Move day 1 releases to the second tier and keep the ubi and Fortnite in ultimate and I'll just grab that one instead.

I knew Day 1 releases were too good to be true. They continue to be dumb though...by telling us that their games will arrive a year later, patient gamers will simply wait it out and play them then instead of paying the extra price MS are demanding now.

Called it. Absolutely called it. Buying out Activision was going to be this company's end. Screw Xbox, I hope they go under.

Personally I thought the original was pretty overrated. Plenty of 2D metroidvanias that deserve just as much if not more praise.

It's a struggle trying to manage the happiness of my Alters with resources available...but it's always a struggle with these types of games. I'm just too nice a person and hate to tell people no, even myself. 😂

They're bumping games up to Switch 2 prices so they probably feel justified raising the sub too.

People are really passing over Slayers X huh? If you miss the Duke Nukem era boomer shooters (with all of the edgy cringe intact) you really need to play it. It's actually a pretty competently made game.

So basically, anything third party will run like ass on it and anything first party will run like ass on it 2 years later.

As much as I've moved on from physical gaming for the most part it simply boggles them mind why Microsoft wouldn't put the full game on the disc. It almost feels like false advertising, It wouldn't surprise me if they get a lawsuit on their hands eventually.

An Xbox is never "just" a gamepass machine. Especially if you get into dev mode and...mess around with some things there.

I'm expecting a price increase and the complete removal of the rewards program. Which is fair because I just got 3 free months for literally 0 dollars, just biding my time slowly earning points.

I'm lucky I picked it up last black Friday. No way I would have bought one at these inflated prices.

I guess instead of spending points for gamepass, it'll probably be better to save them to redeem money and purchase the games you really want instead.

Also, you guys still get the option to redeem for just 1 month? They took that away from us a couple months ago.

This new release taught me that the majority of civ players absolutely hate paying full price for a game they will spends hundreds if not thousands of hours in.

I beat tales of Arise because it's also leaving PlayStation plus this month. The last few hours were an absolute slog but up until that point it was a fun, if generic, experience and story. I don't regret going through it, probably one of the better tales game though Berseria and Symphonia are still my faves.

I clocked in at around 40 something-ish hours. I did a majority of the side quests but by the end I just wanted it to be over. Might be tough to get it done in the time left. I really wish Microsoft gave us at least a month warning in advance like PlayStation does.

To me it felt like glorified DLC, which it probably was. A lot of recycled content and the villains of the game were pretty bad.

I need someone to do the math. Are we actually getting more points this way or is this another nerf?

Crackdown 1 is what I've been playing to earn points so I can purchase game pass again. I'm like 400 points away to another free 3 month sub!

Maybe if I wait right up until the last month I'll get an even bigger discount. Yes I pennypinch everything in my life.

Lol they're begging all those people on Twitter that love to voice support on games but never actually play them, to actually play their game. I think that'll get them a like and a retweet at best!

For some reason Microsoft seems to have started taking Ls after acquired Activision. Is their stink contaminating Xbox?

It feels bad to be right. I absolutely KNEW they would increase the price of Gamepass after acquiring Call of Duty. That snake Phil Spencer lies again! My Gamepass ran out like 2 months ago and I'll probably never resubscribe again!

I wasn't really a part of the 360 era, though I did own one that I shared with my brother. I played through the fable franchise, some of the more obscure JRPGs that Xbox got...but never really got to experience it. Then the 360 suddenly went "missing" for years, with my brother swearing he didn't know where it went...

Until he finally just gave it to me last year, acting like he'd always had it and I'd never asked. Well, now that I've finally got it I'm looking forward to diving back into the old library and seeing what I can pick up that I never got to play in this sale. I've since picked up a series S so it's not like I don't have access to a majority of the big important releases but it'll be fun to go through those truly exclusive 360 experiences.

Yeah my sister doesn't play games too often but she did play this one back in the day. If anything I see it as empowering for women since everyone has to rely on the girl to kick ass, I mean her boyfriend is literally just a useless severed head that is basically an accessory.

Which is going to be a bit sad. Like seeing kids nowadays saying Half Life 2 looks like a skibidi toilet rip-off.

Hike that price up and my Xbox will find itself a comfortable spot in a drawer.

I got a 360 back in the day but didn't really use it over my PS3 because I've never really been a multiplayer type of gamer. I only recently came back to the Xbox ecosystem because of Gamepass. This on top of Xbox being... highly customizable and allowing me to play games I wouldn't have easy access to otherwise.

To be fair it wasn't always specific like that. I feel like only 2 weeks ago it started to specifically say to play 15 minutes.

Microsoft should do a "gone forever" section in the sales just to save me the effort of looking up which games are digital only and not backwards compatible.

Obviously they're going to pursue the avenues that will pay back the highest returns... seemingly at the expense of everything else.

As expected. Buying Activision was just going to be to justify a price hike. So much for being "for the gamers".

How's about current gen versions of 3/New Vegas?

If I can start it on quality then I might go that route because it's practically unplayable if I get used to performance and try to see what quality mode is like.

Ravenlok played kind of janky on series S but I also finished it. I also completed Besiege, mostly using other people's contraptions since building felt miserable on controller. The only other game I tried was Loot river and, while the concept is fun, I wasn't super interested in another rogue like. In other words I played through everything I wanted this time.

My nephew and I used to play this game all the time. Can't wait to let him know the new version is finally coming out.

As usual whenever I finally get into the loop the thing gets nerfed to oblivion. It sounded like people could make a ton of points during it's hayday.

Eastward. I play a bunch of the free Gamepass offerings that don't wind up clicking but Eastward was a fun and wholesome experience.

If I'm spending money then I want really long games to justify the purchase. If I'm just grabbing something off Gamepass then I don't mind the length. My favorite games tend to be ones with near endless replay value, like Civilization 6 and Stellaris. Stuff like that.

Tried to play infinite guitars but the game kept crashing and freezing and getting stuck in cutscenes on me. Oh well I guess...

I feel kind of bad for it because it actually looks pretty fun. Then again so did Forspoken.

I only really have Halo perma-installed and add/remove anything else as needed.
