Avowed is fun but the story and characters are pretty meh.. I hoped it was like a super fleshed out proof of concept for a bigger better sequel, but that didn't go super well for Outer Worlds imo. Outer Worlds 2 is basically just more of the same and the writing just hasn't grabbed me

It's kinda boring and lifeless. Maybe I'm just not far along enough or not in the right mood for it idk

This doesn't seem like it's for me. I guess I'm just more into the resident evil style of survival horror. I was looking forward to this but the enemy variety and combat don't seem up my alley

I tried to have fun with The Ascent but it was so buggy at launch and crashed constantly. Now I don't even have a way to play local co-op anymore. Sad face

@Kilamanjaro agreed. I've got limited time (many of us do nowadays) and a 40 hour game is the perfect length for an rpg imo

Not to mention that when a game is 100 hours long I end up burning out around 60 hours in anyway

I don't really get "excited" for games anymore, but I hope it's good. I've seen a lot of my favorite western RPG devs go to crap over the past few years so I'm hoping Obsidian isn't one of them

I kinda agree with this site's review for the game. Only having one weapon you can keep at a time, having to skulk around so much... The rewards for quests and exploration just weren't enough of a carrot on a stick for me either
