Talking Point: What Do You Want To See From Xbox In The Second Half Of The Year?

It's been a pretty wild six months for Xbox, right? We've had a lot of great Xbox Game Pass titles, a couple of shadow drops, the reveal of the ROG Xbox Ally handheld... the list goes on. It's felt a lot busier than the same period in 2024.

We're going to talk about your favourite games from the first half of 2025 over the weekend, but before we get there, we're keen to find out what you want from Xbox in the second half of the year - spanning July until the end of December.

There's plenty we already know about — again, we're talking the release of the Xbox ROG Ally along with multiple first-party titles such as The Outer Worlds 2 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 — but there's room for all sorts of surprises ahead of 2026. In the last two weeks alone, we've found out about the Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition and Xbox's next-gen console plans!

So, as we look ahead, there are a few things that come to mind. The first one is the 20th anniversary of the Xbox 360, which officially lands on November 22nd. Xbox surely has plans to celebrate such a milestone, and we're crossing our fingers it might have something to do with backwards compatibility. Imagine if they added a bunch of new 360 titles to the list?! That's probably wishful thinking (for this year at least), but it's not entirely impossible.

With the ROG Xbox Ally on the horizon, we're going to see Xbox putting a lot more focus on the PC side of things as well, with the first step being the integration of Steam and other launchers into the Xbox PC app. Beyond this, we're hoping to see a continued focus on building out the Xbox Play Anywhere catalogue ensuring that anyone who decides to pick up a PC or handheld in the future will get immediate access to a decent portion of their Xbox library.

There are so many other things on our wishlist as well though. More shadow drops, the return of the Xbox Game Pass Family and Friends plan, additional information about the next Xbox console, some fun announcements at Gamescom and The Game Awards, the return of Xbox Design Lab, a first look at the next Halo and Forza, and a whole lot more.

That's what we're hoping for, but what do you want to see from Xbox in the second half of the year? Tell us below.
