Saber Interactive has just dropped another update for its multiplayer spookfest, Evil Dead: The Game, and this one is all about the 2013 movie reboot. Two characters from the film are available via the 'Evil Dead 2013 Bundle DLC', but there are some free additions here too.

The most notable freebie is a new single-player side mission within the '2013' update. It arrives alongside two new weapons to help survivors banish the evil - the 'Nail Gun' and the 'Syringe'.

If you are interested in adding the two new characters to your repertoire, the paid DLC containing both of them will set you back $9.99. The bundle is also part of Season Pass 1, if you've already picked that up.

Here's a bit of background on the new additions: Mia Allen and David Allen.

A Machete weapon master able to become temporarily immune to possession, Mia’s unique power raises her damage as her fear increases – the more scared she is, the more damage she’ll deal. David, meanwhile, is a beacon of hope for the team, able to reduce fear and damage taken for himself and nearby allies as he dishes out the hurt.

The premium DLC pack and the free update are both available now for Evil Dead: The Game.
