Modders abandoned the game en masse.

$600 minimum for the Regular and if they charge $900+ for the X they’re going to get torched for pretending to be better than 2 Switch 2s.

And there in lies the only reason this really exists. It’s a tech demo for Windows Gaming Edition. Not being able to play console games on what is being sold as a genuine bona fide Xbox is frankly a dealbreaker.

The console is already a full generation old. The library has too few exclusives and near 0 third party support.

No offense to anyone who likes any specific game but MS is showing they have no intention of improving their products and are content to continue on as they are.

I really liked Flight Sim enough to buy it outright, but nobody is lining up to play a hardcore sim game. Starfield died (Az was right). They gave away their exclusives and this is an admission that was stupid.

FFVII is set in Midgar.

Obscur is set in a real place and time and fails to capture France outside of a landmark here and there.

Is there something about modern controllers that tend to fail more often?

I’ve had one Dbox controller fail and it was the fancy gold shadow version, but my controllers that came in box are perfect. I got lucky and only had one pair of Nintendo joycons fail.

But my random GCN and Wii controllers I’ve had since launch or bought from people online are nothing short of ROBUST.

Best First party game IMO has been Flight
Sim 24: I just find it extremely relaxing and the campaign mode makes it feel even more rewarding.

Best 2nd party game has been Black Ops 6. Just incredible experience and really brings back memories.

Best 3rd Party Game has probably been Final Fantasy Crisis Core. I find older FF games harder to get into because I didn’t grow up with them.

As a bonus.

Best OG game is Grabbed by the Goulies. A very underrated Rareware game.

Best 360 game is Black Ops 2 obviously.

Best One game is Outer Worlds.

For a console with 100% fewer exclusives that’s not bad.

I just played a game called Steep and really enjoyed it, this looks great as well.

The only benefit to Ms buying Ubi outright would be the dismantling of Ubisoft+ and rolling it into Gamepass. Honestly though I don’t see why MS just make their own games in the genre. After Shadows launches AC will be a worthless tarnished brand that would require a ton of effort just to fix its relation with players. Why not just make a stealth game with no baggage?
