All that bellyaching and it turns out it has a disc anyway. Yet more outrage in the comments section over trivial things. That grass definitely needs to be touched.
@Green-Bandit be the giant everyone thinks you are. Embrace the evil empire mentality others will blame you for being. The evolution into Darth Vader has commenced and I'm here for it!
@Kaloudz shouldn't be that concerned if he didn't even make the trip out. I'm curious if he'll be shadowed out on his recording with the deep, masked voice like they do for witnesses who don't want to be identified lol
@Green-Bandit Pretty much. Did you see the required revenue splits needed to even get it on xbox? I'm sure other games require 80/20 instead of 70/30 as well. You wonder why MS want to own studios, so they dont have to put up with that overpaying nonsense. Forget the shoes, buy the whole shoe store.
@NEStalgia you arent limited. go to cdkeys thats where i get it every year. works great. i used to use bestbuy and while you are limited to 1 card per transaction you just needed to do the transaction and then do another one and you could continually get 3 month cards. CDKeys is the most convenient still because you can stack there.
@NEStalgia if you buy the 12 month sub, but monthly PS Premium is 17.99 where GPU is going to 16.99 monthly and includes day and date games. I wait for game pass ultimate on black friday every year anyway, and it costs 22-24 dollar for a 3 month so it's roughly $100 for a year, which i'll keep doing because that's a steal at that price IMO.
@Kaloudz and then you got the people trying to not sound hypocritical when they say it's different when sony/nintendo do it (even though its crazy that ps plus premium is STILL more expensive than game pass ultimate) and you got nintendo nickel and diming you with the same games every gen, along with locking content behind amiibo, but the same people are still in line day one. No integrity, lemme tell ya.
@Kaloudz Clearly Sony showed us that people will buy stuff no matter what the price increase is, and Nintendo nickel-and-dimes you with having to rebuy the same game over and over because they can't get back compat to work half the time.
Just hyperbole and conjecture in the comment section when in reality people are either overdramatic, hypocritical, or both.
@Kaloudz well come september i’ll be playing STARRRRRFIELLDDDDDD for hours on end, along with some Forza sprinkled in come october. Frankly, i wont give a d*mn!
@Kaloudz actually, in october, spencer said consoles and game pass will have to rise at some point, but not this holiday (which it didn’t). People acting brand new around here when he clearly stated what would happen.
There’s a reason they are doing it BEFORE they acquire ABK and not AFTER. This way they can’t say they raised it due to the acquisition, and everyone will forget about it when the big games start dropping. I mean, the competition has taught us that raising prices is ok and people will pay whatever is needed to play popular games. Don’t hate the player, hate the game.
@NEStalgia The day VR catches on bigtime is the day you change that avatar of yours to Zelda 2 which, IMO, is the most underrated Zelda game of all time. sigh that'll be the day ...
@NEStalgia I don't mean designer sunglasses, I mean like a good pair of Under Armour's for $100-200 bucks. When VR becomes that small, comfortable, functional, and inexpensive then it will see an increase in market. Problem is, it won't see that type of form factor/price anywhere close in the next 10 years at least IMO. We're talking way into the future. Traditional ways of gaming is still king and will be for quite some time.
Not surprising, and I'm glad their focus is set elsewhere. VR hardware sales declined 70% from last year. The fact of the matter is most people don't wanna drop hundreds and hundreds of dollars on a headset you have to strap on your face to play a few games that might be worth the investment. Not to mention if there is motion sickness for some. I'd rather just pick up a controller and sit in front of my OLED. Until it's a pair of sunglasses that costs roughly the price of those sunglasses it just isn't going to take off.
As long as this is a smaller, more streamlined experience instead of the last few (which i thought looked bloated and way longer than they needed to be) then I may have to jump in.
@Cashews I've beaten 13 multiple times and honestly i REALLY enjoy it. IT gets a lot of hate (mainly the story is confusing with fal'ci, l'cie ect and the stunting of leveling in the crystal grid until later in the game) but overall 13 is a good game imo. 15 didn't do it for me, however.
Looks good and I'll definitely play it ... so long as it isn't as long as a traditional persona game. 100hr campaigns are just too much for me these days.
@Cashews I believe SE is always disappointed with sales, which is weird. and I couldn't believe the low sales of octo2 even being multiplat now. But imagine if a game like the new persona, tales, or final fantasy mainline game were not just day 1 or even on game pass, but exclusive to xbox/pc. There would be a collective outrage I have no doubt. Just would be curious to see how it all played out, but I don't even want those games exclusive but day 1 on the platform along with others.
@Tharsman the funny thing is people say they need to get some big exclusive japanese titles to bring xbox up to speed in japan but those same people would complain to no end how xbox is "locking a beloved franchise" behind the xbox ecosystem and how said studio/company would be slapping their loyal fans in the face or something like that. Hell, i've seen it on this site when there was a slight possibility that the persona games could have exclusivity tied to it.
This will be a 10 year game for sure. People will be playing/talking about this game for the next decade. The amount of stuff to do appears to be incredible.
This showcase definitely didn't sell me on a Playstation 5, and with the dearth of multiplats i saw at that show I know i'll be fed on my xbox. I can revisit the ps5 conversation next year but i certainly wasn't sold on playstations upcoming slate.
I'm glad that Microsoft is able to give us these showcases to show upcoming games, drop games on the regular this year, and also expand the portfolio of xbox with acquisitions all that the same time. Keep it up, Phil!
@Kaloudz I miss those. JRPGs, specifically, I look for those books but they just dont make em. Everything is an online guide, now. I like what Dark Horse does with that hardcover ones (BOTW was the last one i got) but those are few and far between these days.
@EvilSilentFrame Correct, because that would devalue COD and the brand of their ecosystem, hence why they keep minecraft up to snuff on all platforms. Since they are so versed in making console/pc/cloud moving forward and have been since all games started going day and date on PC they aren't going to jeopardize that.
@blockfight that's been me since you could install games on the 360. I have at max 3 games installed at a time, and one is usually a preload from game pass. I play 1 game at a time, uninstall, and move on. Have never needed even the full 500gb much less 1TB.
@Kaloudz Yes. One thing i remember Sakaguchi saying "heard it in an interview long ago" is that Final Fantasy is meant to be beaten, so even if you don't know the systems all that well, if you grind youll be come powerful enough over time to just brute force your way around the game, essentially creating your own difficulty. You'll see those notorious "level 1" playthroughs on older FFs where they dont gain any levels and just try to make it as difficult as possible. I personally love standard level in games like that where you create your own challenge, or can become a god if you so choose by simply putting in the time.
@Kaloudz The absolute best thing about that era of JRPGS (specifically Square ones) is that they arent the 70 hours slogs that alot of jrpgs are today. I think that is just too long and much prefer the 25-30 or so hours it takes for those types of games.
I can usually do most stuff on FF 4 and 6 in 20 or so, so perfect length IMO but since you wont know those games inside and out id bet more on the 25-35 range depending your speed.
@Kaloudz i would wait for the switch port honestly, which it looks like it will be releasing VERY soon. I dont think touch controls on a phone would do it justice. Dont think it has controller support. 4 and 6 are the two ill spend the most time with. Those games are timeless.

What's wrong with organic growth, Jim? This is as organic as it gets.
