well, and both Europe and Asia are chosing other companies now for, for instance cloud services. And the us had privileges in a lot of countries because of so called ‘soft power’, but all that goodwill is gone now in the whole world. Nobody looks up to the usa anymore. Maybe only mad-max wannabees.
Also, don’t post white house propaganda please. That’s absolutely not trustworthy information. But it cements my idea where yours are coming from. Ah well, as a non-American i will be fine.
@HonestHick wondering where you get your information from.
As if semi conductor factories are build and made operational overnight. If they’re being manufactured now that is absolutely not because of the tariffs but because of Biden’s policy that Trump is now clamoring credit for.

Play it day 9000+ with game pass!

@Deformedpye it was on the switch already, though.
Anyway, good to know Microsoft interprets it pretty broadly.

No comparisons to the switch 2? Pity. Curious how it performs to that machine.

Re: Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Will Now Get 75+ Day One Titles Per Year, A '50% Increase' On Before
Why would anyone want to play 75 games on day one? That’s 1/5 of a year. Nobody has that time to play that many games…

Yeah, dead on arrival.

@Wizzle8899 handheld that can easily play ps4 games? How’s that not next gen?

@Kaloudz you’re surely confusing me a little with that extra comment 😉

@Nintendo4Sonic they just want extra revenue. Releasing it on Playstation creates that extra revenue.

From 34 million last year to an expected 50 million this year.
Re: Sony Has Approached Subscriptions 'Healthier' Than Xbox, Says Former PlayStation Boss
I think game pass will be the healthier option over time, also business wise. It’s still growing unlike the playstation subscription service.
And it’s thé subscription to take if you’re playing games on pc, and in time, on phone as well,
