They should focus on their base. They are leaving in droves because they can't do anything right. Microsoft is still pushing big on AI that has us in this mess, I guarantee that they care more about AI than video games. They helped create the mess that drove up costs. Now they are talking about survivability. They deserve to have their base leave them. Unfortunately their greed is their overconfidence that will likely lead their undoing, in the gaming department. Asha is nothing more than a PR disaster employee at the moment.

I now remember why I took a break from Pure Xbox. This content platform isn't open to different opinions. Just attacking those that speak the truth that is hard to hear sometimes. Enjoy your vacuum.

@Kaloudz it's a fact Xbox fans were led to believe one thing. Then did something completely different than they were saying. I find your opinion inflammatory. Jumping from the gate first comment baiting people with your different opinion. "In before the doom bringers and naysayers." You really aren't contributing by attacking.

These games are literally apples and oranges in comparison.

Thanks Microsoft for helping me decide never buy a Microsoft console ever again. The paper launch for the Series consoles was horrible and full of undelivered promises. Good luck with Game Pass.

Is it just me... I read the title of the article TWO SquareEnix RPG.
Is this two games? RPG isn't plural, and the game has 2 in it, but beyond that I think I've spent more time trying to figure this out than absorbing the content of the article. Did they drop part 1 and 2?

I've personally dumped Game Pass so I'm not checking it out. I just want to say for people bashing the gameplay, I see a game like Death Stranding as boring but many people liked it. I'm not trying to compare the two games, it's just the example I'm using.

Microsoft letting go the "talent"... Helping me let go of Microsoft. Among many other failures since the launch of the Xbox Series consoles. Clearly Microsoft pulled the old Wizard of Oz trick on the fanbase. The smoke and mirrors cleaned up and it's just phil spencer with a fog machine and mirrors.

@BBB For a game that has been out since 2015. This should be embarrassing. Microsoft the shameless is at it again and why I dropped my Game Pass.

I feel like I got ripped off for $10. VATS is broken. Why no articles on that?

I don't get it, wasn't Microsoft onboard with preservation of games? Often being their reason for acquiring development studios. This get them while you can seems to literally be the opposite of game preservation.

Just cancelled my Game Pass. Microsoft has some work to do.

My skater friends swear up and down about Skater XL for what it's worth. They say it plays like real skating feels. I ride BMX my self so I can't attest to it myself, but figured I'd sharing for people that may be interested. I have personally never heard of the game before them mentioning it.

The backgrounds don't blend well with the UI. What's the point of the background if you can't even see it because it's blocked by the content. It's as if they didn't think things through first. For me the backgrounds are one of the biggest failures of the Xbox console UI.

@Ricky-Spanish Yeah, it's one of many reasons why I let my Game Pass lapse.

All I know is every major 'first party' title I was looking forward to on the Series X was botched in some way. I'm not sure fast tracking is the solution.

Bought on sale looking forward to this botched update... Likely will never install it now.

Looking forward to the update. I would think with the Fallout London Mod they could have just made it exclusive to the old version then work on an update. I'm no programmer though and I don't want to sound like this stuff is easy to do when I have no idea what's required. Hopefully everything works out for them, it seems they put in a lot of time and resources.

Storage space is probably the worst part of this generation of consoles for both Sony and Microsoft.

@BAMozzy Maybe that's what's odd is why even have to mention single player in the poll. As a whole I wish developers focused on gameplay and not cosmetics/microtransactions.

I find it strange that the poll asks if microtransactions are okay in single player games specifically as if pay to win multiplayer is okay? I wanted to choose other just for this reason.

What happened to the great decision to add Direct Input and Velocity Architecture features? I really want to know what happened to that decision. Sony quietly beat Microsoft to their own advantage and trounced them. You literally made it weaker by doing nothing.

The problem is the paper launch shows us it was theoretically possible. They just did nothing with it. Sony then doubled down on this where Microsoft dropped the ball. Never again will I buy a beta console.

I guess I'm the on the opposite end of things with AI. I'm not saying it doesn't have it's purpose. But trying to force it in every part of my life isn't what I consider a feature I was looking forward to. Direct input and machine learning (not AI searches), would be a nice place to start. I feel like I paid full price for beta hardware with the Series X, now Sony is positioned to do what Microsoft bragged about during the Series X launch. And all we get is AI search.... Not really the gaming feature I wanted.

Some of these fixes were long overdue. A nice update but the lack of 60 fps is a problem.

If Microsoft doesn't do something. Sony will be running laps around Microsoft with Machine Learning capabilities as Microsoft touted it with their paper launch promising Direct Input and Velocity Architecture and did nothing with it. Sony is going all in on what Microsoft dropped the ball on.

I surely won't be a beta tester for hardware anymore that is for sure. I'm just going to wait and see after the failed expectations of the current console. No direct input and it's as if Velocity Architecture was just some catch word when the Series consoles were announced.

@BBB We'll see, nothing more annoying than racing the computer AI and getting spun off the track before you can even rewind forcing you to restart the race.

@XxEvilAshxX I believe uncapped does help when future consoles play the game. I believe VRR on the Series consoles should help. But I get what you're saying.

I loved the Kinect. It seems to me that Microsoft screwed this up by marketing it wrong. They forced it with the console at launch and not everyone wanted it. It's too bad that Microsoft got trounced by the media and bended to the criticism. For me it's just more of Microsoft not having a backbone. They need to do something and be committed to it.

Hopefully another publisher wants to pick this up. I was really looking forward to this. Even over the other Star Wars games that were announced.

I will in return, continue my focus on other publishers not EA.

EA, another company just like Ubisoft that I have no desire to entertain or give my money to. Not just because of this but because of this and that and this and that and this and that. Greed is their only goal.

@ZuneTattooGuy Great point. A couple things caught my eye though from your comment. From the article: "Those 900 jobs amount to roughly 8% of PlayStation's current workforce; across all Sony Interactive Entertainment regions. The UK makes for particularly bad reading - PlayStation's London Studio will "close in its entirety" as part of these layoffs."
I'm not saying America isn't effected but it seems as though America may have survived most of the cuts, also it's the FTC not the FCC.
Perhaps the FTC isn't getting involved because America may have mostly been spared out of the 900. Microsoft's 1900 I believe was mostly America.

@Tyrant_T103 Sony wouldn't even allow Switch or Xbox to be there at all. Then then in the advertising would even push their slogan. "Only on Playstation." Sony marketing can't be legal, not sure how they get away with it.

@Romans12 This is why at the end of the day, not many people are upset about this. I can see how these couple titles might get someone to buy an Xbox console, though like you, none of them appeal to me. For those that do play those games though, it gives Microsoft users more people to play with, that's always a plus.
