This is fine, but I wish I could be able to play my Steam games on my Series S.

Octopath Traveler II is one of the best JRPGs I've played. It manages to surpass the original (which I already liked) in nearly all aspects.

So I assume that the Series S version is on par with the others?

I wonder how things will change if the Switch 2 turns out to actually be on par with the Series S (if not better in a technical aspect or another).

I still have the one I got years ago and it works just fine (even if the leather has seen better days). Though I would gladly trade the microphone (which I don't use) for the ability to connect it via cable to older devices.

Saying you don't like Hi-Fi Rush because it looks "kiddie" only makes you sound like a tool.

Having a job and other things competing for your free time will do that.

I can't really say since I have yet to be interested in any games that also happen to be particularly large, but owning a Series S with no external HD, it's kind of inevitable.

The only one I can personally vouch for is Hades, while the others I have not played and have varying levels of interest in.

I used it once with Dead Cells on Game Pass (Series S). It worked better than expected, but it didn't look as good as it did when I actually downloaded the game.

On the one hand, it's great that they're working on improvements. On the other, that means I'll postpone my own try of the game, since I would rather play it with at least the initial fixes.

I tend to completely shut down my Series S when not in use so as to save energy and cover the air vent, so sadly I don't really make use of it.

@Grumblevolcano I honestly wouldn't worry too much about the possibility. Square might be prone to dumb decisions, but they have to know how much they would lose by cutting ties with Nintendo. Besides, considering how much of a kerfuffle this whole deal has been, any future buyout attempts by any company will go through a lot of scrutiny, to say the least.

Hopefully this works well and finds more success than Rumbleverse did.

@Friendly I don't think it would go that far. My theory is that Sony would never have enough money to convince SE to end their fairly beneficial relationship with Nintendo, but they do have enough to keep them out of Xbox.

I wish they'd use the Master System versions of those games, but that's fine.

I wish I could leverage my Series S' emulation potential, but I'm far too afraid of messing up with something in the system. Getting one wasn't cheap in the slightest.

I'm not sure if it being a new IP made that much of an impact, as I believe a significant number of people bought it for basically being "Dark Souls 4".

Is this the same mansion where you could trap the butler in the refrigerator in one of the older games?

Nice to see Elden Ring finally getting a discount. Unfortunately I'll have to skip it for now, as money is currently a bit tight and I don't want to add even more to my backlog. Hopefully things will be much more favorable the next time it gets discounted.

This news arrived just as I was wondering if there had been a new update recently.

Having access to many titles that are compromised/unavailable on the Switch, and having Game Pass to allow me to spend a lot less on stuff I would buy but not feel attached to.

I mostly consider the length of a game in relation to when it will be removed from the service (either by observing the patterns or when it's officially announced). There was this one longer title I had started knowing I had roughly 15 days to beat it, which would have been possible if not for the fact I received a lot more work than usual in the following weeks, forcing me to abandon the playthrough - altough the game in question is now on my wishlist for whenever it goes on sale.

It really says something about the Series S' popularity that it gets so many custom models compared to the Series X. The availability certainly helps.

What an annoying time for my TV to be stuck in another state.

Even without the stock issues, the Series S was by far my best option due to the price and for occupying less space. I have some concerns regarding storage, but I don't think I'll have any real problems anytime soon.

Is this the first time games have returned to Game Pass after being pulled out, or has this happened before?

Some of the games on the list seem to be missing their names.

I have been a Nintendo gamer for most of my life, and being able to save on certain multiplatform releases through Game Pass was one of the main reasons I got a Series S as a second console when it was affordable. So far it's been a good idea.

This is a big reason why I only actually buy games that have already left Game Pass.

I think I'd rather just wait to download it directly through the console.

Out of curiosity, are there any differences between the standalone Xbox version of the game or the one in Rare Replay?

@Banjo- No, they bought a studio that helped develop a few big Switch third-party games.

Man, they're really being open about their past mistakes.

It Takes Two isn't my personal favorite for the upcoming Game of the Year award at the VGAs, but this kind of makes me want them to win.

Honestly, it all comes down to how good is the performance where I live. I'll make a test, and if it doesn't work out, then that's that.

@Royalblues The only one that's actually uncertain is Goldeneye, since it's not up to Nintendo and Rare/Microsoft alone.

A remake of Psychonauts could potentially do wonders for the gameplay in certain infamous parts.
