@GASEOUS Some seem to hate the Microsoft Store, I don't understand why. This is one of the biggest benefits of the MS Store. I love Steam, will buy everything I can through there unless the game is a Play Anywhere title. It also may restrict people from playing Cloud based versions of games they have purchased as well. If it is locked behind Game Pass that's a pretty shady move by Microsoft. You either own the game or you don't.
@GuyinPA75 I'm thinking the same thing. Though it seems Fable is being built from the ground up (likely using Direct Storage, and other real Next Gen features). Elders Srcolls: 6 will likely be running on existing/modified "Starfield" engine.
@Mauzuri It is not in game content. Stuff you can probably find online pretty easily for free after release. It's just concept art / music for the most part, it's clearly stated as behind the scenes content.
The games really aren't any better than they were many years ago. They force people like myself to then wait to buy the game at a discounted price so this essentially backfires because of greed.
@MrList If you buy it for 3.99 digitally you own it forever. Even if your house burns down with your Xbox, if that physical copy burns you can't redownload it. Not sure why this upsets you so much.
@GrailUK So Microsoft provided the link to who? Who leaked it? Microsoft didn't "leak" it. If I had information improperly handed to me and still leaked it you are the one who's responsible. That's quite the spin there.
Rockstar has become irrelevant to me after their total commitment to the online component and lack of support for the single player campaign. Just like Ubisoft, I just can't give my money to them anymore.
@Kaloudz To me, a game like Forza Motorsport or Horizon, if you pay full price for a game but can't play online without the service is a big mistake. While the game is playable solo this makes no sense. If Microsoft can't afford to support their title's online presence on games people pay full price for they shouldn't be making games. They have $70B to pay for ABK, they aren't broke and need to grift their consumers.
@StylesT Strange, and I have nothing against Zelda. But that game is exclusive and graphics aren't next gen and people argue it doesn't need to be. Then all the sudden a Microsoft game comes out and they have to compare it to some of the best games ever and say it just falls short. I've stopped reading reviews because of this.
@Kaloudz I'm nearing 50 years old and work a lot. I often have several games I juggle depending on time I have to play games. I do like to revisit games. I just need a few that I like. Not a giant library of games may not play. Picking up games on sale saves a lot of money. I do think Game Pass is a great feature. I refuse to pay for any Sony products so PlayStation Plus doesn't apply to me. With inflation everything goes up, income can't keep up so you have to make cuts somewhere and when every Game Pass game I play I own, I just don't see the point in paying for the service.
@Kaloudz Corporate greed is what is mostly driving the inflation and is not just industry wide. When they get greedy I stop giving them my money. They try to recoup it on the remaining consumers and that isn't what we call customer appreciation. I'll never pay another penny for these services on any platform until they make them affordable for all. This looks like they hate their base and could care less.
Microsoft is finding reasons to lose consumers and they are being very successful. I have been with Microsoft this whole run, even Windows is going down the tubes with W11. Sounds like they already screwed up the PC version of Forza Motorsport and can't get physics right because of the framerate? I'm sorry, but I just don't have faith in Microsoft anymore.
I keep saying this but whatever, guess I'll say it again. As soon as games support Direct Storage and other Velocity Architecture features the Series S will be a tiny little powerhouse. I don't know why these articles keep popping up, I don't believe anyone actually believes they would drop support for the Series S.
@Darude84 It's clearly an off screen recording and not representative of the actual pixel and visual quality of the game. What can be somewhat perceived though is the physics and sounds of the game. Overall it looks fine. Wait for the 1:1 video captures of the gameplay surely to come. This is a convention.
$50 seems a bit steep and the wrap in the video seems kinda cheap quality wise, I'd rather spend that money buying Starfield. Perhaps on sale these will sell. I'm guessing that's where these will be by holiday season.
Missed opportunity here really. They should have had a different background for each team. As someone posted in the Reddit link, I'm sure a few people in Buffalo are excited.
