If M$ has xbox, steam, Nintendo, cloud, Nvidia, epic store, mobile, etc. Do they still need Sony? if one year of CoD missed PS5 but was on everything else people who own a PS5 would just buy it someplace else. Not a lot of money would be lost as there are a million new doors that just opened.
I have never played a souls/nioh/elden ring game before. The only game I played like this is Ninja Gaiden Black which I beat and ended up becoming one of my all time favorite games.
What are the chances of M$ putting COD with all content, day 1 on all platforms, but only via gamepass, meaning even the Switch could have access to everything but it would have to be through the gamepass cloud. Is there any chance M$ would do something like this? Yes, Sony, PC, Nintendo, etc would get everything day one (just like xbox), but it must be run through gamepass on their platform. I have not seen this talked about anywhere, is this a possibility?
The question I keep asking myself today is "What will M$ do when this goes through and Sony never signed the contract, will they be the nice guy and still give them the 10 years", or say, "We go year to year with you guys, if we feel like giving it to you this year we will, but you gotta pay"
who cares about SE (and FF7 is my third time all favorite game) there are far far better companies than them. Let them pursue their marriage with Sony.
Looks like Sony is going to lose in the end ether way. They lose (according to Sony) if M$ buys out AB.
Sony will also lose if this deal fails to go through. There's no WAY things can go back to normal after all the damage Sony will end up doing to hurt their relations with M$ and AB.
The fact that EU has not even brought up Nintendo into the picture, which M$ said many times Nintendo would get CoD as well just goes to show how skewed EU is towards Sony. If EU really cared about competition equality then they would also be considering Nintendo right now as their system has zero CoD games, which Microsoft would change if they buy out AB.
This is my second year of GP and i still occational buy a game or two throughout the year. Has my purchases cut back? yes, but i would only buy maybe 5-8 games a year. So maybe 4 of my purchases go to gamepass and then I usually buy whatever i want that isnt on gamepass or has already left. I just dont spend a lot of money on gaming, too busy working. But for me gamepass is great because I always have access to Halo, Gears, Rare games and then a ton of indy games I would never touch if it was not for gamepass. So for me gamepass is more than worth it. For example, Persona 5 is a game I would have purchased ($60) but buying that game is a huge chunk of my gamepass yearly subscription fee.
I dont see why people hate on GPU so much. GP allows me to try play and sometimes beat games I would never ever touch just because I dont wanna drop 20ish dollars on an indie game that is a total hit or miss for me.
I remember back in 2021 thinking about selling my xbox one s and all its games because I found out that half of my game collection (I had around 25 xbox one games) was on GP. When I sold my xbox one s and all its game I got more than enough money to buy a new Japanese series s along with a years subscription of GPU and a few digital games MK11U and others that I wanted. I have been with xbox since the original fat controller. From here on out I will only do digital xbox gaming and will prolly always have GPU subscription up and running
@GodofCapcom Your looking at it the wrong way. Gamepass is the future. Look at Sony and Nintendo slowly making their own versions of gamepass. Buying tons of games at 60-70 a piece is a way of the past. Buying a game outright will always be an option, but Gamepass is here to stay, expect digital subscriptions to only increase from here on out.
Soon consoles themselves will cease to exist. It might be a few more generations from now. But once streaming is developed to the point of being a stable environment there will be zero need for consoles or anything other than digital games. phones, ipads and computers will be more than enough. Xbox, Sony and Nintendo in the future might only create controllers that stream all their games to any ipad/phone/pc or even protect an image with zero need for any other hardware piece, let alone a tv.
Gamepass is the future and its here to stay despite what anyone may feel or think. It's not just the gaming market that has been moving in this direction, its all media
Please bring up why Final Fantasy VII Remake has been withheld from xbox gamers around the world. FF7R is just the beginning, bring out all that dirty laundry and bleach it!~
@Jenkinss Agreed, i really really like Infinite, but at this point, it's reputation is beyond repair. 343 needs to be reconstructed and Halo 7 needs to return to it's roots. HI did a lot right, but it was released unfinished and hit with too many cancelations, delays and slow-coming content.
@EliJapan No! 343 studios needs hardcore reconstruction, why keep pouring money into a sinking ship? They had 10 years and a bigger budget than 90% of other studios.
Not sure what Microsoft will do with Halo going forward. From what I understand 343 studios were created specifically for Halo so I hope they continue on Halo. But only if the entire company is restructured. Halo is my all-time favorite FPS series and I highly enjoyed Infinite. However, the problem (at least from an outsider's perspective) is that the team at 343 doesn't seem to know what they are doing, and this very well may be a management issue. It doesn't make any sense how they have so much time and money and so little to show for it. In the workplace this usually means there are a lot of people not doing their job and or there is horrible communication going on between teams and groups or people working on certain parts of the game/project. If it is just people slacking off then remove them from the company. If it's bad communication and management. Then Microsoft needs to put its foot down and take action right away. Because even if you give them a new IP or give them creative freedom to make a new game the same issues will surface as the problem (management and communication) was never addressed.
Really hope that this layoff will somehow turn out for the better of 343 and the Halo franchise as a whole. Halo is Microsoft's flagship title. Much like Mario is for Nintendo and ..... for Sony (lol)
As of Jan 2021 343 studios has over 750 employees. This really makes you wonder what most of them are doing, they have the MCC and HI. With Infinite being hit with so many issues, delays, and canceled content it really raises the question, "what are the 750 employees doing? "
My first Persona was #5: Royal (108 hours in right now and still playing) so I have never played any of the other Persona games. However, from what I understand, and correct me if I'm wrong, is the greatest Persona versions look something like this...
P5:Royal > P5
P4: Golden > P4
P3:FeS > P3P > P3
If Atlas is trying to give us the best versions of their Persona games, why did they choose portable over FeS? From what I understand P3Portable even has some of the anime style videos removed from it, but they added another playable character and some other changes. But FeS has way more changes to it, kinda like P5 to Royal amount of changes.. Is this correct? If so... why did they give us Portable and not FeS? If it was just for the extra playable character could Atlas not have just added the character to FeS?
