Honestly portable game pass would be really awesome, moreso if I could play the games I own through the Microsoft store as well.

Does that mean the PS5 version is better or PS critics are more starving for content so they give higher scores?

This is the best thing for Microsoft, Sony is hemorrhaging money right now and they don’t even have enough games to support the regular PS5. Let them overextend again no need to copy bad ideas.

They should buy it and then give Nintendo a free port to minimize their chance of future success.

Being able to play physical discs from every era of the franchise is beyond cool. And if MS treats the Series X like the One next gen then I’ll be able to keep collecting next gen games for years.

It’s so much fun being able to walk into my local retro game store, pick up a random edgy as heck 360 game off the shelf and learn I can play it right now.

Will this generation of gaming ever begin? If you’ve held onto your XB1 this long there’s literally still no reason to upgrade after 4 years.

After 4 years any Nintendo console would have a dozen must play exclusives.

A good remake or remaster is great to make accessible games you’d have no chance getting the hardware for. But the trend of the new version being worse than the original we’ve seen the last couple of years (Deadspace, RE4, tales of symphonia, chrono cross, etc.) really grinds my gears.

I haven’t even owned an Xbox for 2 years and I already don’t see a point in getting the next one. New fans are going to abandon ship so fast it’ll make Sonic look slow.

I’d say let’s vote on the opposite but I can’t really think of anything I’d want from Sony. Except Jak and Daxter that looks dope.

I know bigwigs are always going to push for a gaming metaverse, but as others have mentioned…Sony first.

If the rumors are true history will write that was the best or the worst decision ever made by a game company, there is no middle ground.

Or Xbox could try their new strategy and pay for Sony’s port instead of their own.

IMO Microsoft should be doing the opposite, they should be doing everything they can to crush Sony. People care way way more about exclusives than specs, so thing would pretty detrimental. If anything they focus should be putting these (or just game pass) on Nintendo’s next console which will probably release in the next year or two.

Between MS, Sony, and Nintendo; whoever does the first digital only console (with no physical version at all) will be considered a failure and will lose that generation of gaming…then the other 2 will follow up do the same thing and be loved.

I keep hearing about this legendary game Sega released in 2006. People have been talking about it for almost 20 years, so it must have been really good if people still remember it.

On Xbox it’s pretty rare as games just have so much content I can’t really justify spending the money on a game I still have base game unfinished, but on the Switch it’s much more often as games (the ones that interest me at least) are shorter and cheaper.

It’s biggest problem was its lack of identity.

No and here’s why.

We all know just how astronomically large the gaming market is even after you factor out whatever percent is dominated by Steam. Microsoft probably has a little under a third of the console market and IMO has the best tech and just needs to lock in a killer IP like its own Mario.

Maybe that’s WoW or CoD, maybe they still need to buy a big name like Square or Capcom, but Microsoft has a user experience Nintendo and Sony can’t/won’t offer.

There aren’t many good Pokemon-likes out there. I’m hoping something like this which doesn’t strictly adhere to the worst aspects of Pokemon may actually be good.

(Coromon and Nexomon are the only good Pokemon-likes IMO)

This is content that is offensive to 99% of Microsoft’s user base. It needs to be banned no matter what.

How they do it can be called into question, but not why they’re doing it. It cannot exist in their public spaces.

People make god points about who actually had the better post, but like Gamepass>>>PSN any day of the week.

For me the worst was the Story of Seasons remake. It’s like the opposite in quality to RE4 in every way.

It’s actually the same problem as this, in that the only problem is other people’s perception.

I think what’s funniest about this is that Nintendo fans do way dumber stuff and are always met with applause.

E.g. down-porting new games to DS or SNES.
