It isn't guaranteed to be 6-month though. Ff16 has the same 6-month exclusivity window but it only released on Xbox 2 years later, FF7 remake has 1-year exclusivity window but only released 6 years later on Xbox. Forspoken has 2-year exclusivity but never coming to Xbox

Hopefully the strong performance of Helldivers 2 is not going to be a one-off game from Sony, it could open the doors for more games in the future. Marathon is one of them in March

Xbox doesn't need to launch next gen as soon as possible. At the moment, they need to produce Xbox Series as much as they can and extend Xbox Series production until 2030. And Xbox consoles need to expand to new regions too. Xbox can't grow if stuck only sold at 41 countries. PC Game Pass already supported on 86 countries. Xbox consoles need to reach at least 70 countries

If Limited Run Games keep disrespecting Xbox communities, I will vote with my wallet by skipping buying all their games starting from today!!

Yes, it's a bit vague but 32-33 million is the minimum, both Omdia & IDG Xbox sales number can be trusted. But we know PS5 sell-in = 75 million (Sony data)

I think many Xbox One players still active >20 million they haven't upgraded yet. They are either skipping Xbox Series or migrate to PC or just use Xbox Cloud instead. Xbox Game Pass is available anywhere now: Xbox Series, Xbox One, PCs (via Xbox app), Smart TVs (Xbox Cloud), Smartphones & Tablets (Xbox Cloud), Browsers, Handheld PCs.

If Xbox One players are already inactive publishers wouldn't bother to support Xbox One with new games till 2027

Terrible sales, but important to remember Vgchartz isn't reliable. In Xbox One era they undertracked Xbox One sales by around 2-3 million and then when Microsoft announced that Xbox One sold >58 million lifetime, they quickly adjust it but they platform total sales still show >57.96 million. Daniel Ahmad, an analyst also undertracked Xbox One sold by >2 million. Safe to assume Xbox Series already surpassed 35 million now. The actual sales could be 36-37 million. However personally I don't believe John Welfare, because I think he over tracked Xbox Series sales, he said around 37.7 million Xbox Series sold by September 2025.

Xbox isn't a direct competitor too, Xbox porting their games to PS5. While Sony already testing games like allowing Death Stranding for Xbox, they also publish Helldivers 2 & Marathon on Xbox

@Sindayl @RentedPanda no it's not switch, it's Xbox, I'm fine if you are disbelieving what will happen in the future. Porting to switch 2 is very expensive, need to be heavily downgraded; uncertain audiences & will instantly kill PS5/PS6 if they do that because switch 2 is hybrid handheld.
Xbox port only cost them $200-400k per games (already have PC builds ready); nixxes will do it. Easy money printer because only need 10-20k sales to break even; Xbox already gave them many games why wouldn't Sony do the same? Xbox players still loyal to Xbox, what you see is mostly angry fanboys on Twitter/x. True Xbox gamers stay loyal to Xbox ecosystem because they already build Library of hundreds maybe thousands of games. And now Xbox is very pro consumer with Xbox play anywhere purchase, you buy 1 get 3 license: Xbox, PC (+handheld PC optimization), Xbox Cloud. Why wouldn't true Xbox gamers stay loyal?

Even Nioh still can't be ported to Xbox for 9 years. Detroit Become Human, Heavy Rain, Beyond Two Souls also never land on Xbox while Sony publishing deal already expired and Quantic Dream published those games themselves on PC, but never Xbox because the console exclusivity deal likely forever.
Even Lego Horizon, Freedom Wars Remastered, Patapon Replay, Everybody Golf Hotshot come to Switch but never Xbox.

This update is good, I can buy games officially in my local currency now from my phone. I mostly buy from another region in consoles (my country is not supported), however I'm aware of play anywhere titles that I can buy from PC in my local currency either from Xbox PC app or website

@Fiendish-Beaver only <1 million will buy Xbox if at that price. I don't think Microsoft will only sell 1 sku, I think there will be series s like version maybe at $600-$700. Maybe with lesser RAM let's say 32GB. We still don't know if Microsoft will use a single unified GDDR7 VRAM, that would be too expensive. I think they will use 16GB GDDR7 for the cheaper Xbox with 16GB LPDDR5X or maybe only use 8 core cpu. The expensive version probably 20GB GDDR7 with 24GB LPDDR5X with the rumored 11 core cpu.

Probably Silent Hill 2 + DLC shadow drop. Would love to if Koei Tecmo finally port Nioh Collection, Atelier Ryza Trilogy & other missing Atelier games for Xbox. Square-Enix probably shadow dropping Tactics Ogre Reborn, Valkyrie Elysium, Live A Live, Star Ocean 1+2 R, and any other missing Saga games. While it probably will never happened but I wish Earth Defense Force 6, Ys series and The Legend of Heroes series finally appeared on Xbox consoles and be shown on that partner showcase... Maybe PlayStation Publishing will port any of their old first party games for Xbox maybe Days Gone, Uncharted collection or anything they want, they need to do it so that Xbox can stay relevant as gaming console because Xbox already giving everything to PS5 but so far only Helldivers 2, MLB the show, and death Stranding given to xbox. Xbox even promise that more of their games will be on PS5, it would be bad for Xbox consoles health if Sony not doing the same.

I think Xbox would still exist if people still buying xbox consoles, but lately many Xbox One players refused to upgrade to Xbox Series consoles; Xbox Series sales already reached their peak sales for now. I think Xbox consoles will still exist in the next 10 years, but after that I don't know. Xbox losing 4-5 generations in a row probably will make Microsoft "give up"
