Re: Silent Hill: Townfall Not Coming To Xbox At Launch, Along With A Few Other State Of Play Titles

@DennisReynolds And you can't seem to wrap your head around the fact playstation are massively worse for the practice ...don't know why you can't understand this simple premise .....

And seen as I own both a ps5 and series X the whole point this annoyed me was that I could empathize how frustrating it will be for players to be locked out of playing a big new game that I personally thought was the best of the show

A practice playstation has always done significantly more than Xbox for a long time

And maybe you shouldn't keep spouting nonsense if you don't know what you are talking about...because like I proved you wrong with you saying playstation funded silent hill 2....you then decided to fabricate more nonsense saying Xbox had more timed exclusives this gen....which @Questionable_Duck has empathically proved to be more blatant made up nonsense by you

@Stocksy I personally didn't think it was that great a show, game that stood out most to me was Silent hill....which would obviously annoy me if I didn't own a playstation(I do) ...and the chicken game lol (can't remember it's name)

And obviously the god of war remake trilogy ...which is obviously miles away ....and I think playstation must have obviously thought the show wasn't that great for them to throw in an announcement of a game so far off

@Questionable_Duck No @DennisReynolds is talking complete bollocks.

A quick Google search will show you playstation has had significantly more timed exclusives this gen

Bottom line: PS5 has 2–3x more verified third-party timed exclusives (~30+ vs. ~15–20), driving its edge in blockbuster third-party launches this gen

Not only that but playstation pay for significantly longer deals aswell on average

PS5: ~14.8 months (time from PS5 launch until Xbox/Series X|S release for timed third-party console exclusives)

Xbox Series X|S: ~8.5 months (time from Xbox launch until PS5 release).

@Naughtyottsel92 So you are now resorting to bringing up a game from 11 years ago to try and argue back

I don't feel strongly either way about something that happened 11 years ago...think it says all that needs to be said that you have to go back 11 years to find a game that mimics the practice playstation used then and still do now

But if you want to go back

Both Sony (PlayStation) and Microsoft (Xbox) have used paid timed exclusivity, but the strategy is generally considered to have been popularized and utilized more extensively by PlayStation throughout the console wars, with early, major examples like Grand Theft Auto and later Final Fantasy.

@Naughtyottsel92 Erm

Sony did not directly fund the development of the Silent Hill 2 remake; rather, they paid Konami for a 12-month timed console exclusivity deal, keeping it off Xbox. While Konami funded the development.

The partnership with Xbox was a major reason Stalker 2 was not canceled, as it helped GSC Game World navigate extreme development difficulties.

See how it's abit different kiddo

@Naughtyottsel92 None of said games I ever mentioned?

The fact you are trying to compare a game like silent hill 2 with stalker 2 is embarrassing....

not like one came from a major publisher which would have released it with or without Sony paying for timed exclusivity and the other from a indie working from a worn torn country...and if Xbox didn't step up it wouldn't have come out atall

Didn't play it on release as I must have been playing other stuff ....don't know if I will ever play it now ...I did briefly give it a go a while back ...but it didn't grab me in the very short time I gave it

I did however jump back into fallout 4 today though and picked up my old save from back on release lol ...(I gave up at level 25 because I got sick of the load times back in the day)....and I really enjoyed it t

Unfortunately the sheep jumped on the band wagon hard for clair obscur...was obvious it would dominate....I played and completed both these games...both good games but my god the over hype for clair obscur and would defo say Kcd2 was the better game ...infact quite a few better games than Clair obscur in my opinion
