Cliff Bleszinski was the most late 2000s dude there ever was. It's like he was factory created to exist in that specific time, to the point that he just seems like kind of a meme nowadays.
I just checked PSN and the Ori games aren't on there. For someone who doesn't seem to care where you play your games, he seems pretty happy to not put his games where an even larger number of gamers can play them. I dunno man, he sounds almost salty about Gamepass too. Some people should have their tweets veted before blurting out whatever they're thinking.
Really wish they would give us a solid month warning like PlayStation does. Even just 1 more extra week makes all the difference in finishing a game in time.
Someone is going to need to do a deep dive into Embracer group. What was their goal? Why were they buying up so many dev studios just to sell them off or shut them down?
I just wish the other stages were actual stages instead of "Do the exact things all over again". The gameplay is just too simple to simply replay like that.
Everything that Ubisoft releases nowadays just seems too same-y to me. A shame since back on the PS3/360 they were kings. I bought every Ubi game on release. Nowadays I've been burned too many times by them.
Had to pause my persona 3 Reload playthrough to get through soul hackers. Going from that game to this one really does hammer home that soul hackers feels like a budget game. The gameplay is still there but everything else is just a bit... lacking. From the music to the presentation, it just can't hold a candle to reload.
Will Microsoft allow the Elder Scrolls 6 on PlayStation when the time comes? Didn't Sony have to fight Microsoft just to guarantee Call of Duty comes to PlayStation for a couple years? Why did Microsoft buy up multiplatform studios just to have them make games exclusively on Xbox? Why doesn't Phil just shut his mouth and stop fueling the toxicity?
2013 was a bit too gruesome for me. The game over scene where Lara gets impaled through the throat still haunts me. Not sure why those needed to be so detailed. 😅
And I don't get how it helps the industry for Microsoft to buy up once multiplatform studios to then make their games exclusives. I love my Xbox but man is Phil a terrible spokesperson.
I unfortunately re-caught the cold I got back in December so I've been dealing with that. When I've been feeling well enough though I've been spending quality time with Persona 3 and loving it.
I don't really care, the Xbox does one thing that PlayStation still won't (coughemulatorcough) so it will always have a place on my shelf. As for the games, Starfield is on Gamepass. It likely won't be on plus with PlayStation. I will continue to play games where they are cheapest for me.
Seems to me like I was on the money about this being another Gotham Knights. The difference being was that Gotham Knights at least still stuck to it's roots, this one is just another looter shooter. Oh well, it'll probably be on Gamepass at some point.
This is actually my chill game for when I've had a long day. Fire up some solo against bots and maybe crash a few jets without worrying about letting the team down lol
I have like 4 Xbox 360 and no series games physical. Same with PlayStation 5. I still pick up switch games physical but that's because I hate using the Internet on that thing.
@oopsiezz To be fair they haven't had a game blow up like this before. A smart business man would put everyone on the team focused on this game, releasing patches and pushing out updates. They managed to gain mass appeal, now they have to see if they can keep it.
But seriously, it's in early access and it shows. The game crashed straight to dashboard like 4 times yesterday but even then it's been both a fun and interesting experience. I doubt the game will have legs for me unless they continue to update it and the novelty of squirrels with machine guns will wear off but honestly this is a pretty good balance of Pokemon and Ark, which to my knowledge hasn't been done before. Doesn't exactly cater to people who solely prefer one or the other but it's a solid little experience. I gave it an 8 and would probably give it a 9 if graphics and frame rate issues are patched.
Somehow the developers said "Let's just throw everything in from every popular game" and it wound up working. Something tells me even they didn't expect this to be as big of a bit as it was but it really is a more approachable Ark game. As someone who has played a lot of Ark I do miss some of the more complex strategies for catching beasts that that game had but appreciate the simplified approach of this game and how easy it is to automate your base. Though the sheer absurdity of a squirrel sitting on my head firing a submachine gun at my enemies is definitely a new experience for me and I love it.
None of these games are for me. It's nice to see the developers full of passion but nothing really stood out or called to me. Closest one would probably be avowed but even that just reminded me of that EA game that failed to make waves.
I don't really think anyone was asking for this but okay. I just want Microsoft to make more great games rather than trying to be a part of the great games everyone else makes.
As someone who still plays Age of Empires 2 by themselves against AI despite everyone telling me multiplayer is where the fun is, I can see myself enjoying the safer seas experience...if only they didn't neuter it for whatever reason. Why can't people just play the game how they want to play it?
@Kaloudz
Well, I guess it kind of depends what platforms you have available. If we're sticking solely to the Xbox then at this point I might skip out on the original version of persona 3, or portable for that matter, and start with Persona 4 Golden. Then play Persona 5 Royal if you liked golden and finish up with Persona 3 Reload. Each of these games are enhanced versions of the original with more content and better quality of life, so I don't really see a reason to go back and play the originals. Luckily all the games are essentially standalone experiences, besides very minor references or easter eggs to earlier games.
@Kaloudz yeah that sounds about right, I remember my original playthrough of the game clocking in at around 80 hours or so. From the look of things it wouldn't surprise me if this remake is even longer.
@Aigis Yeah, back on the psp. I didn't really like the downgrade to picking things off a screen rather than being able to explore the town but I can understand the limitations at the time. I'm excited to revisit this place, looks like it'll feel almost like a brand new experience.
@Kaloudz Yep, the original Persona 3 started my obsession with the games many years ago back on the PS2. They are really long games but if you enjoy a mix of visual novel with very solid RPG gameplay I think you might enjoy it.
Not really, though I did play through the entirety of Valhalla. I just felt like I was running through checklists the whole time, sure there were small dopamine rushes here and there but ultimately it simply dragged on too long. Now it seems like Ubisoft doesn't know what to do with the series since Mirage wasn't exactly a return to form for them.
Here's my advice, completely rip off the gameplay of the Hitman games but make it unique by adding all the parkour elements and abilities of the assassin's creed games. Make stages large replayable sandboxes with targets that you can kill in multiple unique ways, taking different paths and triggering different events that unlock different areas to carry out your assassinations. Bring stealth back in a meaningful way, reward creativity and careful planning.
Nothing, Gamepass and PlayStation Extra are more than enough gaming for me. They really wanted to push these subscriptions, so good luck getting me to spend on any games ever again! (Curse you Nintendo!!)
Between Gamepass and PlayStation Extra I have too many games to play to think about buying something. Only games I purchased were on the switch because Nintendo doesn't offer a competitive service and that's why I've only played 2 Nintendo games all year.
Hopefully dedicated members of the community wind up picking up the slack, like how a lot of ps3 Sony games that once had their servers shut off are coming back.
@CutchuSlow That's exactly what I do, I actually try to get through every (or as many of) the "leaving soon" games before they exit the service. I haven't bought a new game since Tears of the Kingdom forced me to on the switch (which is the only Switch game I've played all year). I'm really getting a ton of value out of the subscription services and am also discovering awesome new games I wouldn't have tried if I had to actually pay for them (Shout-out to chained echoes and before that Eastward!)
