It's always great to see brand-new releases being included as part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program, but it's even more exciting when older titles suddenly join it as well, especially when they're major AAA favourites.
That's exactly what's happened today, with both Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater and Mortal Kombat 1 both becoming part of Xbox Play Anywhere, meaning if you buy them on console, you get a free version via the Xbox PC app.
You'll now see the Xbox Play Anywhere tag on both of these titles' game pages on the Xbox Store:

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is perhaps the most enticing of the two considering it only released back in August of this year, whereas Mortal Kombat 1 is a little older and is also joining Xbox Game Pass on December 10th.
Hopefully we'll continue to see more classic AAA games getting added to Xbox Play Anywhere as time goes on, with Hogwarts Legacy also getting the treatment not so long ago. We're hoping for plenty of exciting additions in 2026!
