Re: Roundup: Here's What The Critics Are Saying About Xbox's Hellblade 2

VokDaWiibSlayer

The first game wasn't a gameplay masterpiece and it seems a lot of the lower scores seem to miss that. I'm guessing they weren't much of a fan of the first game either if that's their gripe. A game should be fun no doubt but sometimes that problem rests with the player and not the game itself, biases be damned. I myself enjoyed the first game on ps4 and replayed on Series X and look forward to playing the sequel.

Re: 'Xbox No Longer Making Consoles' Begins Trending As Panic Continues

VokDaWiibSlayer

Another day another article about how xbox isn't going to be around tomorrow to some capacity. Like can we wait to hear from xbox themselves before we have full on existential meltdowns over trivial *****? Or better yet, can we just play games and care less about the where or why?

Full grown men acting like absolute animals over 500$ plastic boxes has been old. Can't help but laugh.

Re: Starfield Celebrates 13 Million Players With A New Infographic

VokDaWiibSlayer

I have Gamepass, bought the game and put about 80 hours in my first sitting with plans to tackle some more time over the holidays. Haven't beat the game yet too. Been playing some BG3 as well. I don't get how any RPG fan can't enjoy both games, but that's their problem. Glad I'm eating good instead of staying miserable in the comments. ***** must be old by now.

Re: Remedy Dev Reckons There's 'Nothing Surprising' About Baldur's Gate 3 Xbox Series S Debacle

VokDaWiibSlayer

One dev can't do it, another one can. I'm so tired of this argument. PC has different power levels and they have a valid work around in place that accommodates this. These are sacrifices of course and I'm all for those sacrifices being necessary, even if that means skipping the S with certain features or even games entirely. S owners would protest of course but thats the ensentive to get a more powerful machine. But the back and fourth between devs calling out the S or praising it is stupid. One of the hottest game systems to date is running off mobile hardware and is one of the console market leaders. They seem to have no problems optimizing for their system. The console space is ludicrous in its entirety.

Re: AMD Announces 'Exclusive' Starfield Partnership That Will Benefit Players On Xbox & PC

VokDaWiibSlayer

@ChromeMud fanboys are petty. I see it time and time again. To be honest, as a playstation owner as well, I don't follow playstation content creators because all they do is talk about xbox. It's the mindset of miserable gamers and misery loves company. If they got to dull mine for theirs to shine theirs wasn't that bright to begin with.

I get your grievance but for some ape brain reason these dudes feel inclined to be insufferable and nasty as a default. Nothing is ever good enough for them and when it is its not because it's flawless or even exceeds the narrow expectations they conjure. Its the watermark logo and branding attached to it. Nobody has even played Spiderman 2 and it's potential GotY wins are already being discussed. Meanwhile Starfield is being picked apart in the same situation. There is a huge bias that exists and it sucks, but I'm not gonna let it ruine my fun. If they want to throw barriers in front of their enjoyment then let them. I'd rather enjoy *****.

Re: AMD Announces 'Exclusive' Starfield Partnership That Will Benefit Players On Xbox & PC

@ChromeMud two things you may have missed:

1.) There are always lurking fanboys throwing shade any chance they get. This is everywhere end not exclusive to the xbox comment section. We get the mix of ponys and master racers here, the two worst fanboy groups in my opinion.

2.) The narrative spun has been that of a good vs evil yarn. All these companies are big tech corporations, yet because MS has the higher market cap they're the evil ones. Exclusively them. All that oppose are sent from heaven and hand picked by God.

My advice is enjoy what you enjoy and let them be miserable. I actually feel bad for them to be honest. No joy in their lives.

Re: God Of War: Ragnarök Dev Chimes In On Starfield's 30FPS Xbox Limit

VokDaWiibSlayer

@Tharsman our previous engagement consisted of you saying that TVs used to be smaller. You'll have to forgive me for not knowing your prior history. That being said there is the world as it is and the world as you'd like it to be. I offered advice to navigate it as it is. If you ever decide to make the change to more align it with how youd like it to be, you'll have my support. Until then... best of luck.

Re: God Of War: Ragnarök Dev Chimes In On Starfield's 30FPS Xbox Limit

VokDaWiibSlayer

@Tharsman I'm sure the blind would love to drive cars too. I myself have a fairly large TV, far larger than any TV Ive owned previously. I don't suffer these ailments. Without scientific evidence to back up these claims all I can go off is my own anecdotal experiences. And as I said to BBB with the world as it is there is an amount of responsibility that rest on the consumer to navigate these issues. If that means playing on a smaller TV, playing on PC or not playing at all that's a personal choice that comes down to the consumer. We're talking about a billion dollar corporation that's targeting the biggest of their demographics. Small blips of an undocumented "syndrome?" steeped in relative infancy isnt their responsibility. I mean this in no way to disregard or claim that anyone who truly suffers is faking by any means. It's just not the world's responsibility to handle it. Not yet atleast.

