Call Of Duty Goes Co-Op With Black Ops 7, Coming To Xbox Game Pass This Year

That trailer threatened to look interesting ... until the words 'Call of Duty' flashed up.

I was excited then call if duty comes up and my interest disappears

If u can't play the campaign solo then that'll be a pass for me. Will probably just play some of the multiplayer.

I'm sort of interested to see if this comes to NS2. I haven't played a COD in a while and I don't have GP (please stop throwing tomatoes) so I may get it there.

They lost me on this especially with the way COD is now. I know it still sells well but this product, just like halo, needs to be put into a basement for a good bit because its lost its identity in my opinion

@IronMan30 They did state during ABK that they intend to support Nintendo. It could happen, though I would suspect if this CoD doesn't go over, it will be next year's CoD.

Either way, it's CoD, it's on GP, I'll play

I hope the Campaign has a Solo option - I don't want to play the Campaign in Co-op at all and have never really enjoyed playing Campaigns 'co-op'. In fact I won't play ANY campaign co-operatively until I have beaten it Solo.

I knew this was CoD - especially when the AI women started to show 'BO3' style Robots of Warfare. Then a certain scene screamed 'The Numbers Mason' which confirmed this was CoD.

I'll likely buy it and despite it not being 'Game of the Year', it will likely be my 'most played' in terms of hours. I play BO6 most days for at least an hour or two to get the dailies in Zombies done, sometimes will do them for Warzone and MP too and get my '15mins' min of GP Games played. I've already completed the Season 4 Battle Pass and all events, all Nebula Camo's inc on the new Essex. For all the 'criticism', it still ends up being the 'most played' game in many peoples Library.

This looks good. I only care about the singe player side of things but so far so good.

@Kaloudz it actually looks surprisingly interesting compared to the last few entries, tbh. I'd consider the Xbox version if NS2 isn't an option.

@EdgarTheBug Worst part is that Halo was put in a basement (6 or so years between Halo 5 and Infinite) and they still released a game with a boring campaign and half its features missing

@IronMan30 I'll play the campaign either way because I enjoy them, but... I absolutely suck at future-like gameplay. I stopped playing CoD for years when they introduced all that wall running jet pack stuff with (was it?) advanced warfare?

Saying that I do like the main actor (I forget his name but he was in Rocky and This is Us) so I'll probs play campaign just based on that.

I feel like BO6 Beta was only a few months ago, just let us settle with that for another year phewwwww. Also, preferring nostalgia and historic stuff, maybe have a third COD game series specifically set in the future...

@Lrapsody That’s what I’m saying! I thought Microsoft was going to wait a few years in between COD games but I guess not. Like @edgarthebug said, they need to shelf the Call Of Duty series for a while. At least let people enjoy the previous entry first.

I’m more of a MW campaign fan than BO and not really a fan of futuristic games, so this trailer done nothing for me. Weirdly the only thing making me slightly want to play this IS the co-op.

Honestly, the Black Ops 6 campaign was fantastic! I loved it (and the MP is fun, to be honest), so I’m actually psyched for this.

I don’t really get all the naysayers that haven’t even played a cod in years, but is the first in line on the hate band wagon.

The Blops 6 campaign is generally seen as great (give it a try if you have GamePass). The last few 3-4 campaigns have been good, even. Clearly the games are loved by many, considering their popularity. I guess the hate seen on comments sections are the negative few. As always though, the people that are happy rarely post about it..

And no, I’m not a sweaty teen spending all my time with COD. I’m 44, but I can still kick ass online in a whole bunch of games. 😁

@Briarback That's the one!! I thought at first it was a Remedy game, then I thought Deus Ex, and then CoD titled the screen and I was like, eh? Didn't see that coming lol.

@Briarback crazily, I still need to finish the Cold War campaign and so haven't even played BO6's yet! But honestly, BO6 multiplayer has to me just been fantastic. Such top quality gameplay 😍

As for the setting, this is obviously more 'futuristic' than BO6 and MW as well as pretty much the last 5yrs+ of Call of Duty so maybe it is time for something 'fresh' in terms of setting for a year before no doubt MW returns....

We had MW2 then MW3 followed by BO6 and next is BO7....

I find MW3 movement very 'stiff' and 'clunky' compared to BO6 and I am not one that's sideway's/backwards sliding/diving etc everywhere, I only use it occasionally almost in panic when being shot at but just playing CoD like I've always played CoD, the movement feels so smooth, slick and more natural so I'm glad that's likely to carry over into 7...

This seriously doesn’t do it for me from watching that trailer. I don’t know what to think about this. Pretty cool they’re bringing David Mason back but it’s only 10 years into the future and looks like it should be 50 years with the technology. Also the story probably going to be absolute nonsense like Black Ops 3.

4 player, Splitscreen, Zombies or another skip.

I'm still grinding my way through the Prestige's in Black Ops 6, I'm not ready for another version... 🥴 Can't they just merge this with 6? 😛
