@Stocksy whos "sleeping on them" redfall has a release date, starfield will be out this year, there's plenty of other games in the works. Wtf are you talking about, games as big as starfield take time to do right. Stop acting so entitled. The entire industry has been slowed down the last few years thanks to the democrats worthless COVID policies fcking the whole economy up. Sony hasn't been putting anything out either, what is your basis for comparison.

And Sony is doing everything they can to try and stop us from getting even better gamepass selection by lying about the activision deal to the federal trade communists. The industry leader, scared of a little competition. So let me get this straight, Sony is allowed to copy everything Xbox does that would otherwise set Xbox far apart from playstation to remain on par feature wise but Xbox isn't allowed to do the only thing they can do that Sony can't simply steal and put on playstation. Why is Sony so protected in the industry. Even the activision deal likely won't dethrone them.

@Kaloudz it's no risk otherwise I'd have been busted years ago. Ive been using this trick since most of last gen, probably done it 50 times and no issues. The only problem is they might decide to fix the loophole eventually.

Ive been doing this for years for games that release based on time zone. Now it's probably going to get fixed cause so many people are doing it now. Hopefully MS just doesn't care about it. Games should release same instant world wide anyway.

Already played most of this crap, even if I hadn't it's not worth a subscription payment. Only way it's worthwhile is if it's part of gamepass and even then I probably wouldn't play any of them. This ***** is gonna bomb. It even makes ps+ look good

Interesting how cdpr can get the series x running properly but striking distance can't get ray tracing working right on the callisto protocol yet it somehow works perfectly on the weaker PS5. And it just so happens Sony has paid for marketing rights and had developers helping with the game. Hmmm... coincidence? Doubt it. Let's not forget too that Sony literally pays to keep games off of gamepass

Anyone that doesn't do the rewards points doesn't realize how easy it is. It takes me about 3-4 min a day to do all the daily ones and I get 4-5 100$ gift cards a year. It's well worth it. I don't even do all the game related gamepass ones unless it's something I was planning on playing.

High on life looks pretty cool, hope it's not one of those games that looks good in a demo but isn't fun to play. In any case as far upcoming games I couldn't be more excited for the callisto protocol. Been waiting for that since it was revealed at the game awards 2020.

Still waiting for the Hanks/Spielberg WW2 miniseries masters of the air to get a release date. It was supposed to be late 2022 but that's obviously not happening now. In any case if this is true I'll use my free month towards that. Band of brothers and the Pacific are fantastic and Im sure masters of the air will be too. Been waiting for that show since like 2016 when info started coming out, never would have thought it would be 6+ year years away.

As long as it's optional I'm fine with it, I'll probably rarely if ever use it but by all means go ahead. When the Xbox is in idle you can do whatever you want with it to make it draw less power. Having said all that the pretentious self righteous idea that we can halt climate change by doing piddly sh*t like this and driving electric cars which have to charge from somewhere like coal power plants since the Dems don't like nuclear power, is completely laughable. Especially when the ones barking all the orders down to us are by far the biggest polluters flying around the country on jets that put out more pollution in an hour that I do all year. @Dezzy70 what does Sony have that's so great this gen. Until tomorrow (Ragnarok) my PS5 has one game worth playing and it's a remake. That argument held water last gen when they did have more and better but now I personally wouldn't trade Xbox's exclusives that are out now for sonys nevermind the massive lineup coming in the next years. It's basically the god of war station at this point. Xbox is better in almost every way even now, God help Sony next year especially if/when A/B goes through. All Sony does is copies Xbox features and business direction, they do nothing new on their own and Sony fans praise them for it. Without their brand loyalty they'd have sh*t. Gamepass alone makes Xbox vastly Superior

These things would be cool if it wasn't powered by a f USB cable. The manual even says not meant to be left plugged in for long term use.

