THQ Nordic has announced a digital showcase on September 17 at 12pm PT / 3pm ET / 8pm BST / 9pm CET. It's set to celebrate the company's 10th anniversary and will be bringing six new game reveals, including "the return of legendary franchises and sequels to beloved games".
Along with the new titles, THQ Nordic has confirmed that ELEX II, the sequel to the cult classic RPG, will also be in attendance. As for the other games, we're not sure yet. The announcement ends with the words "we hope you are ready, kids", which gives us hope a new SpongeBob SquarePants game may be returning. Probably just wishful thinking...
Many will most likely be hoping to hear more about the new TimeSplitters coming from developer Free Radical. While we'd certainly like to see it, we're not holding our breath. What seems more likely is the long rumoured Destroy All Humans! 2 remake finally making an appearance. Either way, we won't have to wait too long to find out more.
Will you be tuning into the THQ Nordic showcase? Let us know in the comments below.

I'm guessing we'll see what happens. They've already ruined Saints Row by making it a generic GTA clone.
Still hoping for a carmageddon
@Originut I do. And you'd think by the first one being so bad they wouldn't go back to it. Hell, SR1 was so bad I almost didn't even buy 2. Glad I did though
A proper sequel to homefront? New red faction? A sequel to warhammer 40k space marine?
I would love to see Timesplitters already (seems too soon for me, but I could also see them just ripping out the TS2 HD version from Homefront and releasing that as a standalone for $20 or something), as well as something with Alone in the Dark since they acquired that IP. That series could use a new, good entry. Between footage of Darkworks' cancelled AITD remake, and indie games like Song of Horror that FEEL like an Alone in the Dark game, I think there's totally something they could do with that IP... regardless of the damage Atari inflicted on the series.
I wouldn't mind seeing them return to one of their old racing IP. Maybe JUICED. I mean, back then, it was clearly a NFS Underground copycat, but now? It's not like there are other games doing that, so I think a lot of people would appreciate a good Underground-style racer. Contract one of those underrated European AA racing studios like Milestone, Kylotonn, Bugbear or Slightly Mad and they'd probably end up making something cool. A Splashdown revival could also be really cool, or even an HD remaster of Rides Gone Wild. That game rules; I have played it recently, that is not just nostalgia talking. They should do something with that IP.
For some reason, I also keep feeling like THQN will swoop in to publish that AEW game. I know its self-funded by the company, so AEW can do whatever they want.... but THQ Nordic LOVES bringing back old successful franchises, and while they can't get the WWE license right now, nothing's stopping them from calling a game, "No Mercy." It feels like they'd totally put out an "AEW: No Mercy" and consider that the return of a legendary franchise on a technicality But this is just me thinking out loud.
Red faction maybe? Hopefully destroyable buildings.
@Vinsanity Yes! Alone in the Dark is my favorite horror franchise! Timesplitters is one of my favorite FPS (along with Goldeneye and Perfect Dark)! Either one would be a day one purchase for me.
I'm hoping for some Gothic news. If Gothic remake goes well then we get Gothic 2 remake and Gothic 2 is like the Resident Evil 4 of action role playing games.
