Poll: What Do You Think Of Metaphor: ReFantazio On Xbox Game Pass?

If my favourite JRPG was Lost Odyssey, would I enjoy this? The weird ones are a bit too out there for me, but Expedition 33 is thus far 😍

Played it before it came to Game Pass but it's a 9/10 for me.

I think I will always lament that it isn’t Persona 6 (really it’s the lack of romance options that I miss)

But that’s not the fairest way to think about game dev, and I’m sure I’ll play it eventually

Really want to play this, and will definitely give it a good go. Just a bit put off by the mammoth runtime. A 100 hour game will potentially take me months to get through.

Not tried it yet debating whether to play as the time limits on persona put me off that m think this is same 😥

This one is a lot more forgiving. I managed to do everything without any guide.

I’m looking forward to start playing this (but also dreading it in a way because it’s another gargantuan undertaking at 100h+,😀) And I’m still not fully finished with Expedition 33, finally got the flying ability and even more of the map seem to have opened up. So I don’t know when I’ll get to ReFantazio.

I wasn't excited about any Persona game, but I loved all the Persona titles available on Xbox. I didn't mind them being long, as opposed to other RPGs like Bravely Default and the first Xenoblade Chronicles. Metaphor: ReFantazio is next, and you'll get your Persona 6 very soon @ScalenePowers 😊

I’d played this game before the gamepass release and it was so damn good. Tool everything good about a turn based RPG and made it better.

The art style is beautifully executed, the story is strong, the characters are excellent, and the gameplay is just flat out fun. Spent 160 hours in the game and enjoyed every minute. Excellent title and it was well worth my money. Hope everyone enjoys it on GP.

I've just started playing it absolutely love it, I feel like my time will be invested for a while just like when Persona 5 came to game pass.

It's not my jam. I gave it a few hours but wasn't willing to commit anymore with all the other stuff waiting to be played. I probably shouldn't give a score with the 3ish hours I put into it but I gave it a 6.

I bought this last year despite not being a fan of persona games.

Its an ok title, but still a little be too strange for me. Hard to put a finger on it, but it just doesnt click for me. Ive put about 25 hours in, just kinda got bored.

I haven't finished the prologue yet (the guide I'm using still refers to it as the prologue), but that's alright—I'm just getting used to the game. So far, I would rate it a 7. I just had the red-haired woman join my party, and I’m sure that in about a week, it will improve to a 10. One thing I've noticed about JRPGs or RPGs is that they’re not always a perfect 10 right from the start. it takes a little to get used to everything

I played it last year. I give it an easy 10, and it's my 3rd favorite JRPG in the last 2 years. THAT'S how good of a stretch it's been for JRPGs. What a time.

@Lrapsody it isn't apparent at first, but when it's all said and done there are very similar themes in both games. They come at it from very different angles and you won't see it until it's all said and done, both games really reveal themselves at the very end.

I Will try it for sure but I am also put off by the number of hours it take to finish and I didn't like persona 5 , I liked the Dungeons and the combat but not the social school work parts.

@Jenkinss what are your other recent faves? For me, Clair obscur, chained echoes, and sea of stars. And metaphor!

I love the Persona series, but this one didn't click for me the same. The mechanics are all sound, but it doesn't have the same panache.

I already own it on PC but it's an incredible game. One of the best jrpgs out there. Great writing, pacing, and every else I want out of this type of game. Pure bliss 10/10 for me.

Hard to say, I'm just 2 hours into the game. But, it's looking interesting. The music is incredible.
