There's plenty of chatter around the restructuring of Xbox Game Studios, with reports that multiple development teams could be at risk of closure ahead of the proposed Xbox Reset. Confidence that it won't be a bloodbath isn't exactly great, leading to an increasing concern for one particularly quiet studio, Arkane Lyon.
Fans were understandably disappointed that Marvel's Blade didn't make an appearance at the Xbox Games Showcase 2026 despite being announced a few years ago.
However, Bethesda boss Todd Howard offered encouraging remarks about the project in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
Following a prod on the status of The Elder Scrolls VI, Howard offered a brief comment on the development of the iconic daywalker:
"I'm not at liberty to say when [we'll see more]...but I saw some stuff just yesterday [on May 21] and the folks at Arkane are doing a really, really great job."
If you couple Howard's optimism with the official word out of Arkane to "Let us cook", then maybe it kind of sounds like, err, maybe we have no reason to worry whatsoever? Right?
Well, here's hoping that remains the case, the cooking goes well, and Xbox find the right time to showcase Marvel's Blade in the near future.