Re: God Of War: Ragnarök Dev Chimes In On Starfield's 30FPS Xbox Limit

VokDaWiibSlayer

@BBB then don't play the games. If you can't be bothered to navigate your own ailments why should anyone else? I don't mean that to sound harsh but you're talking about a phenomenon that has yet to be proven scientifically. Im sure as awareness becomes available they will take these things into account but at this impasse it's a regular console war debate that carries little actual scientific proof or understanding. I don't mean to say you don't actually suffer, and I am truly sorry that you do, but it is what it is and we just aren't there yet.

Re: Indie Game Gets Overlooked For Xbox, Publisher Suddenly Changes Decision

VokDaWiibSlayer

Xbox live/gamepass monthly active users as of Jan 2023 was at 120 mill while PS was at 108 mill as of March 2023 with less than half of that actually subbed to ps+. I'm sure some of the xbox monthly users is PC bleed over but thats still people utilizing the xbox ecosystem. The "xbox has a smaller install base" logic is fundamentally flawed and just a piss poor excuse at this point. If some third party indie dev wants to create excuses instead of ports I won't buy their product on any of my systems.

Re: Feature: Our Predictions For The Game Awards 2022

VokDaWiibSlayer

@Dezzy70 I have not had any issues like you described and I have had a series X on 2 TVs and a series S on another. Neither of the 3 tvs had any issues like you've described. May be another issue outside of the update, like a cord or port? My wife's TV was having issues initiating HDR because a port fried and it drive me bonkers as I assumed it was the console because our roku box wasn't having the same issue. Of course I could be just lucky I suppose. Hope it all gets worked out for ya.

Re: Phil Spencer Passionately Defends Xbox Game Pass Over Call Of Duty Concerns

VokDaWiibSlayer

I love the fake outrage. Some of yall so bored with your games you spend your days crying and bitching online instead of you know... actually playing video games. It's buisness like it or not and if you want to be a "smart" consumer you'll follow the value. Sony and MS don't give a ***** that yall mad about whatever dipshit reasons yall conjure day in and day out. They care about money and the ways to seperate you from it, like lying. Some of yall make this ***** way more complicated than it needs to be. Gamepass is a fantastic value at this point that's only going to grow from the ABK merger. That's subject to change of course but that doesn't need some salty ass gamers cosign to be true. No joy gamers always trying to make everyone as miserable as they are.

Re: PSA: Now's Probably A Good Time To Use 'Energy Saver' Mode On Xbox Series X|S

VokDaWiibSlayer

@lokozar you hope I don't use relevant points to demonstrate inadequacy in narcissistic behavior? Well of course, it's effective against those of your detriment.

All jokes aside I encourage all to actively be a better person. That's not the issue i currently have with you. We should all thrive to be the best we can be and hold ourselves accountable for our actions. I actually agree with a lot of what you said, just not with how you go about saying it. The issue I have is that you're online making it as if you deserve some reward because, in your head, no one is "as good" as you are at energy conservation. LOL! You want recognition because you've done something you should be doing but have deduced no one else does. I'm sure you've done no control group to determine this either. All the while you lack in other areas within the same perameters and shrug it off. Ummm... Hypocrite!? Now sure, I could rattle off the fact that every time my wife and I leave a beach we remove far more trash than we ever bring. I could rattle off every conservative effort I've ever made in my life. I can make it out like it's all some grand display that elevates me above others. But that would cheapen my actions when all I have to do is demonstrate this action to my circle in a positive and reaffirming manner and thus usher in and spread the good deed and encourage growth because it's the right thing to do as opposed to superficially inflating my ego. They then encorporate this into their lives and repeat the cycle. I have been quite successful in getting my group to cut the plastic rings from 6 packs and removing trash from public areas we frequent just by watching me do it. By contrast look at your engagement in this thread. Not one mind was changed by your ego, and the fact that you see no room for improvement lends to my assessment that you are indeed a narcissist with a superiority complex rather than someone actively trying to do good. After all, a good deed for the wrong reason isn't a good deed.

You're not wrong in doing the right thing, I'm not making that claim at all. I'm just saying with your anime avatar and elitism you come off more as an incel than someone trying to encourage others to do better. If you softened up on the douchey stuff people would be more inclined to actually hear the truth you speak as opposed to being repulsed by your elitist attitude. Take or leave the constructive criticism. At the end of the day you're on an Xbox site typing a on a phone arguing about how much better YOU perceive yourself to be over a bunch of strangers. If you were indeed better you wouldn't need the validation.
