Weekend time! As we head into another hot couple of days here in the UK, we're planning to check out a bunch of new Xbox Game Pass titles, a few new Free Play Days additions, and possibly the new releases of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced and DOOM The Dark Ages Revelations amongst other things!
Here's what we're playing on Xbox this weekend:

I'm trying to save up some Microsoft Rewards points for both GTA 6 and Star Wars: Galactic Racer right now, so as much as I do want to try AC Black Flag Resynced and the new DOOM DLC, they might have to go on the backburner.
In the meantime, I've got plenty to be getting on with - Blue Prince, Football Manager 26, 007 First Light, Forza Horizon 6, Mixtape, Tiny Bookshop, EMPULSE... the list goes on. There's also the World Cup that will take up much of my time!
I also really want to finish Dispatch on my ROG Xbox Ally X (it's excellent) before the game arrives as part of Xbox Game Pass at some point this summer, so perhaps that'll take priority this weekend.

Momentum to see every RPG in my backlog through to the end has come to a grinding halt. Predictable, really.
Now, I could blame myself. My lack of drive, my inability to stay fully-committed. Yes, I could. Instead, I’ll point the finger squarely at Gears 5.
It has reeled me in like a man possessed, let me tell ya. I yearn for the longshot, to flick headshot my Locust foes, and to finally reach the rank of General in Tour of Duty (even if doing so only earns me a measly 5 gamerscore).
I’m clearly channelling all of my excitement for Gears of War: E-Day into what I’m playing right now, so it makes sense I'm fixated on Gears. With all that being said, though, I’d love to give DOOM: The Dark Ages a proper go this weekend. That, and spend a little more time sailing the open seas with Edward Kenway.
I really need to party up on Gears 5. It’d be spectacular to jump on with some friends. Like the old days!
