Microsoft Flight Sim Dev 'Working Full Speed On Xbox Console Version'

Microsoft Flight Simulator released to critical acclaim earlier this week via PC and Xbox Game Pass, but there's still one big question on many people's minds - when will it come to console?

It was noted a couple of months ago by Xbox boss Phil Spencer that the game is targeting Xbox Series X in addition to the previously announced Xbox One, but we hadn't had an update since then... until now.

Speaking on the latest Major Nelson podcast, Head of Microsoft Flight Simulator Jorg Neumann was asked directly about when we can expect a console version, and gave the following response:

"We are dedicated to come to Xbox (console), we're working really hard to make this happen. We don't have a timeline quite yet, but we are working full speed. Because we know it's important."

Both Neumann and Major Nelson also mentioned that they get bombarded with requests about a console version, so rest assured the Flight Sim team is well aware of the demand! Hopefully it won't be too long until we can take to the skies from the comfort of our living rooms on Xbox One and Xbox Series X.

When do you think Flight Sim will come to console? Give us your predictions in the comments.
