It may have only been about 10 seconds since Black Ops 6 launched on Xbox, but Call of Duty is back once again with Black Ops 7; debuting with a co-op campaign on Game Pass this year, as you'd expect.

We heard rumours about more Black Ops coming in 2025 for a while, but we didn't expect to get a full-on sequel here. Either way, it does sound like the team is mixing things up this year, with BO7 containing "a thrilling and innovative co-op campaign" alongside yet more multiplayer and Zombies action.

Here's how the Activision team is setting up Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 on Xbox:

"The year is 2035 and the world is on the brink of chaos, ravaged by violent conflict and psychological warfare following the events of Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 6. Wielding cutting-edge technology, the Black Ops team led by David Mason must fight back against a manipulative enemy who weaponizes fear above all else."
