Poll: How Many Hours Of Xbox Cloud Gaming Do You Use Per-Month?

I tried it again earlier this year and it's still pretty unreliable to be a long term gaming solution. At most I use it as a demo service before downloading something that would interest me but I general I barely touch it

30 minutes in the last 4 years and I'm being generous.

Interesting how many people were calling Cloud gaming such an advantage and benefit over last couple of years.. for the actual usage numbers to literally obliterate that assumption and prove it to be just marketing hype and a curious oddity.

I haven’t it used it since I cancelled my GPU when it jumped in price. Most of the games I want to play I buy anyways so continuing to pay for GPU made little sense to me. I’d only use cloud gaming to play the games I owned when I was in an area I couldn’t remote play reliably but cloud would work fine.

To be honest I rarely used cloud even when I was paying for GPU.

Between Play Anywhere and having a Steam deck for remote playing, I just couldn’t see a personal reason for it.

Use it a lot and it has improved greatly over time.. No real issues to speak of now. Has been great when traveling and no lag issues. Always wonder why people have so much issue, have used it on a number of devices and been fine. If there's one criticism, it's not using touchscreen enough for SIM type games, but that's a developer issue

Depends on the month but there is no way I will ever pay for more hours. (I would sooner get GeForce Now or Luna).

I don’t like that GoG games bought specifically for Luna (And through Amazon in the first place) no longer work.

As far as I know I can play Play Anywhere stuff on GeForce Now.

I used it for almost 100 hours these past couple of months. as a essential tier member I'm getting screwed over.

I think this is all about user demographics.

The reality is that 95% of people that game are not playing games 5+ hours per week. The probable average person that plays games is more like 3-5 hours per week. Also, the 3-5 hour per week users are likely to just say, "oh well" when they use up their monthly time.

The people that are above 3-5 hours per week are more hard core gamers (that are more likely to visit this site and prefer console/PC over streaming).

Personally, for me cloud gaming is still niche, I use it when I am up town waiting around lineups or gaps between meeting up with friends and sometimes and don't have access to my ROG Ally X, Console, or PC. But I expect that as part of next generation they improve cloud gaming more and that it starts to move more mainstream. Think about it, if I only play less then 5 hours a week it is hard to justify the probable $800-1,000 USD spend on a console or gaming PC. So I may choose cloud gaming for those few hours per week.

I game about 5 hours per week. But I am fortunate that I have a enough dissposable income that I can afford the premium experience and have a ROG Ally X, multiple Series X, and multiple PCs so cloud gaming will be niche for me for the forseeable future. But I can totally understand people with less disposable income using cloud gaming as their primary platform.

As I am currently not subscribed to Gamepass I don't play any hours but even if I did I would only use it to quickly try a game before downloading it if I wanted to play it more. Even on Playstation I have only ever streamed a small handful of PS3 games on that service simply because it was an easy and quick way to play the game and I didn't have it on that console natively. It has been years such I have even done that too.

Really not a fan of the latency issues and even with a 1000mbs connection and not doing any other tasks that involve that connection I would still get instances where the image would stop updating for a moment and become pixelated that was mainly on the Xbox side of things that Playstation though.

I'm very adverse to any form of input lag, and I've yet to experience any cloud gaming experience that was even remotely acceptable for me, despite having fiber internet. It just isn't ready yet IMO.

I don't have Xbox. I play gamepass games by streaming them on my Steam Deck. It goes without saying that I won't renew my subscription when it runs out in February.
