The reviews looked good to me… if you like this series it will not disappoint… reviewers are strange … if the game is linear then the knock is that it’s not open world… if it’s open world then they want a more focused linear gameplay…

Xbox S with a 1 TB SSD = under 50 games but I am ok with that… too many and you just have a digital display cabinet…

@Fiendish-Beaver Microsoft has always kept billions on hand. So not only do they not carry any debt but those extra billions generate revenue which fuel their acquisitions… so they tend to just gobble up competition or patents … which is why the FTC is always one step away …

@Simu001 99% his speech was written by AI… there is a giant laser beam at Microsoft to zap you if you release any communications done by a human…

Xbox The Computer… XTC … sounds euphoric

Well for me too many games to play a game preview … I will wait out the release after all the beta testing….

Fun game and now be able to get the achievements…. I feel Slimer Rancher 3 coming to beta in a month…

@themightyant I am going to go the other way and say the game will be so large and amazing after all the time they put into it that the it will raise the bar even higher… at this point it is either a disaster or GOTY

Seems like we will get more of these types of games as developers rush to get them out for Switch 2. Just proves the porting from the Switch to Xbox S is an easy port. A wonderful side effect…

I buy a lot of games but with Gamepass they usually just end up as backlog… at some point I will cancel and focus on my purchases… but 2025 GP has me hooked

My reflexes will not allow me to progress too far I believe… early reports say it is one of the toughest souls likes ever … I will give it a shot but expect to run away screaming

I buy all my games on sale but because of Gamepass I never get to them … I think at some point I will discontinue GP just to work on my backlog as how will I ever chip away at it?

Going to try and play Turnip Boy and as well as Back to the Dawn and My Friendly Neighborhood. Don’t get me started with my AAA backlog … just going to enjoy these indies as every journey starts with a single step…

Environmentally it is a great idea as watching a movie on any console uses oodles more energy than streaming on a dedicated streaming device…

This definitely looks like must play for me … I really want to play Turnip Boy before it leaves at the end of the month though… will give a few hours on the weekend

I feel my wallet getting lighter… Cyber Punk bundle is purchased… and a few more one this list like Mortal Kombat 1 and a few others are maybes…

I will be pick up the Cyberpunk 2077 bundle… I will wait on anything Ubisoft if the rumors are true and Shadows and Star Wars are Gamepass bound….

I also see “He is coming” as a game preview today as well…

I love indies and these two in particular seem perfect…

OW2 and Keeper a close second… of course when I can get to those is a mystery

@Kaloudz From my own experience, higher ups sneakily ask for ideas on being more efficient while giving those answers to the AI or “automation” team…

There is a lot of good with Starfield… the general consensus is that the games needs a redemption arc like Cyberpunk 2077 … but Bethesda doesn’t do that kind of thing

I had some reward points last week so got the Batman Telltale series and Gotham Knights… also one of the Oddworld games. As it was $5…

Back to the dawn sounds intriguing as who doesn’t like crime with animals… I also bought Robocop so that gets downgraded … catch me some fallen feathers… ok I’m good!

Hmm don’t like Turnip Boy leaving… same with Kunitsu-gami both are good games … just too many good games

The more I play the more I am enjoying the new Lost in Random game… it’s a slow but steady rouguelike but feels it does what does well…

Did either of these games need an update? Seems like just these could have been a patch or update

Gotta be hyped for anything that looks different from the norm…. I am sure the signature humour will be there too…

@Kraven You have to take the amounts given a little leeway as every deal has multiple variations depending on amount paid up front, engagement, bonuses etc. Also a game like Hellblade would be given quite a better deal than a company just starting out….

While we are all whining about the future and past decisions of Xbox, the real concern for us all is how AI will reduce the workforce. These layoffs were company wide not just Xbox remember. At the moment I’m not even sure @fraserg is a real person anymore… however don’t worry in a bit we will all be able to play games 24/7 as going to work won’t be an option

The reason for last week layoffs was all to do with reducing their workforce with AI. Nothing overly complicated… they need to show that AI is the way forward and obviously they think that it is … so no connection to Gamepass whatsoever

@Fiendish-Beaver I reckon porting the titles over to the competitors is just profiteering on top of the sustainable GamePass. Xbox is not propping up Gamepass with other revenue. If Gamepass was not sustainable then you would have seen price increases all the time. In fact only two price increases ever…

I didn’t like the Ascent the first time but will give it another go…. Minami Lane … sure like a cozy game and never played a Tony Hawk game so looking forward to the gnarly challenge dudes!

Probably just a mixture of games to complete the Gamepass monthly 8 pack. Would really like to 100% Powerwash Sim - I have done the career but the remaining challenges are cruel and not sure I have the skills or patience….

Ouch! Sounds more of a commercial than caring. When they were let go most likely they were given a spiel by HR with resources… this is borderline rubbing their noses in it…
