by Rockstar Games has officially unveiled the GTA 6 launch trailer today, giving us just another small glimpse at what to expect from the biggest release of the Xbox Series X|S era (and quite possibly in gaming history!).
You can watch the full thing above, which doesn't really go into much story detail, but nevertheless shows off a beautiful-looking world that we already saw quite extensively as part of the GTA 6 Extended Preview last month.
That said, keep in mind that this is all captured on PS5 once again. The trailer even starts with an advert that expresses how GTA 6 "plays best on PS5", which surely isn't too popular with the folks at Xbox.
There's obviously a chance that Xbox may have their own version of the trailer to highlight in the near future, but this is the official version on the Rockstar Games YouTube channel, and one that's racking up millions of views already.
It would kinda make sense if Rockstar Games and Take-Two were prioritising the PS5 Pro version of GTA 6 to highlight in these snippets of gameplay, but it actually seems like they're using the base PS5 version for most of it.
The good news is that the Xbox Series X and PS5 are basically on-par with each other, meaning everything we've seen so far should look pretty much identical on Xbox's most powerful console. It's the Xbox Series S version that we're most intrigued by, as it seems like a tall ask to strip this game down for a lesser-powered system.
Anyway, we're almost there! GTA 6 launches on November 19th, which is literally just over a month away. It's been more than a decade, folks - it's not going to feel real to be playing a new Grand Theft Auto game in just a few weeks' time.
