Tried the beta, the game mechanics are so confusing and the gameplay is just no fun.

@AlexSora89 yeah I remember well, I'm all up for cross play tbh as it makes jt easier to find matches on game slime paladins and smite, it was sony thinking they would lose players to other consoles if they enabled cross play but it was too late in the gen that it didn't matter anyway

Just wish they would now down to the requests of removing the censorship from some games

Tbh I think all online games should be free on every platform. Especially the free to play titles

I was wondering if say for example Sony announce a price before Microsoft and then Microsoft under cut them, can sony go back on it and then lower the price than the one they already revealed?. Or would it be too late as shops and online retailers would of already started taking pre order money etc

@Friendly they were just the big known games, including over 50 jrpg titles and all the indie exclusives theres more, best just to own a pc to play both consoles exclusives

@Menchi sorry I meant console exclusive. Exclusives going to pc seems to be continuing but in terms of console exclusives I think sonys is stronger than xbox, whilst both fail in comparison against the switch

PlayStation has plenty of Interesting exclusives, you just need to look for them

I had a xbox 360 and at the.eginning it had a lot of exclusives especially jrpgs like eternal sonata and vesperia which were amazing but this gen xbox had the worst exclusives I've ever seen and seemed to rely on the same franchises to get any sales (gears, halo, forza) although state of decay 2 was good. Yet Sony and Nintendo pump out exclusives like its nothing....

Erm... fire emblem is one of the best turn based tactics games ever made and is a nintendo exclusive and Mario and rabbids is also a turn based tactics game, so because they are a Nintendo fan doesn't automatically assume they don't play those kind of games, it's not all Mario platforming and Mario kart like clueless obsessed fanboys like you seem to think

@NEStalgia I honestly think breath of the wild 2 is a 2021game, they have probably been working on it for 2 years now. Though a spirit tracks remaster would be welcomed or another shot at wind waker

@Grot from what I've read the ps5 may release 2 weeks after the Xbox Series X in which case sony can wait this game out longer so I think xbox will announce their price first

@Somberpizza I have a switch, ps4 and gamepass so I'm not totally one sided but there is some truth in your comment, there's only two people on here who I'm baiting and that's Z3u5000 and keltic as I'm sick of seeing there troll comments about playstation/sony on almost every article even if it's unrelated to the ps5 they still take digs, so I'm just giving it back in return for amusement to see how far they go to defend xbox and at which point they stop whe they have lost the argument or run out ammo.

In all honestly I'm impressed with what xbox is doing in terms of gamepass I applaud them and wish the ps5 gets something similar with new releases included but at the same time it's moving away form traditional console gaming and becoming more like google stadia with a future with no actual console, and this cat and mouse over the price reveal is critical in my opinion as with covid and the recession and job losses its obvious the cheaper console is going to get a huge boost this time round.
This could be a close gen, the fastest console vs most powerful console (not by much), with that aside it comes down to what people trust and the system they believe will have the best games and in MY OPINION sony have always won that part and is why they outsell every gen, not because of the hardware or the design but the games

PlayStation has poor backwards compatability so they haven't copied xbox on that lol so what have playstation copied??

So xbox will try and go all out to promote gamepass in Japan, as its alll they have got going for them at the moment.

Pretty obvious Microsoft want it either ego to an digital future, or a Google stadia route with no actual console just game streaming over the Internet, which is fine but surely the quality of the actual games will fall as the developers would overall recieve less money from actaul physical sales.

Can see Sony revamping the ps now and also going down that route in several years and thats when Nintendo are the only actaul console on the market and be a bleak age for gaming. 😩

Can't see the Japanese choosing an American brand as they are very loyal to their own brands. Xbox needs to step up their JRPG game to win them over or atleast get better sales than the xbxo one had as that's where it failed as the Xbox one had no jrpgs compared to the ps4 (and later in the gen the switch)

@StylesT so what makes a better console? Is it not the games? It can't be power as I know quite a few people that say the switch is a better console than the xbxo one and ps4 and they have way more power.

Xbox's main title halo infinite looked bad and now delayed and state of decay 3 was a cinematic, so how can you say the ps5 hasn't showed anything better?

@HammerKirby sorry maybe that's just me, I've always bought games, completed it then sold it (unless I bought digital) same with any blu Ray movies I buy, only thing I buy and keep are my manga.

@Richnj because the ps4 is still being supported with games like cyberpunk and watch dogs and will get them on ps4 and carry on my save on ps5 when I get one in January. Plus there's still a few jrpgs I need to complete which are 60+ hours each so was hoping to get them and play them on the ps5, and I usually sell my current console to put towards the newer one.
Basically my comment was aimed at games that are more than 1 gen old

Not being funny but who wants to play ps1, ps2 and ps3 games anyway (a very select few that won't effect the market/sales) I had a whole 7 years each gen to play those games, along as the ps4 games are supported then I'm happy

And all that extra power the xbox series X has but no great games and exclusives that no where near match the quality and sales that sonys 1st party exclusives have....
All of xbox hopes rely on a streaming service as they are woeful in the retail console/software market.
At the end of the day power has nothing to do with who has the best console it comes down to the games (as that's the point of owning a console) and so far I see no reason to get an xbox series X with the same exclusives every gen, halo, gears and forza
