@StonyKL the game ain’t bad but gets tiresome rather quickly. I think if your playing with your mates over voice chat and some beers, it’ll be more fun.
I downloaded the app and was playing Doom Eternal and Forza Horizon 4 on my iPhone via the XBOX ONE X.
It’s awesome it works and very smoothly! Downside is going from playing on a 55inch 4K TV to a 6inch iPhone just doesn’t give a great experience. No fault of the service, just my own personal comments.
@JayJ couldn’t agree more and spending over £500 on a machine when the XBOX ONE X already delivers 4K gaming and will do for years to come, makes Microsoft’s new machine a hard sell.
@Menchi I bought my XBOX ONE X for Forza Horizon 4 and Red Dead Redemption 2, which I still play on to the day, and the 4K really made a difference on my 55inch 4K TV.
@mehrannaseer brilliant comments and people forget when you drop £70 on a digital game it’s worthless to anyone else, once you’ve finished it.
Example is Godfall, you buy Physical edition and after a month trade in for £30-£40, putting towards another game. On Digital, this simply doesn’t work
Whilst these videos are interesting, do people really mind that much about the initial loading times.
Take Red Dead Redemption 2, ok it’s over 1 min 36 seconds starting up on XBOX ONE X, compared to 36 seconds on Series X, but spending £450 on a new console needs to do more than this?
Seriously considering keeping my XBOX ONE X, as it’ll be supported for another 2 years. Unless I upgrade to the Series X (won’t fit inside my TV cabinet) the Series S feels like a downgrade from 4K 😢 I’m keen to see how XBOX ONE games run on Series S

@Krzzystuff was included in PS+ for a month and thereafter £16
Re: Gears Of War Creator Says He's Got Some Ideas For A 'Little' Game
Cliffs B is a legend and one of the reasons the XBOX 360 was a success with Gears of War.
Microsoft initially wanted only 256Mb of RAM for the system, but Cliffy pushed hard to champion 512Mb and the rest is history.

4K is simply ace!
Re: Talking Point: What Is The Worst Xbox Game You've Ever Played?
Not worse, but Bioshock 2 was not a patch on the Original.

Re: Microsoft Is Already Working On Future Xbox Series Iterations
@endlessleep I’d expect in 3 years the Series X in the same shape as S for £299, with a more Powerful XS to boot.
Re: Some Games Actually Load Faster On Xbox Series S, Says Phil Spencer
@BAMozzy playing Doom Eternal in 4K on my XBOX ONE X and never finding loading times that bad. Totally agree with your comments.
I’m defo looking forward to faster loading times.

Re: The Falconeer Dev 'Surprised By How Powerful The Xbox Series S Is'
Being an XBOX ONE X owner I’m keen to see comparisons of Series S and X, as I don’t have space for an X in my setup and S is perfect size.
I’m keen to see if Horizon 4 looks better on Series S than XBOX ONE X, as on XOX its quite possibly the best car game I’ve ever played

@BAMozzy you’ve sold it to me 👍🏻
Re: Video: This Is How Quickly The Xbox 360 Emulator Loads On Xbox Series X
@Tharsman I feel your pain and hope Microsoft can gift you a Series X, to ease your loading pains 😀👍🏻

@BlueOcean good observations @tharsman

@Darylb88 good comments and I’ve pre-ordered a Series S but feeling it’ll be a downgrade from ONE X 😢

Re: These 5 Games Are Coming To Xbox Game Pass Soon (Oct 1-8)
It’s less run and gun, with more puzzle and platform elements thrown in. But when the fighting begins its awesome and I prefer to Doom 2016.
On XBOX ONE X at 4K/60fps it’s insane and honestly will be hard to be topped even on Series X!
Re: These 5 Games Are Coming To Xbox Game Pass Soon (Oct 1-8)
Anyone with a XBOX ONE X should download Doom Eternal. In 4K 60fps you don’t need a Series X.
Different pacing from Doom 2016 but such a brilliant game! Time to RIP & TEAR
Re: DOOM Eternal Blasts Its Way To Xbox Game Pass In October
I’ve been playing on XBOX ONE X, with a 55inch 4K TV and Doom Eternal is hell on Earth!
Radically different to Doom 2016, with puzzles and platforms to overcome but an incredible FPS experience.
Who needs a Series X when you’ve got a ONE X 🙊
Re: Microsoft: Developers Won't Be Limited By The Xbox Series S
Brilliant article and makes perfect sense 👍🏻
Re: Xbox Series Pre-Order Supplies Will Be Limited, Warns Microsoft
Does anyone know how 1440p gaming works for people without TV’s that specifically support that NATIVE resolution?
Will it just say 4K in the machine settings and then downscale to 1440p?
Re: Xbox Series Pre-Order Supplies Will Be Limited, Warns Microsoft
@NotoriousWhiz you echo my comments exactly! I wonder how many customers are buying the S based on its size, as it’s a MAJOR factor for me.
Re: Xbox Series S Will Run Xbox One S Versions Of Backwards Compatible Games, With Improvements
@sixrings I share your thoughts as an XBOX ONE X owner.
The Series S still tempts me, but couldn’t go back to playing XBOX ONE X games in their S variants on the Series S! What would be the point?
Re: Guide: How Do Backwards Compatible Games Work On The Xbox Series S/X?
@AJDarkstar my TV is LG 55SK8000PLB and has a 120hz panel.
It feels like 120fps at 1440p might only be for people with PC monitors.
Re: Guide: How Do Backwards Compatible Games Work On The Xbox Series S/X?
@Dezzy70 sadly my TV is only HDMI 2.0 and will only go up to 4K 60fps, which my XBOX ONE X already supports..
I’m interested in 1440p 120fps on Series S, and if it’s achievable on a standard 4K TV with HDMI 2.0?
Re: Guide: How Do Backwards Compatible Games Work On The Xbox Series S/X?
As an XBOX ONE X owner looking to buy a Series S any thoughts?
Would games still look as good with better performance and any alternatives to converting disc games to digital?
Re: Microsoft Shares The Official Tech Specs For The Xbox Series S / X
@Z3u5000 good comments and as an XBOX ONE X owner, I’m now tempted to go for the Series S as the X is too big.
It’d be interesting to see if games like RDR2 could now run at 1440p 60fps on Series S.
Re: Microsoft Officially Reveals The Xbox Series S, £249 Confirmed
Anyone know if 1440p 120fps will work on 2.0 HDMI 4K TV?