@ThatMusicFan PlayStation has precisely d*ck worth playing other than demons souls and god of war whenever it comes out. MS is bad at getting games out on time but their future lineup absolutely demolishes PlayStation nevermind all the third partys coming to gamepass that ps owners will have to shell out for. It's far and away the better platform now and Sony must think so too considering they copy everything Xbox does that would otherwise set Xbox far apart from PlayStation. It must be frustrating for the Xbox team to have Sony steal everything they come up with while they sit back riding the coat tails of their devs and doing almost nothing new on their own.

@Zochmenos @InterceptorAlpha those are all MS exclusives, none of them will come to PS or Nintendo, not sure where you're getting that they'll come to other platforms

@pepsilover2008 that would be nice just to have, I probably wouldnt use it much but it would be cool for games you're not playing at the moment and intend to go back to eventually or maybe aren't visually good enough to utilize the new gen features. But I agree

Nice feature but can we please finally get some improvements to the achievement system. At the very very least give us a 100% completed games page. The Ultimate goal.of earning achievements is getting them all for a game so why is there not a dedicated page to view and show off your completions. Even the 360 had one. The only way to see someone's completions is to scroll through their entire list of games which In some cases such as mine is a LOT of games. Seems like an obvious thing to have not sure why there isn't one.

Fairly useful. I'll take it. Still waiting for improvements or even an overhaul to the achievement system. There needs to be more than just the points to show what type of gamer you are. All a high gamer score shows me is this person likely spent a ton of time playing really generic and easy shovelware and I'm usually right when I look at their games. We need badges or something for completing games but 3 or 4 different tiers based on difficulty that way the guys with lower gamer scores who have a lot of time on really hard games will stick out of the crowd and the bottom feeders with huge gamer score full of easy games will be shown for what they are. Something needs to change. At the very least give us a dedicated 100% completed games page where all your completions are shown. And btw I say this as someone with a fairly sizable GS, it's just not full of shovelware

@Gamer83 state of play isnt really a show in the same sense though, it's just sort of a teaser highlight reel. I never expect much from those. These big publisher shows are where it's at and MS sits high on the top tier now as far as interest from core gamers and second place isn't even close. Even Sony fans who hate Xbox watch it.

Obviously starfield and redfall gameplay. Maybe some atomic heart, darktide, scorn, Somerville, Wolfenstein, avowed, new doom teaser, Marcus Fenix collection (the worst kept secret), Forza, hellblade 2, maybe the last night might finally appear again with a release date. I'm sure we'll get updates and teasers from a bunch of their studios even if no release dates, and of course they'll have 3rd party showings too like always as well as some unknown surprises no doubt. Would be cool if they featured a longer gameplay segment from the Callisto protocol even though it was already on sonys state of play. That's the game I care about above all others for this year. Would be cool if it was a surprise day one gamepass release since pubg was on gamepass. That's the only Reason I suggest that even if not super likely. I'll still buy it regardless. It'll be a good show, MS has been good for the last few years since they started focusing on games back to back

Is this just an interactive art show or will there be a compelling gameplay loop. I really hope there's more to this than what it looks like but I'll still play it just for the amazing visuals. I have a bad feeling they just wanted to make a game with this HR giger style environment but didn't what else it was about or how to provide an interesting gameplay experience and maybe just threw some monsters and simple puzzles in. I really hope I'm wrong though cause the visuals are really nice looking at least in the video demo.

@BAMozzy didn't think about deathloop good point but you did forget about atomic heart on gamepass which looks awesome. I hope you're right about avowed and hellblade but I really think those are still further out in 2023

@Dezzy70 they will man, ***** got held up a lot but once they start coming they'll keep coming at a good pace I have faith. I mean how many damn studios do they have now nevermind after the Activision blizzard deal goes through. In any case there's still a few coming this year that arent on PlayStation like dark tide, scorn and hopefully Somerville will make it out this summer and I have a feeling there will at least be more smaller titles announced that get released this year. It'll give you time to save for 23 cause damn near everything got delayed to 2023 and there's should be loads. I Know stalker 2 still says December but that ***** will be 2023 as well guaranteed

