Re: Microsoft Offers ActiBlizz Remedies To EU, Deadline Pushed Back Yet Again

Dezzy70

@NEStalgia
I say it as it is in real life.
Also live from the shop shelves and up to date 😆

That’s why since I’ve been doing the shop shelves and review counts things I have started to disbelieve these analysts sales figures each week and month, they don’t seem to tally up to me.

Anyway it won’t be long now in the UK and it will start to get to the 6 month quiet period as the summer approaches. I think now stock is relatively good overall the buying habits will be seasonal this year in the UK.

Re: UK CMA Documents Reveal Six Companies In Favour Of Xbox ActiBlizz Acquisition

@Sakai
I think you missing my point, I have all three consoles. Yes the UK is one of Xbox better markets. But worldwide it’s getting further behind now. Month after month. And will stay third place and my prediction will sell less consoles worldwide this year 2023 than it did 2022 and gain less Game pass subscribers than year 2022.

See I have series x but I know Xbox will always be behind and I’m cool with that.
They only hope is buy buy buy studios and that is what they are doing, so who knows maybe one day.

Slightly off subject but just watched a little documentary on USA Company FORD.
I drive a Ford car.
Basically how they are slowly going down in the European/UK market over the years and what they are trying to do now moving forward.

The biggest thing and related to Xbox, USA Company, is that Ford believe now, what works well for the USA market they seem to believe will work for Europe/UK etc.
Which it won’t for good reasons and sales are now definitely showing this.

My connection, I believe that it is what Microsoft believe with Xbox and the whole Gamepass approach and not selling many consoles at all in Europe/UK or not bothered. Is they believe what works well in the USA, which is where xbox is doing slightly ok or it’s best area, will work in Europe/UK.

I know a different industry but both USA companies and what I think, they believe what works or will work in the USA works in other countries.

It’s something to do with how some USA businesses normally big ones end up internally believing this. Which normal ends in trouble.

They gave other examples like General Motors etc that believed the same thing and they had to get government bale out etc.

Re: Redfall Story Trailer Introduces Arkane's Vampiric World To Xbox Game Pass Players

@Westernwolf4
Have played most of if not all the Arkane games and good times.
I think time moves on, so expectations move up as well, and it all sort of seems familiar basic sort of thing. The vampire part seems great, like vampires.
We shall see not long to wait until May.
At least if Redfall doesn’t do it for me in May I have BOTW2 as well. Then again that is covered in a mystery of doubt a little bit as well.

Re: Stalker 2 Hack Forces Dev To Warn Fans Of Potential 'Outdated' Leaks

We at work have certain important systems with data kept on internal private networks. So they work just on internal infrastructure with no outside internet just internal IPN.
Separate from email etc and no connection with the outside internet.

I guess it’s too hard for game developers to invest in this or undertake this. As bits of game development come in out of the IT systems from different sub contracted developers helping with the game etc and I guess all that working from home stuff.

Re: Six Things We're Hoping For From Bethesda's Starfield Direct Showcase

Nowadays I find 30fps to blurry and not smooth enough when moving and panning around the environment.
I play 60fps for every thing now with VRR on and it looks far better and smoother and less blurry.
I take a slight hit in resolution sometimes but the 60fps butter smooth and better panning visual quality wins easy.

Re: PSA: A New Free-To-Play Mario Kart Lookalike Just Released On Xbox

Dezzy70

It’s so tough for any kart racer to get close or live up to Mario Kart especially now.
It has so much nostalgia, very well known characteristics and the drift system, after trying many others is simply the best there is.
The weapons like red shell etc are just imprinted on the brain and what they do, playing Mario Kart is like just breathing so automatic and natural.

Re: Sony Remains 'Extremely Sceptical' Of Reaching ActiBlizz Agreement With Microsoft

Dezzy70

I’m sure with this deal of ten years Sony are big and strong enough to take it and have ten years to consider a strategy moving forward.
Having said that, I think Sonys true fear is COD being on Game Pass day one and all advertising rights, promotions are with Xbox etc.
It could be made to look like it is and Xbox exclusive.
But then Sony do that buying advertising rights, look at Hogwarts and Sony tv advertising, you would have thought it was a Sony exclusive.

I would never thought one single game would have caused so much business commotion 😂

Re: Video: Digital Foundry Questions Whether Features Should Be Dropped On Xbox Series S

@Moto5
And what I’m I playing right now
Metroid prime remaster I know an old game 2002 and a remaster but what a game and good looking for Switch docked on a 65” LG C2.
Then a bit of MK8 online to get my points up, one of the only online games I play.
Then tomorrow start finishing up HFW, love open world adventure/action. Ready for the expansion in April.
That is how gaming is done Microsoft.

Re: Video: Digital Foundry Questions Whether Features Should Be Dropped On Xbox Series S

Dezzy70

@Moto5
Exactly my point, if I can get 80% on PS5 sales and only 20% on Series consoles, as a business where is my priority going to be.
Also and maybe just developer rumour, but they prefer the PS5 pool memory architecture being one pool and all access, instead of Series X two different memory pools at separate speeds.
That was the only thing I didn’t get about the Series X memory pool. Just make it all one pool and at the same speed and all accessible if possible.

Re: Video: Digital Foundry Questions Whether Features Should Be Dropped On Xbox Series S

Dezzy70

@Fenbops
Well I’m bit concerned that the more powerful Series X is not getting the multi platform development love just recently and the weaker PS5 is performing those multi platform games better.
It’s all about business and what console or platform has the biggest user base and buys the most games, so they get a return on development investment.
Now I’m being real and predict the PS5 to Series console gap will grow even bigger and Series consoles sales will be lower in 2023 than in 2022.
This will spurn multi platform developers to spend more time optimising the PS5 over Series consoles.
Then not only will Sony have their big AAA exclusives, better multi platform games, which all in turn will create bigger sales of the console, which will then create more multi platform optimisation on the PS5.

I really can’t see how Microsoft are going to improve any thing for Xbox this generation now.
I did have massive high hopes at the beginning of this generation but none now really.
