Scorn has been relatively quiet so far in 2021. Last year it was treated to gameplay footage and other news, but in 2021 it seems to have dropped off the face of the earth. However, a recent Xbox Game Pass for PC montage shown at Gamescom Opening Night Live revealed it's still scheduled to arrive this year.
In a blink and you'll miss it moment, Scorn popped up for a couple of seconds with a Fall 2021 release window. This could just be a placeholder, but you'd think Xbox would have withdrawn its date entirely if Fall 2021 wasn't still the plan.
If Scorn does indeed arrive this year, we expect to hear more in the coming weeks as the release window is getting dangerously close. The 4K gameplay that launched last year had some promise, but little has been seen since. It's expected to be an Xbox Series X and Series S console exclusive coming to Game Pass, along with a PC release, so hopefully we hear more soon.
"Scorn is set in a nightmarish universe of odd forms and sombre tapestry. It is designed around the idea of "being thrown into the world". Isolated and lost inside this dream-like world, you will explore different interconnected regions in a non-linear fashion. Every location contains its own theme, puzzles and characters that are integral in creating a cohesive world."
Are you hoping Scorn arrives this year? Let us know in the comments below.

Hmmm….doesn’t seem to be too much going on in the shown footage.
Maybe a bit dark and grim for me too
Time will tell
@Hurblyburbly I love that HR Giger aesthetics, though.
If it is still coming then October makes sense as there isn't really a big game pass game for that month bar B4B but that has a very different appeal and audience.
I'm still very happy this is coming at some point. I remember the Devs stating a few years back they weren't interested in console versions, so this coming to Xbox is a real steal! If the game is half as good as the art design implies it'll still be a corker.
I'll be waiting patiently. Really looking forward to this one.
@John117 I can understand that line of thinking for sure. Was thinking more it being a horror title and there being not much else in October to my knowledge.
I love the style of it but the description doesn't even mention combat, normally you'd see something like "visceral combat" or something cheesy like that. In the trailer you see some really simple shooting, you'd think if the combat is any good they'd reference it in the description. This looks like one of those walk around looking at things game and not run around blowing stuff up. I really hope it has some fun combat too
This is the only reason I bought a Series X. Really bummed it isn’t out yet. Appreciate the article. A guy on you tube made a video about its absence as well. Gotta go eat I’m hungry. Bye!