Was really hoping Microsoft would connect with striking distance and promote the Callisto protocol but looks like Sony got to it first. That's the game I'm by far the most excited for even more than games coming years out. Sci-horror is so rare now, alien isolation in 2014 and prey was the last sci horror AAA games that I can even think of and there's like 3 or 4 coming within months of each other this year into 23 starting with dark tide, then scorn followed by the Callisto protocol and then dead space remake in Jan. Couldn't be happier about that..maybe even system shock remake soon too and outlast trials which is just straight horror

@Kooky_Daisuke dark tide, scorn, Somerville and there will likely be more. Those arent first party but they are console exclusive at least for now. In any case there's other good games coming this year some even for gamepass. Does it matter if they're exclusive..atomic heart-gamepass and looks awesome, the Callisto protocol looks f amazing I'm so excited for that game, Gotham knoghts. And again im sure there will be more.

@Richnj logical comment in a sea of illogic. Your comment is a good explanation of why having some newer upgraded premium consoles in a couple years is perfectly fine. Does last year's phone you just bought still work fine if they make a newer one? Of course, this is no different, at least with Xbox since they're trying to get around the generation thing. I believe the "mid gens" this time will be a super premium version probably in the 6-800$ range for people like me that want the best version possible and will gladly pay for it even though I have a perfectly fine series x. I think the feeling with some people is that they either can't afford another one or don't want to pay for another one therefore they don't want it to exist for anyone else to enjoy if they can't or won't get it. If not that I don't know why anyone would be against it. Doesn't matter anyway because it's happening you can pretty much bet on it and I'll be there day one like I've been with every significant new Xbox model since the 360

They aren't needed like they were last gen which is why I think they're going to be super premium at like 700-800$ for people like me who will buy them. For those that don't care the s/x will hold out fine all gen unlike xbone/ps4. But don't doubt that they'll sell. I guarantee you pre orders will sell out like always no matter what they are. The thing is Sony is making a pro so Xbox has to as well, they can't let Sony take the power crown even if a mid gen isn't necessary. I'm all for it, when it comes to Xbox I'll buy a new better one every few years if that's what they offer. 500$ is half of what most phones cost and I get far more out of a game console than a phone so why not.

I'm hoping this becomes a thing more often. I know the Callisto protocol was supposed to be new gen and PC only but I've heard recently there will be a last gen version. I really hope it's a port down instead of the same build otherwise they'll hold back what could be the game that sets a new bar for visuals and atmosphere simply based on their past work and how much talent striking distance has. Can't wait for that game, sci horror is so f rare now especially on console in AAA form. Alien isolation is really the last big sci horror game and that was 2014.

@Dezzy70 not worth it, it wouldn't save much. Those drives are like 15-20$ if that. The only reason the PS5 digital is 100$ less is because they had to eat some money to compete with the lower prices series s..that's THE reason it exists to begin with. A discless SX just doesn't make a lot of sense especially with rumors of mid gens already going around. Theyre gonna be beasts too, like 700$ consoles. Would be dumb if they didn't go big with them considering the s and x will hold out fine all gen for lower cost customers. Might as well go real premium. It'll sell all day guaranteed. I know I'll buy one.

@GuyinPA75 only posers and casuals look past indie games, big budgets doesnt automatically mean good games. Most AAA's these days are crap for the same reasons, trying to appeal to the casuals who need their hand held and cry if a game is too hard or confusing. That and they're always the same tired formula because they're too expensive to take risks on and as a result 90% of open worlds use the generic uninspired ubisoft formula. A lot of indies ARE pure shovelware I will admit but a lot are interesting new concepts and enjoyable to anyone who can see past high dollar productions. Some of the best surprises I've had on gamepass have been indie games I likely wouldn't have played otherwise. It's not like there's any new AAA's out right now worth playing anyway so not sure what the big complaint is.

