It’s simple to me, if the developers have done their best with the hardware they have then fine and the game and gameplay are top AAA which TOTK will be I’m fine with that.
But when the console is capable of so much more in every way and the developer doesn’t deliver in Redfall case for whatever reason then that’s bad.

I was there with everyone at that place as well.
But I’m not now, given up on them even more so since Redfall.
So my time and money will be with TOTK and it’s a business so Xbox lose my money.

Brilliantly written and exactly how I feel and what I want from Xbox. You can’t just slow cruise behind the leaders in a Ford focus when they are pushing ahead in the Lamborghini. You will end up just getting further behind, which is what is starting to happen, especially since the beginning of 2023.

I still have a fondness for Xbox, but don’t really game Xbox anymore. And of course you fantastic gamers on here are the best of all three sites.

If they get their act together that suits my personal gaming tastes I will Xbox Game again.
Which is basically the xbox, Xbox360 and some of the Xbox one days. Just remembered that Xbox one Tomb Raider deal, was magical.

Definitely gameplay over graphics.
I mean look at me, I haven’t been that excited about a game in a very long time, probably since this new generation of consoles released on day one. Until TOTK being honest at 900p 30fps.
Was concerned about the game a little until I went hunting detailed leaks, so many about.
Now I’m more excited than ever.

I have little hope and extremely low expectations of real results after the PR.

How about release the games in top AAA style and in full working condition.

Presentations are just words and some videos and nothing else but PR.

Will tune in as always and see what they muster up this time.
But the proof of the pudding is in the eating.
Which means:
the value, quality, or truth of something must be judged based on direct experience with it—or on its RESULTS.

It may be past that point, I mean it would have to be GOWR and BOTW type universal status to give Xbox a glimmer of redemption and general public interest and momentum in the brand.
Even then I think with the other two riding pretty high, it still probably will be to little to late I’m afraid.

Yes I preferred the Xbox one days for sure.
And definitely the Xbox one x was great for me.
The problem is even some third party games now are leaning towards PS5 in performance, of course bigger install base.
In the Xbox one x days third party wise the one x was king for sure. At least Xbox had that going for it.

It’s all gone a bit strange at Xbox.
Definitely not the new generation and all the promises we thought we were going to get.
I should have seen the warning signs after Halo Infinite.
Don’t think I’ve seen such a self destructive demonstration of a brand, Xbox in all my very long gaming life.
Yes some ups and down etc but this Microsoft with Xbox is like nothing I’ve seen.
Especially with all the money they have.

At this moment in time I wish they would sell their studios and leave the gaming business, they have no purpose for my personal preferences gaming wise what so ever.

I have been with Xbox since day one.
Original Xbox and had all Xbox consoles on day of release.
I cannot defined such woeful incompetence anymore. I have now left Xbox brand.
And wish Xbox would hand back all studios and leave the gaming business.

Well some good series x news we only got 2 series x Forza bundles left, good sales.
Bad news, after that no series x in stock, zero.
We had zero solos series x for two weeks now.
Come on Microsoft get the act together.

Slowly getting there.
Can’t see why they don’t have just one line of tiles at the bottom and that’s it.

I think Microsoft’s strategy is to buy as many big studios as possible, pull out the hardware market as there is not much profit if any in the hardware market.
Then once out of the hardware market sign Sony and Nintendo up to game pass, either could based or download not sure.

It’s just a shame really as the Xbox I once new seems to have almost gone.
I mean ok I also have PS5 and Switch which is really where my AAA gaming is for me now.
Perhaps i had to high expectations for my series x and Xbox at the start of this generation.
Currently I sure the Xbox one generation was better for me personally.

Seem about three reviews not sure about the reviewers though. But not great and average mediocre game really going by those reviews.
And very bad review.
Another game for game pass game if you get me and such a shame for Arkane.
This will not do Xbox brand any good at all.

I used to be a massive day one gamer last generation. But one thing this generation on PS5 And series consoles, is hold back.

