As part of his interview with YouTube channel Xbox On earlier today, Xbox boss Phil Spencer was asked about the team's upcoming plans, revealing that most of the focus right now is on the annual Xbox summer showcase taking place this June.

However, he also mentioned that there will be some news coming out between now and then, hinting at "GoldenEye type announcements" that could be in the pipeline. Here's an extract from the interview:

"So, a lot of our focus right now is on the showcase in June, but there's some news that's coming out. I mean, things that... you know, we did GoldenEye... I'm thinking like, you know, GoldenEye type announcements. So, there'll be things available, games available in different services. Obviously, the Game Pass portfolio continues to grow, but most of our focus as a team is really on getting ready for the showcase."

The only announcement that comes to mind for us is Ghostwire: Tokyo, which seems nailed on for an Xbox Game Pass release in March 2023. Nothing has been announced yet, but we're expecting to hear more at the end of the month.

Aside from that, it's anyone's guess - but we wouldn't suggest getting your hopes up too much. It sounds like most of the focus is now on the Xbox summer showcase, and hopefully the Starfield showcase before that as well!
