@pip_muzz yeah me too, tbh looking at the games that are coming the rest of this year there really isn't much to be excited about apart from cyberpunk so I hope it's as amazing as it looks, there is a new watch dogs and assassins creed but they don't really offer anything new and gameplay is recycled from previous games, Sony have nothing apart from spiderman morales which I don't think is a full game and xbox have lost halo for this year and Nintendo have announced nothing for this holiday season, and then there's the avengers game which the beta dissapointed me. So yeah everything is resting on cyberpunk coming this year for me.
Unless by some miracle sony announce the new horizon zero dawn game as a launch title
@pip_muzz I never said sonys games were 10/10 heck I didnt even enjoy the last of us 2, plus flight simulator isn't even on console yet and pc games aren't usually up for the running. If cyberpunk does release this year then it's between that and animal crossing for the official game of the year award.
@pip_muzz really can't see this being game of the year, if anything cyberpunk, ghost of tushima and TLOU2 have a better chance as this game is more niche, infa t what am I talking about there's only one game that's going to win game of the year and that's animal crossing..... Unfortunately
Looks really good way better that the avengers game, who knows Microsoft might get revenge and get their own exclusive character for this, along as it ain't wonder woman
@BlueOcean third party games sell 3-1 on playstation vs xbox so how are they successful outside of Japan? Ps4 has 109 million sales compared to xbox ones 41 million that's a 68 million difference!!
In Europe alone the ps4 has sold 257 million games compared to xbox ones 81 million so once again you call that successful?
With these kinds of figures sony doesn't need its own version of gamepass as it's generated so much money more than a subscription service could ever bring them.
If gamepass was just on the Xbox console then it would of been a failure but is saved by the fact its also on pc which is probably generating most of its user base at the moment. And now it's coming to android which xbox desperately needed to up its user base and will most likely include android users in its stats going forward to hide the poor xbox series X sales
As a console Microsoft and the xbox brand are close to dying and will soon be like stadia and purely a streaming/subscription service which isn't entirely a bad thing, while Sony and Nintendo run the console market
@mousieone I can see where you are coming from but those xbox games you mentioined aren't physical sellers, they are doing well in terms of number of people who have downloaded them via gamepass but that's not the same as selling in retail for £30-£40 a game which sonys games do very well so surely that would be more profitable for sonys first party developers than via being on subscription day one?
The only Minecraft thats dominated the charts this year has been the Nintendo switch edition.
Also every ps4 game on playstation now can be downloaded
Playstation now combines both gamepass and Xcloud on one service and has been doing so since 2014 way before xbox considered doing a gamepass subscription. Ps now has slowly been getting better and includes over 800 games which is more than gamepass has to offer and has better 3rd party games, and offers its first party games for 3 months every now and then, which xbox add their 1st party games straight away due the low physical sales figures this makes sense compared the the figures sonys first party games generate so it makes no sense for sony to include them on playstation now day one as the developers would lose out on money.
Thses are some of the games they have added recently
And its gotten a lot better since it first launched and is more stable than it was before, all sony needs now is to come to mobile which I'm sure it will in 2021
@Justifier ok my bad, so the Xcloud streams the games that are in the game pass? If so then playstation now is both Xcloud and gamepass combined, xbox should just call them both under one name
@armondo36 personally I think gamepass/ps now is a great idea for those who dont own a console and stream games on their pc or mobile but I also think it's taking away the reason to buy a console and is slowly building towards a no console and digital future which I think some people are against
@Justifier how is game pass not a streaming service? You stream the games over the Internet, but both gamepass and playstation now allow you to download the games to the console aswell, so what's makes game pass different? Dont get me wrong gamepass is better as it's more stable and available on android now and has first party games day one, but other than that it's the same as playstation now
People seem to forget playstation now launched 3 years before gamepass, yes xbox took that idea and made it better. But now if sony took some of Microsofts ideas and made playstation now better then we wouldn't hear the end of how playstation copied xbox lol
Can see xbox fans review bombing this for the spiderman situation, I'd say atleast try the beta before bashing the game especially for its gameplay and not the spiderman situation (even if it is a ***** move)
Let's just forget spiderman is playstation exclusive for a minute, played the beta last weekend and it's nothing special anyway but to bash the game because of one missing character is a bit OTT....
