Re: Xbox Exec: Diversity Of Content Is What Makes Game Pass So Valuable

Dezzy70

@Fenbops
That’s your opinion and fair enough.
Must admit it took me three attempts to get into breath of the wild, then on the third attempt when the dlc came out added items and made the whole exploration part better it finally clicked.

Then it became amazing to me, more than HFW, any Assassin creed etc etc open world games.
Once it did I completed all shrines the whole game and dlc, not 100% though.

Totally agree the Xbox360 days and with that buzzer quiz game and Kinect was family fun.
That’s why most of this weekend as been spent with Mario Kart family time fun.
Even in the PS5 you can still play power is knowledge etc linked to your mobile, some good family and friends fun.

Re: Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Delayed Until February 2024

I’m putting a lot of these game delays down to hybrid working since covid that seems to be fashionable and the latest trend.
We have it work and yes on the odd occasion it is ok. But when you have departments and teams doing 3 days at home and 2 at work at all different days of the weeks and months it is a right pain in the arse to do something’s.
And I generally feel it creates less efficiency overall both individual and as a team.

Will be interesting to see if they pick up a bit after the ABK deal as nothing they have done so far with recent purchases has improved their position at all.
They just don’t seem to manage their gaming division correctly at the moment.
Perhaps the competition is just to dam good for them.

They need games that capture the general public imagination and need to get some momentum and become the in gaming console, unfortunately not much has changed since the Xbox one days on that front. Totally different from the Xbox360 days when they started to have a winning formula.
I actually right now preferred the Xbox one days so far.

If game pass was that great more consoles would sell. The fact is most are buying the more expensive PS5 and a lot weaker and very old Nintendo Switch, and are happy to pay for new games as they are released, two gaming companies that have established IPs, a trendy gaming image and great PR.
Xbox just brings up the geeky rear of the sales, has low third party game sales and zero games that get the general public wanting an Xbox.

And now their tactic is to buy up big developers like Bethesda and ABK to capture software and control it, basically trying gain control.

Had every Xbox since day one and this series x generation so far has been the absolute worse hands down games wise for me.

They can’t even release a game Redfall with a 60fps option for the series x, what a dumb arse company Microsoft are.

At this point and being truthfully honest I wish they would sell all their developers or let them go freelance and piss off out of the games market altogether.

At that’s coming from an every Xbox day one owner since day one. They nearly lost me at Halo Infinite and last year, but they lost me early this year. Especially after the Redfall 60fps thing.
They couldn’t manage a piss up in a brewery and don’t deserve my decades of loyalty no more.

@GamingFan4Lyf
Yes but if you sell more Xbox console units.
Say they like 120 million this generation then you can get more game pass subscriptions.
One leads to the other.
Don’t forget on all systems total there is only about I think 25 million Gamepass subscribers and I can’t see that increasing to much at the moment.

@StrawberryWave
Yes it would not be great but I can see something like that happening with Xbox in the future.
They seem to have lost most brand recognition and what good game reputation they had.
With console sales going down each month so far as 2023 goes by, remembering they were not that great to start with. Third party games not selling well on Xbox.
Things don’t look great and surly can’t stay as is for to long.

Re: Xbox Players Encouraged To Change Multiple Settings In Ghostwire: Tokyo

Dezzy70

Yep and all this doesn’t help.
As world wide and in the UK sales continue to be way behind the competition and month on month get lower and lower console wise. ie
Jan to feb to March 2023.

Third parties don’t care much about Xbox
Resident Evil 4 remake total sales percentage disc and digital 15% on Xbox. We can’t blame them.

Not that I want this to happen but I have that feeling that Xbox is going now where really this generation. Hope I’m wrong, but they need to deliver and create games that get everyone on board like the competition do.

Gamepass not doing that well considering it’s all devices sales. And if Gamepass was that a wow factor consoles would be selling miles better.
Not getting less and less each month in 2023.

This isn’t a new generation for Xbox it’s a slow tired worn out generation for Xbox.
Lifeless and soulless game wise.

Obviously chip shortage is definitely still a thing even after all this time.
At work we still have trouble getting electronic parts and a wait for a new car in the UK is still about 6 to 9 months.
The world has become semi conductor joke and backlog of orders is still bad.

Off subject but it makes my Xbox brain hurt.
Only Xbox could manage to virtually zero its stock of series x solo consoles in the UK over the 4 day Easter holiday period across nearly every big store.
Even daft as Sony is they managed to good pretty good solo disc PS5 consoles in stock in time.
Of course there are a very good variety of switches in stock for over Easter holidays.
Beginning to wonder if Microsoft have some sales mental illness at the moment.

Being honest and not against Jim and not being a big head myself.
But off the back of the PS4 and what Sony studios had in development anyway who the hell could have not made money for Sony PlayStation since Jim’s been in power and the Covid thing and shortages made people want them more.
Now the next 4 to 5 years we shall see if Jim is any good or not.
PSVR2 not going great, probably only spider man 2 and a couple of third party exclusives deals this year for Sony. Forspoken flopped really. Not that great now.
