Re: Xbox Boss 'Trusts' Nintendo & PlayStation, More Concerned About 'Other Tech Competitors'

DevinRex

Summary: Microsoft sees PlayStation and Nintendo as children in the playground of video games. Hardly a threat. They know that neither have the resources to cause any lasting damage in the industry.

Their more concerned with the flounderings of companies like Facebook, Google and Amazon. All three of which have proven to be completely out of touch with the market. Bonus mention is Tencent which may also be considered a threat.

Re: Nobody Saves The World Extended Gameplay Revealed, Coming To Xbox Game Pass

DevinRex

@UltimateOtaku91 I see, but I mean... I don't really see that as a bad thing.

I get to play AAA games for free under my subscription, and if I want to play them earlier, or if it doesn't come to GP, I buy the game at launch.

In addition, for smaller devs, they get more exposure, and GP members get to play more games that they otherwise wouldn't.. Both sides benefit. Don't see much of a problem with that.

Re: Xbox Made Progress In Japan Last Year, Despite Being Heavily Outsold By PS5

DevinRex

Despite the lower numbers compared to the competition, Xbox deserves credit for doing better in one year than the previous gen Xbox did in it's entire lifetime. Gamepass is an amazing deal for gamers and Japan looks to respect that. I'm sure a this point those sales will only grow. This doesn't include how many people play Gamepass on PC and mobile as well. Overall good news for Team Xbox, I'm looking forward to seeing what amazing games come out this year for the green team.

Re: Some Forza Fans Say They're Getting 'Bored' With Horizon 5 Already

DevinRex

It's a racing game. If you get bored of it, play something else.

I don't understand the kids who are so bent on "the need to beat the game as soon as possible". Forza was never designed that way. You race a little bit, play another game, them come back to it. It's always been that laid back road trip game I always go back to. There's no "end goal". You unlock cars and drive em. If you need more depth in your game, or a "sense of progression", pick up an RPG.

Re: Xbox Marketing Lead: We'll Share Series X Price When We're Ready

DevinRex

Fanboys: "Come on Xbox release the price! Don't wait on Sony!!"
Also fanboys: "If it's more expensive than PS5 it's DOA!"

They're waiting on Sony to release their price first, so they can undercut. It's a genius marketing strategy, and scolding them for it because people are impatient isn't going to make them move faster.

Be patient... If you can wait an entire year for the next-gen consoles, you can wait 60 more days for the price reveals.

Re: Talking Point: Should The Xbox One Version Of Halo Infinite Be Scrapped?

DevinRex

People can whine about the Xbox One version all they want. The fact is, they already made the Xbox One version and its not being removed any time soon, so people will have to accept it.

That being said, there is always the possibility that they can have the two versions, but over time keep adding next-gen updates to the Series X version. RTX on the XSX version is a good example. The better framerate and resolution of textures is also worth it for me to get the best version on Series X. This is apparently a 10 year project as well, so after release I predict this will still be one of the greatest games ever released, in spite of all the backlash.

Can't wait to grab this and play it at launch.
