This was already my most hyped GamePass game but just reading the reviews I am confused to what actually is the game …. But that makes it even more interesting…

Best Indy: Brotato
Best GP game: Starfield
Best game: Baldurs Gate 3

Honorable mentions: Indy, High Fi Rush and the Turnip Boy games

The first half of the year is seriously a busy period for GamePass… a backlog enhancer period?

I think like others, the best option is to play all the other AC titles until this one gets patched for series S and gets the inevitable discount. Sound s like Ubisoft is trying to boost engagement to boost its value before the breaking apart of the company… look at us we got X amount of subscribers….

Atomfall and Blue Prince are my most anticipated games… I usually have to double the time expected times anyways as I like looking around for things…

I loved Lil Gator so will try to get a few more achievements before it goes

@Westernwolf4 I did the same thing … played it and was too buggy and never came back so don’t know if they actually fixed it.

The reality is at that we all want AC but going to get disappointed by anything else. All I want is the entire back catalogue on GP….

Been playing Monster Train as well as Power Washer. I even put on High Fi rush and forgot how good that game is …

I will play all of them but blue Prince and Clair obscur stand out for me… South of midnight a bit less but high…

Hope it’s not like Pokémon go which you were training an AI for another purpose entirely. Would hate all our data being used for military training purposes….

Microsoft doesn’t want to buy any company as it would trigger more antitrust issues. They could buy a IP though or sign a deal to allow all Ubi games onto game pass…

@themightyant I believe that Microsoft’s mentality is too add as many longer games and rouge lites to GamePass thinking that subscribers will have to keep subscribing each month. That’s how they get me… there is no way I can get through Avowed in under 6 months with all the other content. In most cases I almost never 100% a game but I keep subbing in the hope I do….

I am a little biased but still think Starfield has the best sound of any game in my recent memory. Makes you feel that you are in a movie. As for the game itself there is a lot of story you can sink into and explore but definitely not the absolute best…

I’m very happy that this is coming to GP as I never heard of it and thought the name was terrible and so would never have played it otherwise. A perfect fit!

@FraserG Does Monster Train re-arrive with DLC? I thought when I downloaded it there was a mention of it but wasn’t sure if it was an add on or was included with the Gamepass version..:

@RBRTMNZ I based my total assessment on the words Mullet and Mudjack … I have had weaker arguments but not many… as to why I did it - trying to be funny

If you are naming a game Mullet Mudjack the expectations are low…

I gave it a 7 and only because my backlog is so big that any release tempers my excitement… again more a reflection of me…

Finally a feel good story in 2025! Unless you think being swallowed up by a corporation and losing independence a good thing then this kinda sucks. A great destination to reward Rockstar staff on field trips… I expect a NPC to chant Aussie, Aussie, Aussie at some point in the game now.

I finally 100% Brotato and DLC and loved it! Slay the Spire has replaced it as my short amount of time game… for longer gaming times I am going to play Avowed or maybe get back into Indy … we will see but have a nice gaming weekend if you can!

Probably nothing slotted in there realistically other than COD … maybe a surprise around Xmas with something big…

The scores also get jumbled up - Monster Hunter Wilds has a 90 for PS5, for example, whereas it's only 89 for Xbox.

@themightyant Yes, my interpretation was a bit hopeful… I hate that technically I did play a couple of those as a single player experience and got included in that stat….

Just shows that the gaming business is not all fun and games… too much corporate types in it for the money and squeezing out the creative types just wanting to make good games

Xbox games getting lower scores than other platforms - sounds like the Xbox tax argument can keep going for another year….

@themightyant I would tend to agree with your observations. However my counterpoint would be that there are roughly 60% of gamers not playing live service so we are indeed in the majority. It is just the charts are weighted to show live service as popular. 40%/10 live service is 4% which much higher than the 60%/1000 games. The problem is both models are unsustainable… only so many players for live service and so much backlog for regular games.

Want to get into Rogue Trader but realistically Gris and Boltgun with a pinch of Slay the Spire - enjoy!

And I don’t own or play any of those games … there seems two different groups of gamers… I’m in the rpg open world single player group

It’s Rogue Trader for me and what a great start to the year… GP has me covered for RPG’s

and when they say trained … I can imagine all the fine print saying all our interactions with games are being tracked and stored and used to develop AI …

I have very limited playing but seemed fun so far but I can see why it has generally been given an 8/10… but this is my jam so I’m happy!

I decided to play Gris and Boltgun - both are fun and should have played them sooner

Got it downloading so will play tonight… a lot of people bought early access as Avowed already #15 on most played games last week- even more than are playing KCD2

Seriously need to figure out a better method to playing all these GP games… taking an hour and switching to something else is not working… if you love rpg this month is amazing…

Yawn, nothing we didn’t already know… wake me up when Avowed is here…. There is no way Fable releases in 2025 … just no space in the schedule for it to land until early 2026 - even if it is ready….

What if the next console isn’t a console at all? My guess is a docking station with a handheld.. that with integrated AI and the Kojima game OD may be what we are getting and if that is the case it could be sooner than later…

I see the download is about 75 GB so a pretty meaty download … about average for a new RPG …

Still very interested in playing … some of the cons are not cons for me. Just give me a fun game…

Well the reviews are coming in positive and where most of us thought in the low 80’s. Will I enjoy it - based on the comments- yes I will! I don’t have the expectation that it is the second coming of Skyrim like some of the reviewers…

If you don’t think scores are subjective then I present you Civilization 7 - the reviews are all over the place depending your perspective….