I believe the Steam version isn't Play Anywhere like when purchased through the Microsoft Store. Something I would want with this game to play both on PC and Series X without having to purchase twice.
@Altaria_97 That's basically my point. For me it basically it feels like a game feature they couldn't finish and sold it as DLC. I just felt they could have done more with it, I don't think it's a waste but going forward I'm going to pay for DLC separately going forwards and cherry pick my content.
I've learned my Ubisoft lessons because of Assassins Creed. Wait for the whole game with DLC to release and buy on sale with a lot less bugs and then... the game can be played and enjoyed. I bought Valhalla at launch, ran into a game breaking bug that broke the main story line and it was fixed like a half a year later only to run into more bugs. I basically paid Ubisoft for months of frustration with zero effort on their part to rectify or respond to requests to fix known issues. Not going to happen to me twice, because then shame on me. Even the upcoming Star Wars game that would normally be a day 1game will be on a back burner.
For me Forza Motorsport appears it will be a repeat of Halo Infinite. Two reasons I wanted Game Pass but now a reason why I feel Game Pass is a problem. Releasing unfinished content is one of my biggest pet peeves.
I haven't played FH5 since the Rally DLC BS that could have been in the core of the game. I went back to playing LEGO content in FH4 and haven't gone back.
Seems Microsoft is giving Xbox the Windows 11 treatment. Changing what nobody asked to be changed and telling you if you don't like it buy a Playstation. So Playstation sells more consoles with Microsoft's help.
I would have played it but too many other games to play because it was delayed on Xbox. The itch is gone, I can wait for deep discounts which are sure to come.
I find the backgrounds seem to be somewhat of an afterthought. I try to find something that works but the UI basically blocks everything even with the dynamic backgrounds so going with something bland and generic seem better suited unfortunately. I really like the Grounded one but the nice water animation is blocked by content.
I'm still using two of the original Elite controllers, still working great. I haven't bought series 2 controller yet, mainly due to the fact I can use AA batteries.
Both camps Sony and Microsoft have failed this generation of consoles with false promises of Direct Storage and other next generation features before release. Furthermore a "pro" version would cement me being a PC gamer going forward.
Looks like Forza Motorsport is getting the Halo Infinite treatment not releasing the full game at launch trickling in features. I really am trying to come up with a reason to keep Game Pass but they keep giving me more reasons to let it lapse.
@Kaloudz SP is a gift and a curse. I always thought it would be cool like in an MMO to visit a friend's house to see how they placed things around to decorate. I've never understood the purpose of decorating a dwelling if nobody else could see it. I'm not sure how this would work in a SP game but it leaves me uninspired to bother with decorating. I haven't played ESO or Fallout 76 and I don't know if these are features in those games. With Starfield it seems like a missed opportunity with all the customization of ships and outposts.
It feels like they are bleeding people off their 3 year Game Pass subscriptions. One of the main reason for me wanting my Game Pass to lapse is how few AAA day 1 games released and the quality of the releases, looking at you Halo Infinite. I feel that that Microsoft has not lived up to their promises of the Series X console. Not one game is using Direct Storage and Velocity Architecture features everything has been delayed. Microsoft has to earn my trust again with Game Pass.
@Kaloudz It's not exactly MMO style with server and world firsts. One of my biggest disappointment of Bethesda games is how they lack a connected experience to other player. For me it being a single player game there's little incentive to have to have the game on day 1.
@Lightning720 Everything having to deal with getting rid of Gold and then allowing online multiplayer for only the Ultimate? On top of it they took away the ability to prepay using Gold and converting. Not sure what you don't get. But consumers are getting screwed.

Do they make them in black, or plan to, for the new black Series S?

FTC is sure doing a lot of spinning to cover this up. I can't wait for MS to fire back.

Microsoft needs to sue the FTC. This is ridiculous. Sony fanboy FTC likely didn't do this by mistake.