Not sure what has been going on the last two years development wise, but overall quality control, bugs, issues, visuals that get improved with patches etc have taken a terrible turn for the worse.
The industry almost seems slightly broken now as a whole. Has the care and attention gone during game development.

Will go Redfall after seeing reviews, no review code sent out by all accounts. Then wait for the patches, like all games today on all platforms and 60fps, of course.
In no rush it’s on GP and have TOTK very soon.

No point if you can’t produce top end AAA games to me and use the power of the 12tflop console I purchased.
I have worked Xbox out now, mediocre AAA games at best across as many devices as possible and game pass.
We will never see the true power of the series x and game’s developed from the ground up for the series x.

You forget you have to love Phil and the gang and the company.
Dare you complain about the investment you have made buying a series x and game pass and the fact they have not kept on promise and produced nothing in 2022 AAA game wise and 2023 hasn’t been great so far. Messed up Halo.
And hardly used the series x 12tflop.
I think that is called customer disappointment and dissatisfaction. Is that not allowed.

I have been day one with every Xbox console.
Halo on the original Xbox got me hooked on Xbox back in the day. Amazing.
Then 360, then 360 slim all day one, the glory days.
Xbox one day one. Series x day one.
I’m no fake just a pissed Xbox fan that airs his fews on here. Well not really an Xbox fan now, they may get me to totally back if they get their act together. But maybe the path Xbox is taking is not my gaming path, so far it hasn’t been this generation really. It’s been very low apart from FH5 and little up for HiFi rush.
Also I have GPU until May 2025. Stacked it with a deal at the time.

When Phil first came in on the xbox one, brilliant.
Now he is nothing to me, a stage presence and mouth piece.

It’s not about the others.
It’s about how Microsoft so far are handling AAA games within their studios and releases.
I mean it’s not a massive deal but to have a game like Redfall release on the worlds most power console, which I believe it is, without a 60fps mode goes to show, they are either managed badly or Xbox are becoming complacent or dare I say it arrogant to its loyal customers.

We have been waiting ages for their own AAA games and it should be polished to hell and offer a 60fps mode.

My real theory the studios are stretched to far
Nintendo and Sony, but more Nintendo studios produce a game for one console, Sony one if PS5 or two if cross generation and also they stick to the focus and produce very good to amazing single player games.

Arkane bless them, are developing a game for series s and x, pc and cloud based systems.
Single player and co op. I think Xbox stretch their studios focus very wide which of course takes more development time and issues.

If Redfall was just series x only, no other device or cloud it would definitely release 60fps and probably look even better.

Microsoft strategy is release in every format and if it is AAA mediocre and no 60fps on release it’s fine. Which to me means you don’t get the best the game could be for the series x.

Just like a first party Xbox series x game fps we have been waiting a long time for running at 30fps on series x. I think called Redfall.
Well they got half the name right “fall” because that’s all it will do come the reviews in a week 😂

And that is the issue we have waited very patiently for Redfall and something from Xbox and yes I hope I am wrong as well but I’m thinking Redfall will be average ish.
And I know it’s not all about consoles sales but that’s one of the reasons sale have really slowed down. Something like 343K less this March 2023 than last March 2022. Game pass sales probably aren’t great either I bet.
The brand needs dam great and amazing games, momentum and some great advertising PR.

Look at Nintendo, Mario movie followed by TOTK.
Sony do their advertising PR well and even though may only drop spider man 2 this year. You can be sure the whole world will know about.
All this pushes brand momentum and gets the general public excited and on board and loads of buzz around the brand name.
Xbox has definitely flattened and even dropped as of today compared to this time last year.

Be fair I’ve been an Xbox since the original Xbox and they deserve a bit of a bashing of late.
I mean last year 2022 was the first time in my whole Xbox history day one original console I had ever see it that bad AAA games wise.
This year is nearly 4 months gone and nothing has popped up yet that is stellar and don’t forget all the big three Redfall, Forza and Starfield were meant to be before end of June 2023. and I predicated the real release days of those games last June in 2022 I’m so far one month on out Starfield. Forza TBA.
Now let’s see how good Redfall is in May, that will be a telling point for me.

Well as long as the bosses are happy.
