Xbox has announced that Forza Horizon 5 will be getting a free "10-Year Anniversary" update on October 11th, and the Forza Horizon team will be celebrating the series' tenth anniversary throughout the entire month as well.
Here's what you can look forward to in Forza Horizon 5 throughout October:
"Relive some of the series’ most iconic gameplay moments, brought to life through an all-new story, the return of fan-favorite music and the adrenaline-fueled Midnight Battles mode where you can score cars by winning head-to-head races."

And well deserved 10th anniversary treatment.
The series has continually given and improved though out the years and well done playground games.
FH5 the only true big AAA released since the series consoles got released.
As someone who has played all of the Horizon games (FH1 was the first game I ever 'beat'), it's nice to see so much being done for the 10th anniversary. With that being said, I was hoping for a remaster / remake of the first game. Imagine that, with all the DLC included and what have you!
Excited for this! Sadly My 360 FH1 copy doesn’t want to load the disc anymore. Can only start a new game on Xbox One but no save possible and no DLC that I bought, even through the cloud. Just wanted to see the cars in my garage …
I don't get it? So is this the Forza 5 with all the DLC?
@Snake_V5 No sign of that, it's just a normal update with some races and returning music from the old FH games I believe.
I would like the main theme from FH3, the first one I bought and played, to be included in this celebration. The first game is the only one that I don't have because it was no longer available when I wanted to get in digital form. I wonder if FH4 will be removed from the store next month, four years later.
I really really hope they’ve brought back Darius Flynt for the new story mode.

Me and my wife are recently 'all in' back on FH4 I guess we're a sucker for that english vibe, but another reason to jump back into FH5 is definately welcome!
Dear Playground (because you’re obviously reading this)… please, please, please relist previous delisted FH games and all DLC content for the anniversary - celebrate the anniversary by embracing the legacy. I’d love to finally finish what I’ve not been able to. Thanks in advance

Not happening, I'm afraid. It's not about them not wanting to sell legacy FH games. It's about expired licences for cars, music etc. I'd love to buy all Forza Motorsport 6 DLC(my fav entry) but I was late to the party and it's unobtainable now 😕

Been riding along since the first one - really excited to take a trip down memory lane and for the series to take a much-deserved victory lap (how many racing analogies can I fit in one sentence?).
Not expecting anything too groundbreaking, though yea, a remaster of 1 (arguably the best) would be incredible — and highly unlikely. I'll gladly take this though, especially since it's free.

@Zochmenos You mean replacing the disc drive? I only have this problem with FH1, sadly. Looked online & more people seem to have that problem. Tried to tinker a bit but the 2GB seems to be too big. If I was on PC it could've worked.
@Pusher2021 No, I didn't mean replace the drive. You didn't provide faulty drive related context.
Every disc loads when opening/closing the drive or rebooting the console. With FH1 it does nothing, like there is no disc. My thought was loading it on my Xbox One would be easy. It has no problem loading/playing but no cloud save, so only a new game (but I like to play where I left off & play the DLC). Tried via USB but the already formatted USB doesn’t recognize the 2GB save.
There is no specific fault code showing. Even removed cache but no dice. And it’s still connected to the internet. There are also a couple of bought XBLA games that I bought and showing now as a not bought/trial but Achievements unlocked but it is FH1 I care for.
@Daniel1221 I’d love that. I missed the Rally DLC for one but like you have “finished”multiple Forza games. It’s a great series
Definitely excited for this. The first Horizon is still my favorite. It just had the most character and my favorite setting of the series.