@NeoRatt tell Sony your story and if they listen then Xbox can listen. Until then if Sony locks ***** down so should MS, it's as simple as that. Im not interested in what gamers that are only on PlayStation want or don't want. Do you think if Sony had the deep pockets MS does that they would be putting their new acquisitions on Xbox, hell no they wouldn't

@sjbsixpack ps exclusives were on another level. All they have this gen that's worth a piss is a remake of a PS3 game and of course god of war whenever it comes out. I seriously don't see what is so great on PlayStation recently. Xbox hasn't had much either but I wouldn't trade my Xbox exclusives for PlayStations and I certainly wouldn't trade xbox's upcoming exclusives for theirs. Whenever these devs get their ***** together and start getting their games out it's not even going to be close anymore at least imo. And no horizon forbidden west is trash, just like zero dawn was. Those games are just glorified Ubisoft clones

@armondo36 no, I would argue every company seems to think they HAVE to make an open world now with generic cut n paste checklist filler and looting/crafting mechanics . I'll take souls like over more of that every time. Souls likes are still rare compared to those.

Stoked for darktide, atomic heart, interested in seeing what's up with scorn even though it could possibly suck, then there's indie games that might come this summer on GP such as Somerville, replaced and supposedly the last night might finally come out this year. All three look awesome. Nevermind games like this that they'll sneak in last minute that we've never heard about. Extremely unlikely stalker 2 comes out this year unfortunately, game looked cool .

@armondo36 better another souls like than another generic open world inspired by ubisofts lazy design which is most of them these days. Even a budget indie souls like is better imo. There's a few genres I don't get tired of as long as they don't go too far off the genre path. Souls likes, metroidvania and AAA Sci-Horror as rare as it is now. So stoked for the Callisto protocol. Would be cool if it dropped on gamepass since pubg was on there

@Alduin A:I is one of the best games of all time. it's a shame we got fireteam instead of A:I 2 but I have a bad feeling we won't be getting an isolation sequel. That's how it is when a good game gets made, it gets ***** reviews from hacks like Ryan McCaffrey of ign and then doesn't sell well and never gets a sequel.

Please don't f copy Sony. Sony is the one who copies Xbox including them stealing achievements. There's so many better things they could do than add a stupid platinum trophy. At least call it something different like a completion achievement or something. It would be better to have a badge of some type specific to each game that you can display on your own completion page almost like collector badges (completion achievements). But even better give them one of 3 or 4 values based on the games completion difficulty, a sort of bronze through platinum thing but something different than sony like green, blue, purple, orange, the colors of weapon tiers in games. This would show who the real HC completionists are with one look at their profile, the ones who complete hard games (gears, Halo, dark souls etc.) and who the bottom feeders are, the ones who play nothing but easy shovelware to pad their gamerscore. This would be so much better than a stupid platinum trophy. This would also take away the now pointless meta dick measuring contest people are in to have the highest gamerscore which has been ruined with all the easy shovelware this last gen. I'm not playing that garbage to keep up with these clowns. Instead the guy with the most high value completions, purple, orange ( gold platinum, whatever) is the top dog regardless of what his gamerscore is and the guy with nothing but greens (bronze completions) is shown for the bottom feeder he is. To me a guy with a sub 100k gs full of hard completions is way more impressive than a dude with 600k worth of garbage games and this is coming from someone with 400k of mostly quality games thankfully. Either that or give us a dedicated completion page like we had on the 360 that shows all our completed games that anyone viewing our profile can see.

@InterceptorAlpha they're in a worse state than the originals, how do you mean? They certainly look vastly better than the originals, they run much smoother, the gameplay mechanics feel better, lighting looks amazing for such old games. Are you talking bugs or something? I havnt really seen any myself, just being honest. Aside from the fact that these games weren't visually enhanced to the degree we were all hoping for, I don't see where all the disappoinment is coming from unless people just forgot how clunky these 20+ year old games really were to begin with

I think the game is fine for what it is. Havnt really had any problems. Having said that, what we got wasn't really what I was hoping for, really wished it was visually improved more than it was but to be fair if you compare them to the originals you'll see they are actually quite an improvement, it's just hard to tell when you're used to playing all these new gen games. I really hope we get a gta 4 remaster too but with better visual improvements.

I'm surprised it hasn't been added yet, hopefully gets added with upgrades for SX. They need to add Riddick too already.
