Playground Games has announced plans to launch Forza Horizon 6 on PS5 alongside its first Premium Expansion pack on all platforms on January 21, 2027.
Technically, the game doesn't fully launch on PS5 until January 26, but PlayStation gamers can cough up some extra dosh to play the game five days early. The Horizon Festival will feature full cross-platform and cross-save support across PS5, Xbox and Steam versions of the top-notch racer.
If you fancy pre-ordering the Premium Edition, all the extra goodies included in the upcoming expansion (and Expansion 2 at some point) will be part of the bundle. Pre-orders for the PS5 version are live now, and if you do fancy picking it up, customers will receive an in-game Ferrari J50 as a reward for their early patronage.
Sadly, details for what's actually included in Forza Horizon 6's first Premium Expansion have yet to be revealed. There will also be a free content update for all players at the same time. So, I suppose we'll just have to park our butts and wait for that.
We reviewed the game back when it launched in May, awarding it with a 9/10. Our lovely Ben Kerry reckoned he'd be playing Forza Horizon 6 for years to come and I'd wager that's quite likely. Here's a snippet from the review:
"Forza Horizon fans are going to have so much fun with this sixth iteration, and that's not to mention how much the game will change and evolve over time as Playground Games keeps adding to it. Horizon Japan is officially here, and I feel like I'm going to be playing this game for years to come."
