I almost dread the Game Awards as there has been layoffs before it every year as they close a month before the holidays and sometimes never reopen….

Having whiplash from high expectations to really low to meh… Xbox really have not marketed their games at all….

Yes I remember last years Countdown sale being very good… I will wait as well as my backlog is so high my overload meter is broken…

Xbox will have almost zero presence if there is early 2025 showcase… maybe a few trailers for games going to PS5 … very low expectations

Old school graphics, no replay ability until you make it harder, gameplay is formulaic and boring but has a retro soundtrack = 8/10 sigh

Yes, I have all these available to buy …. Just haven’t decided I want any of them that badly… They are the delux versions to the base games I already have access with GP Ultimate… so tempting yet my backlog is ridiculous… sigh

Just another step closer to my endgame where by me not buying anything at full price are forcing Ubisoft to become part of GamePass… if they had only done this years ago, I wouldn’t have been forced to do this

Going to try and finish The Quarry before it’s leaves GP… Indy next week … any spare time will be clearing out space to fit Indy on….

I tried to count all the 2024 new GP games and nearly 100…. I got great value and my backlog is stuffed…
I got 100+ hours alone with Brotato
My other favs were Still wakes the deep, Botany Manor, Resident Evil 2&3, Dead Island 2, Octopath Traveler 1&2, Dead Space, Calisto Protocol, Mafia, Dungeons of Hindenburg… also there was Grand Theft Auto 5 , 2K Basketball, Star Wars and EA golf plus plus plus…

January has traditionally a great Gamepass month so fully expecting 7-8 games to drop by the end…

Considering Geoff’s bromance with Kojima that this has OD written all over it…. Would love a Borderlands release date…. Or Most likely just another exclusive not coming to Xbox … can’t get any hype going for this…

@Utena-mobile Considering that Perfect Dark started out as Nintendo 64 game and you had to buy a 8 mb expansion pak to play it … it has a legacy to uphold… the Perfect Dark wiki is an amazing read….

Can any industry survive when the consumer can wait out for a 75% sale than buy day 1 … Ubisoft has not figured this out yet…
The whole industry is in trouble as there is only so much market share and our backlogs are full and we will only buy what we really want….

I’m in the buy a Xbox and buy a Switch and buy a PS5 camp and be happy… and a bit lighter in the wallet…

@Fiendish-Beaver that’s an amazing achievement… my best unlock was a Brotato 0.39% for completing a run as a Dwarf. You and others have put in the time for BG3!

Well I played 104 hours on Brotato yet only in the top 2% sigh
86K reward points - nice as my goal was to get BG3 and DG2 on points so works out to $125 Canadian
Top 15% in time played but top 1% in Achievements and Gamerscore
As I said last year, we are gamers in Pure Xbox and our stats reflect that!

It will be an annoying and nauseating event but I watch it anyway … but it is cringeworthy… the June showcase is the main event and this is just corporate shenanigans with a few trailers

A few tempting offers for games that are not perfect but playable … Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad …

Looks like Indy and we will not try too hard… looking forward to January as the last two have been killer months for game drops…

I have done all I can with these games that I want to … enjoyed McPixal 3 but never even tried Humankind…

@Nightcrawler71 Yes it does … in your library under owned games. Even if the game is delisted in the store you can still download it anytime… just can’t buy it as the music license has expired

It will be Brotato with a sprinkling of Tales from the Borderlands. 9 Sols and maybe a rpg like Assassin Creed 1 if I get more time…

I only gave it a B as most of the games are not in my wheelhouse … I picked 9 sols as that was the one I played the most but enjoyed Spyro

Brotato - the ultimate in a fast get in session … love this game!

The demographic that buy sports games must be giddy at the prices. However the games that I would like to add to my backlog are not on sale or are not discounted enough … I am looking at you Unicorn Overlord….

@BacklogBrad I rely on everyone here giving their thoughts on games over time more than any one review…

Two completely different issues. You can’t get a good review if the product is buggy… the review is based in the current version and not the potential… the second issue of safe ideas getting better scores is totally inaccurate. The third issue not raised is that if the game is not 60 fps the game seems to get a lower score….

At this point it is all about the games and if new guy can do it then it is a great hire… I personally have been disappointed in the lack of games as I get really hyped at the June showcase and it’s been a real slow trickle in 2024…

@Titntin yes, I am a double the time spent player as well… I can’t dedicate more than an hour or two and by the time I get back forgot something and have to loop back …

I ain’t going lie - I already have the drive space free and ready to go… time to not read anything now and enjoy…

I played an hour of 9 Sols and the button placement is a bit tricky and my old man reflexes cause me to die but enjoyed the experience. First game to come with a cruelty warning and deserving of that honour…

To get rid of Microsoft Jewel as it’s a weird 5 point daily reward …

Bought the Brotato DLC and enjoying that very much as I have only level 4 and 5 left in the main game… downloaded Genshin Impact to see if I like it… if not then back the PGA 23

If you want a great review then wait until your game is ready before giving out to reviewers- easy peasy… I blame Microsoft as they should have a quality review team that green lights every game that goes onto Gamepass… I still have not played Redfall or Lamplighters league as the reviews were bad with day 1 bugs… every game that gets poorly reviewed gets a horrible death … sure Cyberpunk and No man’s Sky pulled themselves out of a death spiral but those games would be GOTY material in the year it released if bug free

Brotato not being mentioned is a huge omission… it’s a great indie action game!

I bought PGA 2K 2023 for $13 Canadian… really can’t lose at that price
