I just replayed Dungeon Siege 3 whenever I want a top down action game with loot. The ascent should be my new go to game for that genre but as good as it can be half of the game is backtracking and the loot is just annoying not exciting.
Anyone else sick of Peter Molyneux hating? He created the series everyone loves along with heaps of others and all he gets is hate. Same with the guy who created Ultima which was the first AAA rpg series as far as I can tell.
You got to respect his passion for his music to be heard at least. It would suck working so hard for such a big name only to have it stuffed in vault and never used and you know they are sitting on billions of dollars.
D2 wins just barely. D1 had a more adventure vibe to it and used the hub between missions better. D2 was so clever it was almost too clever at times, I would get a head ache examining every item in a room for loot or secrets. It was almost a little too detailed but still it was probably my fav.
I wish the remaster had put in the multiplayer that was supposed to be in the game. I gave it a good 10 hours years ago and everything was great except it was way too easy and no quest was ever more than go kill that thing. No decisions that I remember and it was just a giant pretty world with kick ass combat and no challenge. Felt like it could have been amazing
It's all a ploy. Phil Spencer acts like he's friends with all the competitors to gloss over the fact he is heading the least successful gaming company. Cory knows GOW is going to have way better visuals than Halo so it's a subtle reminder that his product is better in terms of production qualities. It's not random chit chat
I'm hoping for some Gothic news. If Gothic remake goes well then we get Gothic 2 remake and Gothic 2 is like the Resident Evil 4 of action role playing games.
I love the style of it but the description doesn't even mention combat, normally you'd see something like "visceral combat" or something cheesy like that. In the trailer you see some really simple shooting, you'd think if the combat is any good they'd reference it in the description. This looks like one of those walk around looking at things game and not run around blowing stuff up. I really hope it has some fun combat too
I got it on Wii U, it's pretty decent but the combat was weird to me. I was imagining it only takes a photo or 2 to kill a ghost before buying it but it takes 20+ shots and you have to line up fragments floating in the air which isn't scary it's goofy. I get the idea in that some ghosts are reenacting how they died so you need time to understand but most ghosts don't have unique stories to tell and you just shoot them over and over again with this weird 3 lens systems that's also dumb. Good game but really bad combat.
Hopefully they are actually games and not whatever the Medium was. I made it up to picking up a shoe and hearing the aura of the population of a city in a shoe. Funny thing was 5 seconds prior I picked up a payphone and heard the aura of a someone but it wasn't a giant crowd of people. How many people use a pay phone as apposed to how many different people wear a single shoe? I didn't have a damn clue what I was doing and the walking animation looked like it was from about 2005. Set camera angle so they don't have to design full worlds, stuff to fight or dodge so they don't have to program anything so voice acting and a gimmick of splitting the screen in 2 like a co op games I used to play 25 years ago was their game. What a waste
Looks like Astral Chain in terms of gameplay and little explorative narrative bits. I loved the combat of Astral Chain but found all the other stuff really bland and annoying. I hope this game has a final chapter like Astral Chain where it's like 5+ hours of just fighting.
@Cherip-the-Ripper I think it was because I did that giant open dungeon first which I think was meant to be the hardest and from then on it was all a bit too easy. I'm still tempted to get this DLC though.

I can't stand the original voice actor, I know that's an unpopular opinion but to me he sounds so goofy.
