not surprised at this news for xbox the last few years it has been one step forward two steps back..

@FraserG Without trying to downplay anything, just to be clear and accurate: regarding the first wave, it wasn’t all layoffs strictly speaking , some studios also became independent. It’s still important to note that many people kept their jobs, just under a different entity.

I literally couldn't care less about strangers job security in a sector that has been volatile for a long time!
Life's too short to be effected by this gaming is a hobby to be enjoyed not burdened by.
If things like this effect you why not worry about jobs in your local supermarket chain or your energy providers for your home better yet the sweat shops where your clothes are made what about those??
The world loves a good sob story nowadays!

My favourite part about this news story is people on social medias acting like this is new news. We knew it was coming. The first wave was about what studios could be cut and the second wave is the restructor. It sucks for those who will lose their jobs but to me, this feels like when Elon took over Twitter. Lots of people not doing a great deal. And that is not a great way to run a business. Again, not the staff who may be on the chopping block fault but terrible management. For example, look at Double Fine. Love the studio but it's amazing how productive they have become since losing access to MS funds. I would imagine that Todd has a bee in his bonnet over at Bethesda since he was told he has to actually do some work now!

@ZeD and it also won't be the last wave. Companies like Microsoft need these kind of things for the shareholders.

Too many purple hair libs still left in gaming we need a massive wipe so we can go back to the men and women days . The quicker we remove all the woke devs. The quicker we go back to making quality good games without forced agendas.
Look at wolverine a perfect example and fable still has me worried.

@justchilliando There are other people in this world with a different sexual preference or way of life people like that represented in games is not a negative!
If you can't enjoy a game because of who a character is attracted to that's an awfully sad way to be in my opinion it shouldn't make a difference.
And the wolverine thing is nonsense there's nothing like that in the game
