@Kaloudz Let me know how Lego City is as I was going to get but some of the comments threw me off… about the game crashing and bugs.

This series has been quite reliable in what it does it does really well… This feels like the first shot of many in a busy 2025…

Usually it’s more than “just” early access - more like a discounted purchase of the future DLC with early access thrown in… it’s a nice gesture to any fan of the game. and if you don’t want to spend real money - use your reward points….

Started the weekend with buying too many games but really enjoying the Lego Harry Potter remaster… I do think that I will try Doom 2016 and bashing my head against Brotato level 4. I thought my backlog was bad before but it’s embarrassing at this point…

Something about this sale resonates with me and picked up about 5 really good deals such as Vertigo, Beyound a black sky, Disciples and Pathfinder… and I had to pass on a few which I will probably get later - nice!

No Brotato - fake news! No Indy on their own excellence awards is very curious…

I usually give these things an A just on the presentation… I remember y’all saying last couple years - ohh that was a C or B … glad the types of games resonated with you this time around!

@Kaloudz the easiest way to check is to try and play the original and if you play it there are two versions but if you can’t only one… happened to me with the new Doom 1&2 remaster … the original 1&2 had a red x on the icon and said I didn’t own it….

I only wish they do these more often … maybe GTA later in the year is a good thing as forcing Microsoft to release their games in the first half of the year….

@Nightcrawler71 I tried Starbound last night and still can’t tell you exactly what it is yet … very pixel art style with very basic controls … a 2d platformer with farming … a love child of a 90’s JRPG and Atari 2600 game … I will give it one more shot before retiring it to the backlog

Overall just slightly disappointed with January offerings… but there are some good games in there… looking forward to Starbound and CS2!

I just like getting hyped up and watching live and consider it like my gaming Super Bowl… snacks, drinks and cheering on Xbox

My only indication of a shadow drop is how bad January offers have been … however way too close to Avowed

Buying full price for even one game seems like a overspend… I’m usually a deal driven shopper now a days…

Road 96 and trying to complete Escape Academy will take up most of my weekend…. Weirdly also enjoying Merge & Blade again - feels like a mobile game but has some depth …

All I need is Light No Fire and I’m good… just hope it is fun and not such a impressive walking simulator

I like the changes as it makes it less of a grind of turning it on each day and trying to find a game to score a quick achievement…

Didn’t get to play it last time so it’s like a new game for me…

Not a huge loss for me but I will finish up Escape Academy before it goes….

There is also a January tax on great games…. By the time for the GOTY anything before March gets overlooked…. If Like a dragon Infinite Wealth was released in September it may have won a few more awards …. Even Dragons Dogma 2 was too early. You can bet GTA 6 releases late in the year…..

It’s a pre holidays family weekend so maybe some time tomorrow to play Indy which I am enjoying more for the experience 10/10 than the game itself… but still a great game

I would have given Brotato some love with 3 points if it was there. I gave Indy my 5 and Harold Halibut a 4… but honestly didn’t play many games outside Gamepass

I have to admit the UE5 graphics look amazing…. Hoping for a summer release date…

I would normally ohh and ah live but will be in transit so will watch afterwards…

I almost dread the Game Awards as there has been layoffs before it every year as they close a month before the holidays and sometimes never reopen….

Having whiplash from high expectations to really low to meh… Xbox really have not marketed their games at all….

Yes I remember last years Countdown sale being very good… I will wait as well as my backlog is so high my overload meter is broken…

Xbox will have almost zero presence if there is early 2025 showcase… maybe a few trailers for games going to PS5 … very low expectations

Old school graphics, no replay ability until you make it harder, gameplay is formulaic and boring but has a retro soundtrack = 8/10 sigh

Yes, I have all these available to buy …. Just haven’t decided I want any of them that badly… They are the delux versions to the base games I already have access with GP Ultimate… so tempting yet my backlog is ridiculous… sigh

Just another step closer to my endgame where by me not buying anything at full price are forcing Ubisoft to become part of GamePass… if they had only done this years ago, I wouldn’t have been forced to do this

Going to try and finish The Quarry before it’s leaves GP… Indy next week … any spare time will be clearing out space to fit Indy on….

I tried to count all the 2024 new GP games and nearly 100…. I got great value and my backlog is stuffed…
I got 100+ hours alone with Brotato
My other favs were Still wakes the deep, Botany Manor, Resident Evil 2&3, Dead Island 2, Octopath Traveler 1&2, Dead Space, Calisto Protocol, Mafia, Dungeons of Hindenburg… also there was Grand Theft Auto 5 , 2K Basketball, Star Wars and EA golf plus plus plus…

January has traditionally a great Gamepass month so fully expecting 7-8 games to drop by the end…

Considering Geoff’s bromance with Kojima that this has OD written all over it…. Would love a Borderlands release date…. Or Most likely just another exclusive not coming to Xbox … can’t get any hype going for this…
