Re: Xbox Racks Up 2M Views With Comment That Appears To Address Mixtape's Review Backlash

Played the game and loved it. Grew up in the 80s and 90s so this one spoke to me.

A lot of people who have a problem with it are probably tweens or people who just hate on everything.

If you don't agree with a review just remember it's an opinion, nothing more. Believe it or not everything isn't some grand conspiracy. Like it or don't, people need to say their schtick and move along.

Re: Talking Point: Amidst PS6 Uncertainty, Do You Think Xbox Has Project Helix All Figured Out?

@IOI That's interesting because i've been hearing "xbox is dead, xbox is doomed, xbox is getting out of gaming" since the 360 days, so i guess we hear what we wanna hear.

Closing studios and laying people off also isnt an xbox problem, its a nationwide problem.

What Microsoft's money HAS gotten them is roughly 30 studios to make tons of games every year and either buy them or put them in game pass and save me a lot of money while also playing those games on PC and cloud with play anywhere.

When the other two platforms decide to do that ill jump in but with rising costs all over and forcing me to buy a plastic box and drop $60-$70 for each game (when there's maybe 1 a year i'd actually play) I dont see that as sustainable.

@themightyant that bungie impairment is a huge sign of whats it store for bungie to come, i dont think they are long for this world. This quarter also doesnt have the majority of it during the huge price increase of the ps5, which will pop up on the next one. So i'm very curious to see what that one looks like.

Let's see what those YoY numbers look like when we see this next quarter with those huge price increases. They also need to have a more consistent release of games because the 1-2 big games a year on top of underwhelming live service wont cut it.

They'll get a bump again for GTA6 I'm sure but they need to figure out what they'll do moving forward if they are gonna navigate these insane console prices without having the avenues from other revenue sources on top of fewer game releases.

I can't predict the future but i just havent been impressed with the way forward over there on team blue, just simply not impressed.

Considering the financials that we just saw from Sony, with failures at every level of live service and the huge console price increase, i dont see how they stay away from putting ALL their games on PC, and sooner. With the limited pipeline they have and now a huge reduction in console sales YoY, they need other lines of revenue.

Nintendo just announced a price hike as well and with them not even sniffing PC and no big Mario or Zelda coming soon things arent so rosey over there either.

At least with MS and their wealth of live service games, tons of studios to have a big output, and branching out into PC day and date and Cloud growing they have multiple avenues to go at, not putting all their eggs in one basket.

The games, studios, and multiple pathways is what gives them an edge IMO.

Re: Xbox Is Officially 'Reevaluating' What To Do About Exclusivity

@IronCrow86 yup. should see how they championed PS supposedly "pulling away" from PC (which we haven't even heard anything official yet) but have the opposite mouth-breathing with this news.

Personally, I don't know how much will change (especially for titles this year since I'm sure that's set in stone) but the future who knows. Doesn't bother me either way since I almost exclusively play on XBOX so i get the games either way.

The discourse it definitely amusing, none-the-less.

Re: 'Xbox Game Pass Flex' Is An April Fools' Joke, But Could It Actually Happen One Day?

J_Mo_Money

Leave it up to those select few to not realize that its April 1st. Heck, even if it was true the meltdowns and hyperbole associated with it would give me quite a chuckle.

I remember growing up and actually having to watch commercials, I think a lot of younger gamers dont realize how easy they have it these days with accessibility, online play, and the dearth of content available both game wise and movie wise.

Re: Xbox Games Showcase Announced For June 2026, Featuring Gears Of War: E-Day Direct

J_Mo_Money

This makes sense that this would be the deep dive. People saying it's not Fable, Fable had a deep dive at the developer direct so it can't be that one again, and Gears wasn't even there. This also cements that this will release this year since they've been doing that now where they do deep dive - release same year.

Man they really are going to be able to get Forza, Halo, Gears, and Fable all out in one year (25th ann.)

Crazy!

Re: Sony Announces Major PS5 Price Hikes, Here's How They Compare To Xbox Series X|S

J_Mo_Money

@Llamageddon You gotta remember people who waited this long also arent the hardcore and dont care about the best of the best. The console market is mostly casual, and if they see a $399 console and a $599 console to play the same thing? Most people won't care. College Football 25 was also huge boon for series s because it was the cheapest way to play that game and it showed.

We shall see though!

Re: Xbox Partner Preview Event Announced For March 2026

J_Mo_Money

@somnambulance its not just those, they announced world premiers and game pass announcements on Twitter as well, so there will be plenty. Honestly once April hits there are just so many games and I'm really looking forward to Aphelion, Replaced, Mixtape, and Forza Horizon 6 in the next few months!