@S1ayeR74 I don't think the big third party titles would come to game pass or playstation now straight away as they would be losing out on so much money especially as those big third party games usually sell 8+ million copies
@Jacko11 wouldn't waste your breath on him biggest xbox fan boy on this site, ps now has got better since then but tbh the big games only last 3 months (not 20 days like some idiots like to think) so your kinda rushed to complete them. I think they need to add first party games permanently and bring it out on android/ios for it to compete with game pass
Wow no support for next gen exclusives and no disk drive and poor amount of terra flops. This is basically an upgrade xbox one x which I can't see being successful and most people will buy it from shops not fully knowing this information.
If either console launches with that price then it's dead on arrival I'm afraid, the console plus extra controller and 2-3 games would cost me over £600 right before Christmas and then I have to get presents for everyone aswell lol
Bought game pass ultimate for a £1 today to try on my huawei p30 pro using a dualshock 4 and it was pretty good, played re-core which was good then played 3 hours of state of decay 2 which got me hooked, then tried grounded which I'm my opinion wasn't very good and seemed low budget compared to the others.
Then I tried connecting my phone to the TV using the hauwei desktop feature which is the same as Samsung dex and tried using the game pass that way and it worked but noticed some latency when moving like I'd turn my character and it took half a second to turn in the game.
So for now will continue using my phone until that's gets sorted
Sony gave people £10 a couple months ago and I didn't get it and now xbox have some money away and I haven't got that either, is there some hidden requirement in missing 😂
@KelticDevil wow man what is your problem with Sony, every article you comment on you take a dig at sony even if the article has nothing to do with Sony...
You have sony on the brain, are you really that Butt Hurt that xbox keeps losing every generation, maybe your jealous of sonys 1st party mega hits or maybe your the biggest fanboy out there that you just can't help it
@mousieone I see your point and I agree, grounded does indeed look good and I hope it does come to game pass when Xcloud on android launches so i can try it, but without system sellers and focusing on gamepass and Xcloud on android and pc so you don't even need an xbox series X to play new titles, how do they expect to shift many units? It's all pointing towards Microsoft gearing up for a digital future with Xcloud and gamepass leading the way and Sony and Nintendo being the only consoles on the market whilst xbox are the Netflix of gaming
@KelticDevil you keep going on about us having no games yet we have more 1st party games than you and more JRPG's, and how many games have xbox had in the top 10 charts this year? I can count them with one hand even if that hand has 4 fingers missing I could still count them 😂👍
@Neither_scene ah, you're part of the grammar police i see. I am very sorry... I will refrain from using the word "your" like that from now on just to please you
@Blessed_Koz the Nintendo switch has no competition as its doing its own thing and is the only handheld console so has that while market to itself which has helped its impresse sales.
The switch will continue to sell really even after next gen gets released as its affordable. Caters to tv and handheld players, has a beasty first party library already, and of course has animal crossing lol all they need is a decent price cut at holiday season and I'm sure it will keep up
@BlueOcean yeah you could be right both consoles are bulky in a way that they both need powerful cooling systems as more power is needed and being used. I am hoping Sony announce those plates on either side are changeable so I can buy cool colours and patterns lol
@BlueOcean I dony think we can judge each consoles launch titles as they haven't been fully revealed yet and both have more presentations coming up before release where they could surprise us with something such as maybe new silent hill launch game (just me hoping) or a new gears for xbox, so I think until the launch titles are confirmed I think it's pointless bashing each others launch.
Also I think spiderman morales wa reported to be 20 hours in length which is a decent time unlike "the order 1886" now that was a joke
@Nickolaidas those sales are insane, bu the huge amount of sales they have surely helped that though. Can't see their being many playstation store sales during the first 6 months of the ps5 launch so I expect digital sales to be pretty low especially if the prices of games go up aswell which has been a major concern of mine regarding digital as they cost a lot more to buy on release day
@Nickolaidas That would be fine once the Internet takes big leaps and for example 50mbs is the norm/lowest on offer. Also would feel bad for the thousands of shops and online retailers that would go out of business and people made jobless
@BlueOcean also and I'm not being cocky here but sony also has the major popularity and bigger brand name, its been around longer and most people get it because of that and because they trust in that brand name (though its not always justified lol)
@Nickolaidas that's why gamepass is on pc and now coming to mobile, think about how many mobile users there are! All they need is a £40 controller and they are already set for next gen, that right there is how they get more subscribers and is something Sony need to follow...

@BlueOcean my comment was mainly aimed at Keltic tbh every article I read on here he comments something aimed at sony even if no one had mentioned sony yet lol so sorry I was fired up.
Let's face it both these new consoles have different strengths where the other has weaknesses. The main problem with xbox is because you botched last gen and the negative press you got from the "no used games" drama most players went over to playstation and will find it hard to win them back with a gamepass that has only last gen games until late 2021(or was that just on Xcloud?) .
