We've had a lot of great Xbox news recently, but there's a report about job cuts doing the rounds today courtesy of Bloomberg which sadly says "major layoffs" are expected throughout the Xbox division at some point next week.
The report specifically mentions that managers within Xbox are "expecting substantial cuts across the entire group", although it remains to be seen how badly the brand will be affected.
Microsoft was apparently approached by the outlet prior to publication, but declined to comment.
It's also already been suggested that Microsoft will be making cuts beyond the Xbox division next week, potentially in the form of "thousands" of layoffs focused mainly around sales. Bloomberg notes that Microsoft's fiscal year ends on June 30th, which is usually the time when "major organisational changes" are made at the company.
