@CaptainCluck game pass was the reason most of those studios were able to release games in the first place. Game pass made 5B in revenue in the fiscal year 25 and was actually subsidizing other parts of the business because it was bringing in a ton of cash. The increase to $30 is what screwed them, not the concept itself.

So no, game pass was not losing money for xbox, it was helping it, and if you look at the articles that break it down recently you would see that ...

I've loved my time in game pass and actually found some games i wouldn't have bought otherwise and LOVED them. With the 1st party output from XBOX finally hitting a good peak my only problem is finding the time ...

Checked out the gameplay later yesterday and this looks insane. Did not expect to be as hyped as i am. This could very well be GOTY based on early impressions.

@Banjo- Exactly. I've had no remorse for not getting a PS5 this gen (I've owned all ps hardware prior to 2020) and aside from that Zelda OoT remake i dont care for a switch either. Xbox has so many games now that couples with the Rog Xbox Ally is all i need these days.

@Banjo- Thankfully games like Earth defense force, TouHou, and Muramasa I have NO interest in and are such niche titles i can see why those are skipping. I still have hope for Stellar blade and thankfully Square Enix (who is my most import JRPG studio) has 100% shown now every game is multiplat as KH, Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest ect are all day one.

We've come a long way from 10 years ago all those plus Yakuza, Tales series ect ALWAYS skipping xbox.

@Banjo- in theory, yes. I'm a final fantasy legacy dude from the original in 1990 so im all over this!

I've owned 1 special edition console ever, the batman arkham knight silver ps4. Ive since only been gaming on series x and rog xbox ally this gen (switch doesnt have much for me any more and ps5 I havent needed it for the few games i might wanna play) so ill probably end up getting this. Gonna have the wife get it for me for christmas!

I exclusively never use quick resume, ever. I think with how fast games load up ect i just completely shut the game down every time and restart it as normal every time.

Never would trust it to work.

@HonestHick it's crazy too that even tho OLED is pricey as hell, it's come way down over the years.

I still have my 55" LG E6 OLED from 2016 (back when OLED was pretty new) and I remember that thing costing around $2300. My 65" in 2019 was like 1500-1700.

@carlos82 and i COMPLETELY forgot about that rumored OoT Remake too. If that releases Nov/Dec then yeah Fable wouldnt have had anywhere to drop, really.

@carlos82 im not a GTA dude myself, either. I wont be playing GTA 6 this year but looks like during the holidays i can get caught up on 007, lego batman, pragmata, RE Requiem ect. Gonna be a backlog holidays.

So glad i was able to get the Series X and the Xbox Ally on launch days. I had a steam deck at one point but traded it for the functionality and flexibility of the Xbox ally.

Those two systems, along with game pass, are keeping me fed for a LONG time.

Already been playing this more than any of the other games. I feel like progression is great with the wristband and discover japan two sides of the same coin.

Gonna get all the treasure cars and barn finds too. My BMW M2 Competition Coupe is probably my favorite care so far. That and my Lancer Evo VIII MR.

People are LOVING this game and the concurrent players is HUGE. Playground really is becoming one of the best devs in the industry, especially if they can pull of Fable.

I'm not a GTA 6 fan but i know it'll do numbers. Forza 6, FF7Rebirth, Lego Batman, Gears E-Day and Fable are gonna take up all my time until the end of the year ...

Man I love that it's play anywhere, such a great service for Xbox players.

I have so much to play though so ill wait for a sale.

@themightyant I suppose i should specify, for play anywhere i meant in general, not necessarily this game. I hope next gen there are a lot more play anywhere titles because i LOVE having that between the console and the handheld.
